Togata goes back at night as he easily hops over the school gate and enters the school. He walks through the empty halls and enters the music class to see the paintings on the wall.
''This must be it''. Togata says.
''So how do you suppose we activate them young master?''. Tick asks.
''No Idea, forgot to ask''. Togata replies as he goes through the school touching the instruments as he smiles lightly.
''Hm, well then we should call one of your friends should we not?''. Tick says.
''No, let's leave them to sleep, they've done enough for me...I think we can figure it out on our own...''. Togata says as he picks up the guitar.
''Never got to learn this...''. Togata says as he plays it badly.
Then he walks around the room and sees a piano and goes to sit down on the bench with a smile.
''Oh young master I see you've been reunited with your long lost favorite instrument''. Tick teases.
Togata plays Fur Elise happily as he struts across the piano with style.
Aira hops over the gate as she followed him from Momo's house.
''He must be here right? I'm just checking on him to make sure he doesn't get himself killed, that's all''. She tells herself as she walks through the halls as she heard the sound of music playing.
She goes to the music class's door and eavesdrops hiding behind the wall near the open door.
''You seem to be enjoying yourself a bit too much young master''. Tick says.
''No...This is research''. Togata smirks. ''I'm not usually the brightest light bulb when it comes to solving puzzles but I'm pretty sure playing the instruments at a certain time will 'wake' the orchestra, like a stage call? What do you think?''.
''Spot on as always, well then I must join in must I not!?''. Tick says as he grabs a trumpet and begins to play.
''Tick...You never told me you could play trumpet''. Togata says with a smile.
''I cannot reveal my charms all at once or I might risk killing you''. Tick replies proudly.
''Uh huh, How are you even playing that thing with no lungs''. Togata asks.
''Don't ask questions you do not want the answer to. Ignorance is bliss young master''. Tick jokes.
''Well then let me switch over to something more fitting''. Togata jokes as he gets up and goes to the violin and begins to play.
''As beautiful as ever, this reminds me of our days at AstroNova, glad to see your skills are still sharp''. Tick says.
''Right back at you Ticky''. Togata laughs.
''Are they just playing around?! Can't he take this seriously!?''. Aira thinks to herself angry as she trips but catches herself pulling her body out of sight just in time.
Tick and Togata notice but they don't speak.
''You're plan doesn't seem to be working young master''. Tick says looking at the entrance to the classroom.
''Give it a minute, maybe they're sleeping''. Togata replies as he points to the door.
''Sleeping?''. Aira asks herself as she eavesdrops.
Tick flies through the wall out of the classroom to see Aira.
''Oh, why hello there miss Shiratori''. Tick says.
''AHH!". Aira screams as she is spooked by the sudden greeting. She stumbles backwards right into Togata who's now standing at the door.
''Boss lady...Hey there''. Togata says jokingly.
Aira is still too scared to process what's going on as she tries to hit him.
Togata catches the fist. ''Hi? And why may I ask are you spying on me?''.
''I uhh! Just wanted to come to make sure you don't get yourself killed, because you came so I'll-prepared!''. Aira says.
''I'll be fine I told you, plus you can't always be there to help me, I should start getting used to it''. Togata says as he lets go of her hand. ''I appreciate the gesture nevertheless''.
Togata looks around. ''You came alone?''.
''Yeah....Well.....See, as leader I don't have to rely on anyone, in fact when we came here the first time Takakura said I basically carried the whole fight''. Aira gloats. ''Or do you underestimate me?''.
''Of course not''. Togata says as he sits down at the piano bench. ''You've saved me like twice now. Just glad you came, really''.
Aira blushes slightly as she comes over to sit neat him. ''Yeah...Well of course you are''.
''Of course it would be nice to have a heads up next time miss Shiratori''. Tick comments as he flies over.
''Yeah and it would be nice if you wouldn't jump out and scare me next time Tick!''. Aira replies.
''Well we thought you were an enemy, so well....''. Tick says.
Aira crosses her arms defensively. ''Well I'm not! What are we doing here anyway? You two don't even know how to make them come out. You have to...''.
''We have to play an instrument at a certain time right?''. Togata says cutting her off.
Aira opens her eyes surprised as she stares at him. ''Yeah...How did you?''.
