Chapter 3 - Star of the Morning

After sleeping for however long it was…it was night time…I don't remember the night sky ever looking this beautiful…

It was gorgeous in a way if "Majestic" was a literal thing you can glimpse at, the colors and lighting that the twilight sky alongside the moon shone that just…brought everything together.

I believe I spent an hour alone just marveling at it all…it was a sight I would never wish to forget…nor do I believe I ever will.

I wonder if galaxies are even a thing…God was a thing right? That who I am assuming picked me up from that "nothingness".

Afterall, ignorant I may be, but any moron would know that angels typically are known as good servants of God,…unless you live under a rock that is.

I finally stood up after a restful sleep and wonderful stargazing,…now that I had the time to actually think…to process…to actually be in a calm mind.

It occured to me that I was bum ass naked…and yet I felt no shame in the presence of those five angels, and neither do I do now…I had no idea why.

It was like it was only natural for me to be nude, it was…certainly strange to wake up to a body of a bodybuilder on steroids on a verge of life support.

I see that Hanma was putting in the work…be it from the soles of the feet to the hamstring, to my rock hard six pack, to my pecs, to my neck…I was simply pure muscle.

I wasn't hungry, nor thirsty…considering this is paradise, would I ever feel either of those? I only fell asleep becuase I was overwhelmed earlier, not like it matters…I don't piss or shit, so even if I do consume things, I will never need to worry about bathroom hygiene.

Still want to eat though…but purely for pleasure's sake than literally anything else…I have the tongue of the Nakiri and I had Expert Cooking.

I may as well and use them.

I took a deep breath, deeper than a usual one, and reached for my chi, the energy that flowed through my body, and simply let it flow around me.

…Instantly, I was aware of my immediate surroundings, my body, completely uncovered except for my luxurious hair, I could pick up on the wind.

…I could feel the softly exhaling creatures of the forest be it a pigeon on a tree, a bear in a cave, or a rabbit in a burrow, I was aware of the gently swaying blades of grass and flora around me, dancing to the rhythm of the night.

Going through the motions, almost on instinct, a skill ingrained in my soul and body, I went through the martial forms that were based on Baguazhang (also known as Eight Trigram Palm).

And the wind responded.

I moved across the open field in smooth, circling steps, tracing wide arcs in the grass as if walking the edge of an invisible spiral.

My palms flowed from one shape to the next—fingers relaxed, wrists soft—gliding through the air like drifting leaves caught in a gentle current.

Each twist of the waist sent a ripple through my whole body, turning my frame effortlessly as I pivoted around an unseen center.

Sometimes sinking low, posture rooted and solid; other times he rose light on his feet, body gliding sideways with serpentine grace.

Even in stillness of my form seemed to breathe, every motion quietly weaving into the next, fluid, continuous, and unbroken.

Seemingly dancing under the moon light, Efficient Cells and Hanma hard at work, Aura Farming instinctually applied to make every one of my movements seem almost mystical…though I didn't know why I felt like I needed to do it now of all times, alone in the fields.

The wind flowed as I guided it, twirling, coiling, gentle gusts of wind spiraling all together into a force of nature.

I spun in a circle in a direction, before releasing a uncontrolled, strong burst of air in a direction, all in one go, it caught me by surprise when suddenly, an incredibly strong wind flowed through the field of flowers and trees, the floral from largest to smallest bending from the sheer force.

Before I straighten my form, took a deep breath and exhaled, calming my energy down to a chiller level.

Ding! Thoroughly Impress and Stun Uriel with Airbending performance he has never seen before! You have earned a Gold Skill Gacha Ticket for surprising an Angel!

[Krav Maga]

Uncommon Skill

You are an apprentice of Krav Maga, a brutally efficient martial art made for military use, it emphasizes instinctive movements, rapid strikes, and efficient takedowns to neutralize threats as quickly as possible. Krav Maga incorporates techniques from boxing, wrestling, judo, and street fighting. With sufficient mastery, you can enhance your strikes with your internal energy.

Oh well shit, I was being watched…thanks anyway I guess.

Though I feel like it doesn't synergise well with Airbending which was a shame.

I fell like it would have worked better with Earth or Fire Bending, but not like I had a choice in a matter what the Gacha gives sadly…not unless it's a multiple choice.

I felt like I was born anew when I started adventuring through my…I suppose my kingdom, the air my loyal friend, pointing out everything that roamed in the night…though it was steadily becoming Dawn, though not quite yet, as it shifted to Twilight.

…What was there to do even? Simply eternally relax? All with a angel watching over me too…

I still didn't know how to feel about the fact that…they are just gonna make me a wife to bang…when you can create people…where do you draw the line even?

Shaking the thoughts away for later, I controlled walking through the forest, when coming across a creature, I examined it and petted it, and strangely when I recognized a creature each time, its name instantly shifted to being what I recognized.

