Chapter 10 - CHAPTER 11 — Memories in the Shadows

Feriha's legs trembled as she stepped closer to the circle of lilies. Each step felt heavier than the last, as if the warehouse itself was pressing down on her. The survivor's small eyes were fixed on her, a fragile tether to a past she didn't fully remember. 😖

Selene watched silently, her silver coat glinting in the dim lamp light, a predator savoring the moment before the hunt.

"Do you remember, Feriha?" Selene asked softly, circling her. "The first night… the cold… the screams… the choice you made?" 😬

Feriha froze. Her mind throbbed with fragments: cold metal floors, muffled crying, hands reaching for hers. A blue ribbon twirling in the air.

"I… I don't—" she started, but her voice faltered.🔮

Selene's eyes narrowed. "Don't lie to me. You remember. You always have. You just buried it deep."

Ravihan stepped closer, his voice firm but low. "Feriha, ignore her. Focus on the survivor. That's the way out. That's the truth."

But Feriha couldn't. The memories were surfacing like jagged shards of glass, cutting through her mind. 🙆

A small hand reached for hers.

The survivor.

Feriha bent down instinctively, taking the child's hand in hers. The touch triggered something deep inside;a memory long locked away:

Two small children huddled together in the dark.

Blue ribbons tied in their hair. 💠

A whispered promise: "I won't leave you."

A shadowy figure watching from the corner, smiling cruelly.

Feriha gasped, staggering backward.

"The truth," Selene whispered, her voice venomous yet mesmerizing, "you weren't protecting her… you were running with her. And running from the one person who could have saved you both." 😏

Ravihan's eyes narrowed. "Stop, Selene. Enough of the games."

Selene tilted her head. "Ah, Detective Sen, you forget. I play games for the memories, not the guns." She knelt slightly, reaching for a single lily on the ground. She held it out to Feriha. "Take it. If you truly want the truth."

Feriha hesitated. Every instinct screamed to reject it, but something inside told her this was the key. She reached out, trembling, and touched the petals. 💗

Instantly, a flood of memories crashed over her.

Screams echoing in the night.

The warehouse. The blue ribbons.

Her sister's face, small and terrified, reaching for her. 🙍🏻

The hand she had let go, and the child disappearing into darkness.

A whisper: "Forgive me…"

Feriha stumbled, falling to her knees. Tears streamed down her face.

Ravihan knelt beside her, supporting her gently. "It's okay. You remembered. That's all that matters now."

Selene stepped back, clapping slowly. "Ah… finally. The little girl remembers. Too bad it's too late."

Feriha's eyes shot up. "Too late? What do you mean?" 🤔

Selene smiled cruelly. "Your sister… she's gone. And you know it."

Feriha's hands gripped the blue ribbon. A mix of rage, grief, and determination surged through her.

"No," she whispered through clenched teeth. "You're lying. You can't—"

Selene's laugh echoed through the warehouse. "Am I? Or will you prove it by stepping further into my trap?" 🎬

Ravihan stood, fists tight. "She's done listening to you. We're getting out of here. Now."

Feriha wiped her tears, rising slowly. The survivor clung to her, and for the first time, Feriha felt the weight of her resolve.

Selene's eyes glimmered in the dim light, knowing the real game had only just begun.✒
