Chapter 9 - Volume 9 (Chapter 9)

My Girlfriend Is Stronger Than the Demon Lord – Volume 9 (Chapter 9)

The morning after the northern tribes surrendered, Aria tried to establish a "normal routine." That meant breakfast in her chambers, reading scrolls, and walking through the castle gardens—if you could call lava fountains and fireproof hedges "gardens."

I followed, carrying her tea. "So… no more battles today?"

Aria raised an eyebrow. "You think it's that simple? Even demons gossip. I already have three rivalries brewing—one over throne decoration, one over ceremonial robes, and one over my personal schedule."

Before I could respond, a commotion erupted near the main gate. A group of demons rushed in, dragging a small, wriggling figure.

Aria squinted. "What is that…?"

The guards dropped the figure in front of her. It was a tiny, mischievous imp with a cheeky grin and a note pinned to its chest.

Aria read aloud:

"Dear New Demon Lord,

If you think you can rule without me, think again.

–Shadow Clan"

I whispered, "Sounds serious."

Aria blinked. "Or… dramatic. Very dramatic."

The imp jumped onto her throne and started juggling flaming rocks. "Message delivered! Pay me in gold or chaos!"

I groaned. "Why does everything involve juggling fire?!"

Aria shook her head, hiding a grin. "Eren… this is my life now. Chaos finds me whether I want it or not."

She stood, aura flaring just slightly, enough to make the imp drop the rocks in terror. "Shadow Clan," she said softly, "if you want a challenge, come see me. But remember… I don't lose."

The imp squealed and scurried off. The hallway echoed with laughter from demons who had witnessed the scene.

I stared at her. "You make ruling a kingdom… look easy."

Aria smiled, taking my hand. "Maybe it's not about making it easy. It's about making it ours, together."

I swallowed. "Together, huh?"

She leaned close, whispering, "Even if the entire demon realm goes mad, we stick together."

And somehow, I realized that life as the boyfriend of the Demon Lord wasn't just chaotic—it was exhilarating.

Because with Aria by my side, nothing… not demons, politics, or chaos… could ever truly defeat us.