"Oh look a Lion" suddenly, becuase my brain instantly recognized it and categorized it as such, that became the creatures name.

…Didn't that effectively make my duty to name the creatures…practically finished? All I would need to do is go to each one and call out their name, like a real life version of an animal picture book for kindergartners.

From the woods, to the small hills, to the gentle stream that led to a waterfall…it was all unique and wonderous sights, each more beautiful than the last.

Like painters and sculptors were also Terraformers that brought their vision and dreams to life…which is likely what the angels basically are…divine artists?

…There's something I can do, fishing, and there was a big enough river to do so…I may feel guilty killing a land animal here, seeing how peaceful and friendly each one were in their individual pets, but a fish?

A fish I can handle, and it was relaxing to.

Now…I know I at some point I listened relatively recently back in my old life on how to make a outdoor fishing rod…how did it go?

…I searched around the local plants, trying to search through the thin flora until I found what I believe was right…dogbane, or at least close enough.

I broke off the dead stalks on the outside to get rid of the stringy material, its fiber I will make use of for its incredible strength, rubbing and rolling it around in my hand to get rid of the brittle outer layer…before I took the remaining strands and started twisting it, over and over, layering it to strengthen it more…until I had my string.

I then went to the closest rose, and plucked it, ripping a lower part of its stem for its thorn that will serve as my hook…while the rest of the beautifully red flower I placed on my ear.

Digging in the dirt, I found my prey that was in a form of a earth worm, and punctured it on the thorn I tied on the string, which I tied on a particularly large stick I found—not before I swung it in a air a few times to "get a feel for it"—and in the end, I found a good, flat rock on a elevated level above the water, and threw it into the water.

[Junimo]

Common Familiar

Stardew Valley - Junimos are lesser forest spirits and are called the keepers of the forest. They are supernaturally good at maintaining forests, wildlands, and farms, as well as farming effectively, but lack any offensive abilities. You get 50 Junimos, and that number increases as you get stronger.

Oh…interesting, but doesn't Eden maintain itself basically?…I guess I just have adorable little creatures to roam around and help when asked.

…This does remind me, I will eventually have to actually pull Alcremie out of the Familair Space, though I should figure out when the Angel isn't watching…I kinda didn't want to awkwardly explain where it came from.

Though I suppose I could just play dumb…that is certainly an option.

I spent the next hour simply sitting with the rod in hand, eyes closed as I felt the soothing morning wind, the flowing water below, the swaying trees around me, to the scent of the flowers.

It was relaxing, it was soothing, like nothing ever was in my ordinary modern life.

The sun, by now gently peaking over like a new friend from over the horizen, greeting me with its warmth and shine on my face, my eyes still closed.

By now I have already caught and tugged out two fishes beside me that I snapped the spine of, and tried to go for a third.

Ding! Caught a Fish during fishing! Get a Bronze Random Gacha Ticket!

[Novice Blunt Weapon Mastery]

Common Skill

You are reasonably talented in handling blunt weapons such as hammers or clubs. You know how to move your body to do damage with the instrument you are holding, but there is only so much finesse to handling a large stick.

Fair enough, it seems I was slowly developing the ability to fight with anything, be it unarmed, blunt, or polearm.

Suddenly…I sensed through Airbending that somebody quite literally appeared out of nowhere in a middle of the sky, flapping wings that numbered three pairs in total.

It was quite a distance away too, the fact that I can sense it was a half a mile away…was it becuase I was naked that I could pick up on air currents so much easier?

An angel flew over and landed near me, based on the vague size…I was betting on Samuel, but I could be wrong on any one of them except Sera.

There was literally no mistaking here with her sheer height.

We were quiet for a minute before he decided to speak out, "So…what's you up to?" And sure enough I recognized the voice to be Samuel.

I looked over, my face stoic, and yet my eyes and hair I could feel shifted to the color, it was Bright Orange-Yellow (Amber Spark), responding to him, "Fishing".

He was frowning in confusion, wearing the same clothing I saw him last time, once again I felt no shame with how underdressed I was, nor did he seem to care.

"You…are trying to be a fish?" He tried to decipher what "Fishing" was, which fair based on the word and "-ing" it wasn't a bad guess, but entirely wrong.

I snorted, "I am catching fish," I clarified to him, watching him blink as he finally looked at what I had in my hands.

"…who gave that to you?" He took a few steps to me to examine it closer, "…it seems like a rough job, who gave it to you?" Poking a few times with his finger.

What was funny was that even while I was sitting, I was just barely taller than him if I sit straight.

I shrugged, "No one" which just added to his confusion, before he had a spark of realization, "YOU made it?! In a matter of hours after creation?," there was an impressed look, maybe even a little bit of awe.

Looking over my little creation with a new look, he looked at the string made of plant fiber, tied to my long stick, I would even bet with his angelic eyes he can spot the thorn I used for a hook.

