Chapter 13 - 13 MYSTICAL REALM OF ELODIR

Beneath an eternal moon that never wanes, hidden far from mortal eyes, lies a kingdom whispered of only in the oldest, most forbidden legends—The Realm of Elodir. It is a place where night never breaks, where the sun has never risen, and where every stone, every tower, and every drifting shadow is touched by silvery moonlight older than the world itself.

The Elodir skyline pierces the the moon sky with impossible, cathedral-like spires—tall, elegant structures carved from obsidian stone and infused with faintly glowing threads of lunar essence. From a distance, they resemble colossal fangs reaching to bite the moon. Their stained-glass windows burn with a cool violet radiance, casting shifting patterns of light across the mist-choked courtyards below.

The air here is thick with magic—overwhelming, ancient, and intoxicating. It sweeps through the kingdom like an invisible tide, enhancing the lives of every creature that dwells within. Even the weakest spirit beast possesses enough arcane strength to stand against seasoned warriors from the mortal realm. Some inhabitants of this land become so saturated with moon-born energy that their lifespans stretch toward near immortality, transforming into majestic, terrifying beings of myth.

The forests surrounding the towers are dense and silent, save for the haunting caws of crows that circle endlessly overhead. Their feathers shimmer faintly with violet light, and their eyes gleam with unnatural intelligence. They perch on the skeletal branches of blackened trees, guardians of secrets no mortal tongue can articulate. When they scream, their voices echo like broken whispers of forgotten souls.

Among the shadows roam creatures of the night in countless forms—some gliding through the mist like serpents made of smoke, others leaping from rooftop to rooftop with predatory grace. Wolves with silver flames in their eyes prowl the pathways, while massive horned owls circle silently, observing all with a cold, ancient wisdom. Phantom deer drift through the fog with translucent bodies, leaving ghostly trails behind them. At times, one may glimpse the silhouette of something colossal—too large, too silent, too wrong—moving behind the shrouded treeline, vanishing before its form can be comprehended.

Despite the beauty, an eerie stillness hangs over the dominion. The moonlit clouds drift slowly and heavily, as if time itself struggles to advance in this forgotten land. Magic hums beneath the ground, vibrating through the bones of anyone who stands upon the ancient cobblestone paths. Every structure feels alive, as though the kingdom itself is breathing—watching—waiting.

Those rare few who have stumbled into this realm by accident speak of the overwhelming sensation of being seen by countless unseen eyes. They describe feeling the moon's power sinking into their skin, pulling at their souls, whispering to them in a language older than creation. None who enter remain the same; many never return.

And that is why the realm of Elodir remains hidden from the mortal world, sealed behind layers of illusions, runic barriers, and shifting veil-magic. Even the most skilled sorcerers consider it a myth. The realm reveals itself only when it wishes to—only to the marked, the chosen, or the doomed. It is a kingdom of night, of magic, of beasts, of eternal moonlight… a sanctuary and a grave, depending on who dares approach it.

Here, under the endless glow of the moon, wonders and nightmares walk hand in hand. And the kingdom sleeps, dreaming ancient dreams.

This is the last kingdom across the four lands, seen by very few. Many venture to find the third kingdom but are never seen; only the high major kings of the three can go there with ease. The last gathering was for a truce to stop war within the four lands. Ever since their bond and communication have broken, all the kingdoms remain independent, without interfering with one another.

**Elodir Dynasty: Rulers of the Eternal Night**

Hidden beneath the eternal moon, the rulers of the kingdom are not merely monarchs; they are beings crafted from moonlight itself. The royal family of the realm of Elodir is known as The Moonborne Dynasty, a bloodline whose existence predates written history and whose power teeters dangerously close to immortality.

Their rule is absolute. Their presence is sacred. Their magic is overwhelming.

**Altheryon Vael'lunaris: The First Monarch**

The Sovereign of absolute power, ruler of Elodir, with an age unknown but estimated to span tens of thousands of years. The Pale Sovereign is the founder of the realm of Elodir, a being whose body radiates a faint silver light. His skin is pale like moonstone, and his long hair flows like strands of liquid frost. His eyes, cold and luminescent white, can pierce through illusions, truth, and even destiny itself. He is rarely seen in public. When he appears, shadows kneel. He possesses the ability to bend moonlight into physical forms, creating weapons, chains, and storms, and casting powerful illusions under the night. He also commands creatures of the night, including crows, wolves, and phantom beasts. He has a silent, unreadable personality, speaking in an ancient tongue that is impossible to decipher. His calm, dusk-like tone causes even elite armored warriors to tremble. He is neither cruel nor kind.

**The High Queen: Hazmat Noctivara**

Queen of the realm of Elodir and wife of Altheryon Vael'lunaris, the Moonmist Empress, she has lived for thousands of years yet appears to be in her mid-twenties. Hazmat Noctivara is born from shadows and moonfire. Her skin glows faintly violet under the night, her hair flows like dark nebulae, and her eyes are a deep, shimmering amethyst. Every step she takes leaves mist trailing behind her. She has the ability to gather the moon's power to heal, destroy, or manipulate the fates of mortals. She controls nightmares, illusions, and mental dominion. Her voice, the voice of the night, compels beasts to obey when she whispers. She also possesses a terrifying demeanor when angered.

She views the world as a chessboard, where every piece must move perfectly.

There is a son, Crown Prince Vaelion Nightreign, who is over 900 years old (considered young by Elodir standards). Vaelion is the kingdom's most powerful warrior after the king. He has a lean and flawless physique, with long silver hair that falls to his back and eyes that glow like twin moons—one silver and one blue. He moves with an eerie silence, as if gravity avoids him. He possesses the ability to perform moon flare blade attacks, which are crescent-shaped energy strikes capable of slicing through mountains. He often uses Shadowstep during combat, allowing him to move instantly through darkness. He has a Beast Pact bonded with a mythical moon-wolf that follows him everywhere. Additionally, he has a cold and emotionally distant personality. He is feared by enemies, admired by soldiers, and adored by maidens. He rarely smiles. He has a sister named Princess Roze Lunara, who is the most mysterious member of the dynasty. Soft-spoken and gentle, she wanders through the kingdom accompanied by flocks of glowing crows that protect her. She is said to have the purest moon essence in the entire royal bloodline.

Her presence calms any creature—even the fiercest beasts bow their heads to her. She possesses the ability to create luminous flowers that heal, purify, or unleash deadly moonlight blasts. She commands a legion of mystical crows that scout the shadows. She watches over the land, the kingdom, and the villagers, constantly scanning the surroundings for danger. She is wise and is said to have lived for 400 years (in Elodir, she is still considered a child).

She constantly yearns for the outside world, a world beyond their realm that has something called the sun, shining bright and warm. She can't stop thinking about what it will look like and wishes to see it someday, although the king forbids it. Sometimes she confides in Vaelion, the first prince of Elodir, trying to convince him to take her outside their realm. He continually dismisses her, telling her that the king has set up a powerful barrier and that there are dangerous things out there, making it impossible to leave. He adds that it might be dangerous for her, which she always strongly opposes.
