Back at the camp, Sylvie had begun to send spears of stone at the giants that were approaching. There was a dark haired giant with a club, a blonde and one that had its brown hair in braids. All wearing animal and mystical beast skins as clothes. The giants laughed and continued to walk towards them as they punched the spears on the side before hitting them to break the trajectory and destroy them as well. Sylvie decided to take an offensive position and ran towards them in half Lycan and human form to maintain her enhanced speed and balance. She touched the ground as she ran and the earth began to rise like a tsunami wave. She leaped to ride the wave while Kane used the falling chunks of earth debris as stepping stones to get higher in the air. His plan was to get high enough and dart to one of the giants. As Sylvie got close she manipulated the earth underneath her to form a giant golem that rivaled the size of the blonde giant. Kane leaped onto the giant with the braids as the golem threw a fist out to punch the blonde giant in front of it. As soon as Kane leapt, the giant with braids swung at him, but Kane used his claws to latch onto its knuckles and then snake up his arm with speed while numbing the giant's arm with electricity. Then the giant tried to swat off Kane by brushing his shoulder,but it was too slow and Kane had sunk its claws around its neck effectively cutting it deep enough to cause it to choke on his blood and collapse. The dark haired had walked past the fight to get the horses, but paused as he heard his kin fall. He looked back shocked to see his brother on the ground. Then noticed it was Kane who was now rushing towards him. The blonde giant was furious and grabbed the closest trees near him to tow them at Kane. Now Kane had to dodge every flying tree coming at him. He just needed to get close enough to stun him and proceed. The giant then dug his foot in the ground to create his own wave to hit Kane in the area. Sylvie's Golem now had the Giant's hand on a lock with her Golem. The giant snickered and said, "once this golem breaks I'm going to enjoy picking my teeth with your bones." Sylvie gave him a smile and said, " great idea , once it breaks." In the next moment, a spear shot out from the golems' chest. The spear went through the Giant's heart. The blonde giant stood hooked to the spear almost hugging the golem . Sylvie turned her attention to the fight behind her. She manipulated the stone in her golems' back to form more spears and sent them flying at the giant now fighting Kane. The giant was so focused on Kane that he didn't block the first round of spears. He got shot through the rib, on his arm, on the right side of his chest. His face was in the line of fire but the first arrow made him take a step back. The spear just barely misses him. The blonde giant felt fear for his life as he saw his two brothers had fallen and he was close to death himself. He decided to retreat and ran off in a different direction. Kane was in pursuit when Sylvie told him via mindlink, "leave him, our mission is keeping the horses safe. Not hunt giants."
Kane was disappointed because he was finally allowed to fight something that was a challenge. The Lycans had been in hiding for so long to avoid getting captured and enslaved again. It reminded him of the times they were free. He let out a sigh and began to return to the camp with Sylvie. They were a little out of shape from their normal peak, because their heat rate was still high for minutes after.
Once they got to the camp, Sylvie mindlinked Gideon for a status report. Gideon told her their current situation where the men are now collecting rewards before he told her what Eden had done when they arrived. He asked Sylvie, "who does that remind you of?" "Celeste," she answered as she shook her head. She was cursed with serving under the command of another reckless leader who puts themselves in danger. She covers her forehead to massage the tension between her brows. Kane looked at Sylvie and said, "I know that looks very well. It's the same look you have after Queen Celeste jumps first, then deals with the consequences after." Kane didn't receive the report Gideon gave, but he was not far from the truth.
Back in Callan's castle, Callan and Muffin were sitting in a love seat. He was wearing purple clothes fit for a royal and she was wearing a corset and mini ruffled skirt. There was wine and cheese on the table, paired with crackers and fruits. Muffin was finishing updating Callan of the details that happened in Eden's castle. He smiled at the information, now he had a person on the inside and another female he could manipulate to his liking, Blowzella. He patted Muffin on the head and he said, "good girl." Then he leaned in to whisper in her ears, "I'm going to treat you very well tonight." Muffin's face blushed and she pressed her legs closer together as she bit her lower lip. Callan gave her a smirk before saying, "patience mouse." He got up to leave the room, but Muffin squealed, "where are you going?" He turned to look at her and said, " to change, this is a new outfit." She sat back down disappointed because they could all change with one voice command. After closing the door behind him, Callan switched his clothes to just a white long sleeve shirt and trousers. He had a look of agitation, " how long do I have to entertain useless women before I can get one that is capable of being my puppet." He combed his hair with a stressed look. Then he decided to go to the study to find out something else. Maybe even begin working on Blowzella.
Callan entered his study to catch his gargoyle having a conversation with someone who couldn't be seen. An echoing voice said, "find out how Merlin escaped and where the rest of those Lycans are or your deal is off." Callan walked in, " what deal?" The gargoyle now had an irritated look. He answered, " the one where I was granted freedom of my consciousness in exchange for information." Callan poured himself a drink of scotch and smelled it slowly then said. "You say this world is partially real, that could explain how accurate the sense of smell is." He took a sip and then said, " I need you free, so I can keep getting the perks. I have someone infiltrating the alliance, it's only a matter of time before there's division among them. And nothing is more satisfying than seeing a woman become my pet. I'm missing a kitten in my collection." He was talking about Blowzella who he was using Muffin to hook her in. "It's not her we need information on, you know that." Callan got irritated, he knew Eden was the one but she was a wild horse who refuses to be broken.
Callan finished his drink in one gulp and said, "I have to send this mouse home so she can attract the kitten to my layer. I'll be back." Callan returned to the room Muffin was in and told her, "you need to go back and find out more information on Eden's staffing. It wasn't enough, the mood is gone." He tossed a cloak at her and said, " you can't stay the night." Then he left without letting her say another word. He smirked as he left and returned to the study to make plans with his gargoyle. He wanted to know more about what he overheard. Lycans, where would they be hiding if he hasn't seen them.