''Pretty obvious, earlier you called them a Tulpa, I did my research and they're a being created through focused thought, usually like spirits that need a trigger, of course I guessed time, cause Okarun specifically said you came here at night, I was thinking 3am the witching hour but I came earlier to try it at 1am due to a little problem we could be having any minute now.''. Togata explains.
''Anyway, so was it 3 am or just any time at night?''. Togata asks.
Aira replies softer surprised. ''I think turbo granny said every one hour or something''.
''Oof, close enough''. Togata says with a smile.
''What problem did you mean by the way?''. Aira asks.
''Some students are coming over to test if the school is haunted, Tick overheard it, that's why I chose tonight wouldn't want them to actually find anything that can hurt them, so Tick will give them a little scare while I deal with these guys, and we have about 5 minutes till 1AM''. Togata explains.
''Oh...So that's why you so quickly''. Aira says.
''Yeah, Tick, they should be arriving right about now, go and do your thing''. Togata says as he begins playing the piano.
''Indubitably young master....Ohh, moonlight sonata, what incredible taste''. Tick says as he disappears with a bow.
Togata laughs as he plays.
''But you'll need Tick won't you?''. Aira says.
''I need to get used to fighting on my own, I can't make Tick bail me out of everything can I? Then again no worries, you're here''. Togata asks.
''Yeah guess so.....You remembered what I said earlier...You actually listen to me?''. Aira asks.
''Of course boss lady''. Togata jokes. ''You always...To be honest when you talk it shows you know a lot, I trust your experience, so I always pay attention when you speak''. Togata says still playing.
Aira blushes even more as she composes herself. ''.....You play well...Not as good as me though''.
Aira suddenly takes over the piano continuing the song.
''Oh my, you can play? I'm impressed...Do the others know?''. Togata asks.
''Of course I can. I can do a lot of things people don't know about. Anyway, your mom taught you right?''. Aira asks.
''Yeah...She did...You, remembered?''. Togata asked.
''Of course...I guess I understand why you act the way you do now. That was your first time hearing that story too wasn't it?...You didn't get a lot of time with them did you...''. Aira says.
''Yeah...You could say that...Thanks again for coming''. Togata says.
''Don't read too much into it, I told you I don't care about you like that...It's not personal or anything, you're just part of this team and anyone part of this team is under my protection''. Aira says proudly.
Togata just smiles thinking as he looks at his phone transforming. ''Well then, would you do the honors?''. Togata says gesturing to the piano.
''Of course I will''. Aira says transforming as she plays the piano horribly.
''Who is playing that disgusting shriek!?''. A voice booms in the room as the piano floats up into the air.
Suddenly six giant headed musicians in a mini-orchestra play their instruments.
''Yoo''. Togata says putting up a piece sign as he slings his scythe around his back posing chin up.
''Was it you boy!?''. The pianist shouts.
''What are you doing?! Kill them already!''. Aira whispers.
''I gotta check if they got those halo thingies first, then they're on my hit list making it importamundo, if not we could just jet and get backup''. Togata replies.
''I asked you a QUESTION!''. The pianist shouts as she room echoes.
Togata squints at their heads as he sees the halo. ''Yeah they do...Yeah it was me, what you gonna do about it?''.
''I will....Wait...You!''. All of the big headed spirits shout as they point at Aira.
''The pink haired one! You came here before and destroyed our solemn music with your ruckus before! And you've come back for a second serving!? You will get the highest most severe form of our punishment!''. The pianist shouts.
''Oof, they got like...Memories, damn''. Togata says looking at them.
''Psh, like I care, I know all your tricks!''. Aira says pointing at them furiously as she takes a stance.
''Preach boss lady, tell em!''. Togata says nonchalantly.
Aira points at all of them one by one as she speaks. ''So listen up, I fought a fricking alien invasion and I'm way stronger now! I'm gonna!...''.
''Silence! We care not about your foul mouthed speech! We would have you know we have more tricks up our sleeves! Symphony number 12!''. The pianist shouts.
Aira gasps dramatically.
''Oh...You interrupted her speech...You're cooked dudes''. Togata says.
''Attack!''. Aira shouts.
Togata and Aira jump forward as the terrain changes and they are blown back by an explosion.
