Chapter 8 - Spaceship

John looked at Jace as she frantically bounced up and down in worry. She would've distracted him with her jiggle physics if he were a weaker man but right now he was too distracted on trying to figure out what he should do.

'Is there anything I can do?'

He scrunched up his face and thought about it.

Honestly as a projection the most he could do was smile and wave. He couldn't create a new body as far as he knew.

"Any deaths?" He asked.

Jace shook her head.

"There have been a few skirmishes but they're too busy looking for something and I don't know what!" Jace shouted like she was about to cry.

John put his hand to his chin and thought about it for a minute. It wasn't hard for him to figure out what was going on.

"System, what grade is the Naiads Tear?"

{8th order.}

'8? 4 more and it would have the same energy signal as a universal artifact.'

John had to be quick in his thinking process.

"System, is it possible to take the tear back or keep moving its location?"

{No, however Naiads Tear is located deep underground. It will take years for anyone to find and dig it out. Especially if it's left deactivated. The energy signal is too subtle otherwise.}

That was both good news and bad news.

Good news because they won't be able to take our artifact within a day and bad news because it means we won't be able to move it to other moons.

After a bit of contemplation he told Jace about his thoughts and she kept going through the emotions. Ranging from pissed off to sad and pissed off again.

There wasn't much they could do so he moved onto the immediate situation at hand.

"Maria. Let's go meet our guest."

Maria inwardly cheered before smugly looking in Jace's direction.

Before the two could start arguing John moved in the direction where he felt the highest concentration of mana. What he didn't expect to see was a giant rust bucket of a ship.

Or to be more accurate, a space ship.

He wanted to say he was impressed but honestly he wasn't. This was the first space ship he had ever seen in his life and he was forced to look at a massive rusty… Pole? It looked like a giant staff filled with holes and rust.

There were a few gun barrels but he wondered if they even worked.

Just as he thought that an opening was made on the tip of the staff. It almost looks like a salt container, lid and all.

What came out was a single creature that stood on two legs and had two arms. They were tall and lanky and didn't seem to share a culture of wearing clothes.

Not that it was needed. She looked like a lizard man but much skinnier and with a flatter face. He was given the option to create a lizard man but ultimately thought better of it. They're ugly. Cool, but ugly.

That included the one that walked out tall and proud. Until she saw John that is.

She looked utterly confused.

At least he assumed that's how she felt when he noticed that she had dropped her vicious looking smile and lowered her presence. Quite literally.

She had bent over to the point where it looked like she was hunching over.

'I assume that's a position of submission?'

This was a good sign if so but John had to keep up with his facade. Especially if he wanted to go with the lore he made up for himself.

What lore you may ask?

Obviously that he's an extremely powerful cultivator from another galaxy who has laid claim to a sentient planet. Yes he decided he wanted to be honest with that part. He didn't want to share it with the universe but at the very least he knew enough to know that sentient planets were not just rare they were TERRIFYINGLY RARE.

Only 5 in his universe according to the system. The ones that were recorded somewhere anyway.

As for why he wanted to share it with her? He had plans and he had a hunch he knew why she was here.

Also, how did he know she was a she? God's eye is far too powerful.

Figuring out somebody's gender? Easy.

Anyway it was time for him to greet his guest.

He watched the lady Fourchan walk his way with a much smaller Fourchan behind her. He was surprised he hadn't seen her sooner. Especially since this one was in a space suit.

He was about to speak but then he realized he was in space.

'Well this is awkward.'

{The system has noticed the predicament the host is in and has granted two skills to the host.}

{DING: You have learned [Telepathy] and [Universal Language] to the host.}

'Perfect timing. Thank you.'

He smiled and sent out a simple message to his visitors.

[Welcome.]

The stronger one took a step back while the small one in the space suit just paused and kept silent before continuing to look forward.

The one who he assumed was the oracle walked up to him so he could see more of her face through the visor.

Does she even need a description?

Not to be speciest but they both look the same.

[Your name is Maria? I thought you would be prettier.]

I just laughed into the void of space while they watched on. It must've looked strange to them. Seeing a weird pink bipedal creature moving its shoulders up and down in a gesture they didn't recognize but could only guess.

He couldn't help it. The first time he had ever met an alien and she had quite the sense of humor.

[I like you… but no, I'm not Maria. As you already know, I am not Maria.]

As much as he wanted to keep his distance from these whackjobs he thought the best decision was to claim all 31 women were married to him, or better yet, they were 'married' to his planet. It explains their loyalty anyway.

The oracle just nodded in understanding.

[I was hoping to meet with her. I received a vision telling me that my people would be saved if I brought myself and my champion with me.]

She didn't look very happy to be talking to me. I could understand why. This lizard looking woman had a strong hatred for men according to [God's Eye]. Perhaps he could take advantage of that.

In a minute. First, introductions.

[Actually, you have already met Maria. You are stepping on her right now.]

This time both women took a step back and looked around in confusion, hoping he would clarify what he meant.

He just chuckled.

[In my people's culture we have a strong love for our planets and moons. Sometimes giving them human names like Luna or Maria.]

He said that in hopes of expressing his own stance on nature. If these people were going to fit into his future plans then he had to work around their needs and understanding of the universe.

Good thing too. Both women seemed to visibly relax for a second when he said that. They were happy that they were in the presence of a nature loving race. At least that's what they assumed he was. They had never actually seen a human before after all, and most nature loving races were usually compassionate and passive. Sometimes.

[I'm glad to hear that. We have bad blood when it comes to aggressive men.]

John just shook his head in understanding. They nodded their heads like they were on the same page but it was his next words that scared the shit out of them.

[Yes I know. Your husband Lord Grinder was a disturbed and broken individual. His perversions were a crime against the laws of man. I have always had a strong distaste for perversion and lust.] He spoke proudly at the last part.

John had to make them aware that he knew everything about them while also letting them know that he sympathized with them.

The oracle spoke up again, this time in clear understanding.

[You're just like me. An oracle.]

He just smirked.

[More than that. My clone has total awareness over Temper 5. But let's not get into that. You see, I have called you here because we both want something from each other. Do you see that planet behind you? That is mine. I found it a few million years ago using one of my clones.

I have a hobby of throwing them in random worm holes. It's fun. You should try it. Anyway, I had just enough energy to bond that planet to my soul. The issue is that it lacks the mana needed to help me track it and I think we can help each other with that.]

The two oracles looked shocked and terrified. Should they even be talking about this?! Who was this guy and how powerful was he?! Clones that he threw into wormholes as a hobby? Are you insane?! And he needs their help?!

How could they say no?!

The two looked into each other's eyes and shared a vicious grin that could rival his own 'wives'.

'I'm definitely not marrying these two. Pretend or otherwise.'
