Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: Into The Abyss

The rain had stopped, leaving the city slick and glistening.

Neon lights reflected like broken glass on the wet streets.

Luna Nakamori didn't hesitate.

She walked directly into the abandoned subway tunnels beneath Kurogiri.

The smell of mold, rust, and something else—metallic, like blood—filled the air.

The darkness swallowed her whole.

But Luna never feared it.

She owned it.

---

The Underground Labyrinth

Every step echoed off the damp concrete walls.

Twisted metal and broken tiles littered the path.

Graffiti covered the walls, warnings from those who had dared enter before her.

Her flashlight flickered.

Not because of power—but because something wanted it to flicker.

Then she saw the first sign:

A trail of shadow crawling along the walls, reaching for her, stopping just short.

Luna tilted her head.

"They're testing me," she murmured.

The shadows moved faster as she advanced, forming grotesque shapes—some human, some… something else.

Some resembled Lili, Hart, Bren, and Steve.

But their eyes were empty, glowing faint red.

She didn't falter.

She walked straight through them.

The shadows recoiled.

She reached the end of the corridor.

The Masked Villain Appears

The underground chamber was enormous.

Machines hummed and hissed.

Cages lined the walls.

And there he was—the masked man.

Tall, thin, porcelain face without eyes.

Black coat brushing the ground.

Bren was suspended in the center, shadow crawling over him like a living thing.

The villain clapped slowly.

"Welcome, Luna. I wondered how long it would take for the girl who silenced hearts to return."

Luna's eyes never left Bren.

"I didn't come to play games," she said calmly.

"Give me him. Now."

The masked man tilted his head.

"Ah, but you must earn him."

From the shadows, the silhouettes of Lili, Hart, and Steve stepped forward.

Their faces twisted, not entirely human anymore.

Shadow veins pulsed across their skin, eyes glowing red.

"You see, Luna," the villain said, voice smooth as silk, "I revived them. But I changed them.

I gave them… purpose.

And you… must prove your strength to claim them."

---

The First Strike

Luna's hand went to her sidearm.

The villain's shadows surged forward.

But Luna was faster.

She moved like a phantom, ducking and weaving between twisted limbs.

Every step precise, every strike calculated.

She wasn't just an investigator.

She was a force honed by years of silence, calculation, and blood.

She reached Bren's cage, slicing the chains with a clean, silent cut.

Bren fell into her arms, weak but alive.

"Luna…" he whispered.

"I… I don't know how

Save your words "she said flat.

"Survive."

---

The Villain's Challenge

The masked man laughed softly.

"Impressive. But the real test begins now."

Shadows rose from the ground like tendrils of smoke.

They coiled around Luna and Bren.

The villain lifted his arms.

"Let's see if the Silent Moon can shine in total darkness."

Luna's eyes narrowed.

Her grip on her knife was firm.

For the first time in years, something stirred beneath her calm: anticipation.

The shadows lunged.

The underground tunnels screamed.

And the girl who had silenced hearts stepped fully into the abyss… ready to face a darkness even she had never known.
