Chapter 34 - Chapter 34 — Rise of the Dimensional City

"Ultimately, this incident was caused by the Great Famine. If it were us or other races experiencing the same thing, we would probably make the same decision!"

"Although I don't think you all will fully accept this reason, but…"

Rimuru's voice echoed through the newly erected great hall of the Dimensional City, the young nation Takumi envisioned—a massive project merging high‑tech architecture with magic‑driven infrastructure. Holographic screens floated behind Rimuru, showing resource distribution, settlement zones, and energy grids—technology Takumi had introduced from his Civilization System.

Just as Rimuru continued, Benimaru stepped forward and declared loudly:

"For monsters, there is one unchanging rule! The strong prey on the weak! You should have been prepared for this when you decided to fight back!"

The hall fell silent. Representatives of the Lizardmen, Treants, Dragonewts, Goblins, Kijin, and even the newly reborn Orcs focused intently.

Rimuru glanced at Benimaru with surprise. "Your village was also destroyed by the Orcs. Don't you have any grievances?"

Benimaru's expression was calm but firm.

"To say none would be too fake. But if there's a next time, we will never be defeated so miserably again!"

"But since Lord Rimuru has declared that he does not intend to pursue the Orcs' sins, as his subordinates, we will naturally follow his will. Even if it means abandoning our hatred, we will not hesitate!"

Takumi watched Benimaru with admiration.

See! This is why Benimaru is the best subordinate. Loyal, decisive, disciplined. Who wouldn't want such a dependable general?

Rimuru nodded. "Good. Then let's discuss the resettlement of the Orcs. Despite heavy losses, there are still 150,000 survivors who need a place to live."

This time, Takumi stepped forward.

The floating holograms behind him rearranged into a large-scale map showing the outer expansion districts of Dimensional City.

"As the founder of Dimensional City, I'll merge their settlement with my development plan. The Orcs will form the First Labor Corps. In return for food and housing, they'll help construct the city's outer districts. My Civilization System has generated optimized layouts for their living zones."

Rimuru continued:

"The Lizardmen will provide water and fish. We'll provide housing and processed goods. And the Orcs will contribute their labor. All races will form the Jura Dimensional Alliance, supporting one another. What do you all think?"

The Orc Lord—now the son of the fallen Starved Krut—asked trembling:

"You mean… we Orcs… can also join this Grand Alliance?"

Rimuru nodded. "Of course. You have nowhere else to stay. But if I give you a place to live, you must work hard. I will not tolerate laziness."

The Orcs instantly knelt.

"Yes! We will work with our lives on the line!"

Toreini, the Treant protector, stepped forward.

"My tribe will supply fruits year-round to relieve their hunger. I also acknowledge Rimuru Tempest as the new ruler of the Jura Forest."

She kneeled, followed by all races.

"Lord Rimuru, please lead us!"

Rimuru nodded shyly at the sudden pressure. "W‑well… please take care of me!"

Takumi folded his arms.

With this, the Jura Forest Alliance becomes the Jura Dimensional Alliance. Soon… we'll have a full-fledged federation.

The Pighead Tribe Leader Kneels

After the meeting, Benimaru was approached by the new Pighead Tribe Leader.

He knelt fully.

"The strong prey on the weak… But hatred cannot disappear easily. It was us who destroyed your village. My death may not be enough, but—please take my head as repayment!"

Benimaru stiffened.

"We once said we wished to serve under Lord Rimuru and Lord Takumi. Lord Rimuru assigned us positions—Shion as secretary, Hakurou as instructor, Souei as spy. As for me, I was honored with the role of Garrison Commander."

Takumi muttered:

I just wanted to avoid doing the paperwork… Why does this count as an honor again?

Benimaru continued:

"One must fulfill their duties. I cannot waste valuable talent. If you respect Rimuru, then you are no longer my enemy."

The Pighead Leader trembled.

"How dare we harbor hostility?! Rimuru-sama is our savior! I swear eternal loyalty!"

Benimaru waved his hand.

"Then serve Rimuru and Takumi with your whole heart. That is the atonement we want."

Takumi grinned behind a rock.

Benimaru… what a reliable guy. He's perfect to manage the administration in the Dimensional City expansion.

Rimuru whispered,

"I should learn from him…"

"And that's why," Takumi boasted, "Benimaru is perfect as the General Affairs Commander!"

"You're too proud, Takumi!"

The Next Day — Naming and Evolution

Rimuru sighed deeply. "I'm going to name all 150,000 Orcs… Takumi, this is your fault."

Takumi patted his shoulder.

"As your best friend, I'll quietly support you from a safe distance."

"THAT'S NOT SUPPORT!"

Rimuru began the naming.

The Pighead Tribe Leader kneeled.

"I hope you inherit the will of Starved Krut. Your name shall be Kurut."

Golden light enveloped him.

Takumi watched.

This evolution energy is useful. If I gather enough, I can accelerate Dimensional City's technological tier. The Civilization System already detected fluctuations.

The naming continued for hours while holographic drones recorded the process as part of the city archives.

Takumi's Vision

When naming ended, Takumi stood atop the central tower of Dimensional City.

Floating platforms, magic‑tech cranes, and automated elemental forges illuminated the skyline.

"Civilization System," Takumi commanded, "generate long-term objectives."

A mechanical voice responded:

[Objective Generated: Establish Tier‑4 Dimensional Civilization]

[Requirements: Multi-Racial Integration · High-Tech Infrastructure · Dimensional Energy Grid · Alliance Stability · Advanced Military Constructs]

Takumi smirked.

"With my Herrscher of Finality powers, I can accelerate everything."

He looked toward Rimuru, who was exhausted from naming.

"Rimuru, Dimensional City is only at the beginning. Let's build a nation that surpasses even demon lords."

Rimuru chuckled weakly.

"As long as we don't die from overwork…"

Takumi spread his arms.

"The dawn of our civilization begins now."

And so, the development of Dimensional City, the heart of the Jura Dimensional Alliance, entered a new era—guided by Takumi, wielder of the Civilization System and the Herrscher of Finality.