He then put his hands together, rubbed them, and a light emerged that temporarily blinded me before it died down and in his hands was a …more refined fishing rod.

Sure it had a long white substance that looked like a stick in shape, maybe birch, it had a string like substance that at the end was fused with the hook.

"Look! I have one too!" I raised an eyebrow at him and his silver rod, before I scoffed and had a little smirk.

"Well of course, it's very easy with your magic…it's a lot harder to make with the materials in the garden, Samuel," I retorted, giving a little chuckle at the end of it.

His eyes clouded in thought, before he blinked and realized I was right as his face dropped a smile to a more neutral one as he thoughtfully looked at his fishing rod.

He shrugged, the rod vanishing, "I mean your not wrong…" as we remained silent for a solid minute.

Opening my eyes once more to look at the bored him, I gave him a very small smile, my amusement growing larger, "…Want me to teach you how?"

His eyes widened before he responded, "YEAH! I would love to! Show me how!" I blinked at his enthusiasm, before I shrugged.

I jammed the rod into the dirt floor after dragging the rose thorn hook out of the water, hopefully it will stay in place.

"Then follow me…it may take a while for you".

And it did…sort of, the first step was to—the instinct of every guy out there of any age—to find a stock sword.

I did a mock swing, to which he immediately caught with his own "blade", "Ha-ha-HA, buddy!, you will have to try harder than THAT to catch me off guard," as he waved a finger at me with a smug smile.

Only to immediately use Intermediate Polearm Mastery and poke him in the sternum, "Ow!" He said, though I could see it was more out of shock than any actual pain.

After a little bit of "swordplay", I helped him find a good patch of Dogbane, teaching him how to dismantle it by hand, which…admittedly took him time.

He was glaring as the plant fiber with a look that looked to be a cross between a glare and a pout as he tried to twist it into shape.

"-Take some strands and start twisting it until it kinks in the middle, twist the top set of strands to the right and then grab both and twist them to the left-," I patiently instructed him what felt like a fifth time.

"Yeah yeah yeah, I got it," he said with a hint of annoyance, as he once more tried to twist it, while his hands were covered in dirt, a look of pure focus and concentration to not be too loose less he risk undoing his work but not too tight that his strength rips it apart.

Until finally, he managed to make one of decent size, before he started putting it all together after a took another thorn off of the rose I had on my ear (the prickling sensation didn't bother me).

After finishing, we had a fishing rod that was off similar shape to mine, and Sam here took the time to actually take in the magicless creation of his in his hands.

"This…this feels different somehow…I don't know why, I made one earlier much more easily than this," as he stood in place, gripping the rod with both hands.

Now we were back to my fishing spot, now with company, he shuffled in place, the hook in the water with the bait, as we sat together by the river under the morning sun.

"…This is a lot more boring than it looked from back there," he admitted as he gazed off into the river.

I burst out belly laughing, which surprised him quite a bit since because of my curses, if I had no emotion-changing hair and eyes, I would be mostly monotone and stoic.

I looked at him with a smile, "I can see why…try to relax, close your eyes…," I suspected that he had some sort of ADHD, which was strange to think of a angel having it.

He gave me his own raised eyebrow look for a second or two, before he shrugged and closed his eyes, "Ok…what now?" Getting a little restless.

I took a exaggerated sniff of my enviroment, I could smell roses and the fresh spring, "Tell me, Samuel, what do you smell,"

Half a minute later, he did his own few sniffs, "…I can smell flowers…some grass, the fresh river stream, oh and some of that plant stuff that makes my mouth feel cold but not!" He sniffed around, his head turning, yet his eyes remained closed.

"What do you feel, anything around you?"

"…This hard rock that makes my butt hurt sitting around on,…the nice morning breeze on my face…Raphael and Uriel did a good job I guess…wish I could have helped,"

"And what you hear…?"

"Well the river, duh,…but I can hear some birds chirping in the background, there's a lamb behind us that is trying to be quiet as it eats grass…the little hum I can feel and hear the sun emitting,"

And so we continued like this, as I asked him things, be it of our surroundings, how he felt, as we simply waited.

Until something hooked onto his hook.

He froze, very nearly losing fishing rod over his surprise, he played a moment or two of tug of war, before in one fell swoop tug out the fish.

Salmon , the deep red and grey fish, that was pulled onshore.

Samuel stood there with a stunned face, before he gained a starry look, excitement and joy the likes of which would not be out of place on a child.

"I caught a fish…I CAUGHT A FISH!! LOOK ADAM! I did a fishing! Look at this beauty!" He bounced around at his first catch, while I looked over to him with amusement with a sage-like nod to him.

"Well done my student, you have learned well,"

"Couldn't have done it without ya teach!"

Ding! Taught someone, a Seraph at that, how to fish! You have earned a Silver Random Gacha Ticket!
