Chapter 3 - Chapter II

I already have a suspect—his bitter business partner. From what I know, that man planned to bring down my father's company, and they've been rivals for a long time. For now, that motive stays in my mind. I need solid evidence before pointing fingers. I can't afford impulsive moves. Everything must be planned carefully. I will wait for the perfect timing to strike.

If he thinks he chose the right person to mess with…

He's wrong. Dead wrong.

I will never allow my father to rot in jail over worthless accusations. I will fight for his freedom even if it costs my life. Once I pull the trigger, nothing escapes me.

He started this—so I'll be the one to end it.

I won't stop until his tiny boat sinks to the bottom.

Don't celebrate yet, you bastards. You're nowhere near victory.

I smirk to myself, imagining how they'll beg for their pathetic lives soon enough.

There is no world where I lose this fight. I'm giving it everything—until my father is proven innocent and until Adolfo receives the justice he deserves so he can finally rest in peace.

The opposing lawyer begins speaking.

"As you can see, your honor…"

She flashes the evidence, sneaking smug glances at me as if she's trying to insult me.

"These are the pieces of evidence found inside Adolfo's house. First, the blood-soaked cloth, which obviously belongs to Mang Karding. Second, the wristwatch he supposedly left in the room. And lastly, the knife used in the crime, found beside the bloody clothing."

"The evidence presented is more than enough to prove this man's guilt." She rolls her eyes at me.

"Oh! Right—this murderer is your father, isn't he?" she sneers.
