Chapter 14 - Head On a Platter

Heaven's POV

"Where the fuck do you think you're going?"

I heard someone ask from below, and my blood turned cold and I started to sweat immediately.

I looked down and saw Desmond staring up at me, frowning with his arms crossed over his chest. I had been caught.

"Get your ass down here now" He said quietly.

But I didn't move. I didn't know whether to continue going up or to go down. I just stood still not being able to think.

"Heaven, don't you dare test my patience" Desmond warned. "Get down before I drag you down myself."

My arm began to shake uncontrollably. I wouldn't be able to continue my escape. My plan was ruined, and now I was going to be punished. I was sure of it.

I slowly began to climb down.

The moment my feet touched the ground, Desmond grabbed my arm. He grabbed it so hard that it began to ache.

I tried to free my arm from his grip but he was stronger than I expected. I had no other choice so bit him hard on his hand until his grip loosened. Then I ran, but I ran for only a few seconds before he caught me again. This time he grabbed me tightly and my arm began to bruise.

" Stupid girl," he hissed. "Do you know what you almost did? You just dug him grave."

he dragged me towards the mansion. I struggled to break free again, but he was way too strong.

By the time we reached the east wing, my arm ached so much and I was crying so much without even realizing it.

He opened the door of the Alpha's chambers and threw me inside so hard that I fell to the floor and scraped my knee.

"This bitch tried to escape," Demon said.

The other three brothers turned to look at me. Damian stood up from the chair he was sitting on, and I saw anger on his face. They were actually all angry. It looked like they could skin me alive right there.

"What!" Damian said

"Yeah, I found her climbing the garden walls. She was trying to run away." Desmond said

Damian walked towards me slowly and grabbed my chin, forcing me to look at him. "You tried to run on the night before the wedding?"

I moved my head from side to side trying to pull away from him, but he tightened his grip on my chin

"Do you have any idea what would have happened if you had successfully escaped before the wedding?" Damian asked

I shook my head weakly. I was already tired and regretting why I even thought about escaping the first place.

"You would have been branded a traitor just like your father," Damon said walking closer from where he stood. " we would have declared you an enemy of the pack."

"we would have to put a bounty on your head so that anyone who saw you would kill you on the spot and bring us your head," Desmond said coldly.

I kept wondering if they would truly have done it. Did they really hate me that much to not care if I was dead.

"Do you wish to die like your parents? Dylan asked.

I shook my head again as I cried heavily.

"Then why the hell were you trying to leave? Damon asked.

I wanted to answer, but I just, I couldn't talk. I wanted to tell them that I can't do this because it would destroy me, because I would have to watch them love someone else for the rest of my life.

" I know why. It's because she wants to ruin us. She doesn't want us to become alphas, Desmond said.

I turned to him as I desperately shook my head. It wasn't true.

I suddenly felt guilty. I felt like I was really selfish. If I had left, they wouldn't become Alphas, they would be denied their titles and it was the most precious thing to them. They worked their whole life for it. Even if they have always been cruel to me, hated me, and always made sure to make me suffer, it still wasn't the right thing to do.

But I really wanted to escape. I wanted to preserve all this madness. Now it wasn't possible unless I wanted my head deliver to them on a platter.

"This is what you're going to do, Damian said, as he released my chain roughly.

"You're not going to do anything stupid. Tomorrow, you're going to get married to us with a wide smile on your face and pretend like you want this marriage, or I swear to the moon goddess, I'll kill you."

I looked up at him, then at Damon, Desmond and Dylan and they truly meant it. My mates were willing to end my life like I didn't matter at all.

Tears rushed down my face. I tried to hold it in, but I just, I couldn't. It was just so painful.

"Do you understand what I just said?"Damian asked why I didn't respond, I just kept crying.

"Fucking nod if you understand." He yelled and I flinched. I nodded my head hurriedly.

"Good. Guards!" Damian called out and saw Lycan rushed in bowing.

"Take this bitch to her room and make sure to lock the doors, because if she escapes, you'll meet the same fate as hers."

The guards nodded, pulled me up, and dragged me back to my room. They threw me in and I heard a lock sound. They really locked me in like I was a prisoner.

I laid on my bed and began to sob. I was really going to marry them. But I don't want this marriage, I'm not going to survive what they'll do to me after.

I missed my parent now more than ever. If they were still alive they wouldn't have let this happen or this wouldn't be happening in the first place.

I had no choice but to marry them. Tomorrow was really the start of a nightmare.
