Chapter 22 - Volume 23 (Chapter 23)

My Girlfriend Is Stronger Than the Demon Lord – Volume 23 (Chapter 23)

After the defeat of the mysterious challenger, the demon realm finally felt… manageable. At least for a day.

Aria and I walked through the lava gardens, the morning sun reflecting off the molten streams. Even the usually frantic Gorvath seemed relaxed.

"Eren," she said, squeezing my hand, "I want today to be normal. No politics, no clans, no assassins. Just… us."

I blinked. "A normal day? In your world? Bold."

She laughed softly. "I know. But we can try, can't we?"

Our breakfast was simple: firefruit, lava-bread, and tea that bubbled with gentle warmth. For once, no emissaries barged in. No explosions, no hovering weapons. Just… peace.

Afterward, we wandered the castle gardens. Aria leaned on my shoulder, smiling. "You know, Eren… being the strongest isn't always fun. People expect you to solve everything, fight everyone, be perfect. But with you, I can just… be myself."

I grinned. "I think the world's still chaotic. You're just… insanely good at handling it."

She rolled her eyes, cheeks pink. "Maybe. But that doesn't mean I don't want moments like this."

Suddenly, a small imp zipped past, dropping a scroll at Aria's feet. She sighed, picking it up. "Eren… looks like peace never lasts long. Just a minor thing—some rebellious demon trying to start trouble."

I groaned. "Couldn't it wait until tomorrow? Or never?"

Aria smiled, her aura glowing faintly. "Don't worry. It's minor. I can handle it… quickly."

With a flick of her wrist, the rebellious demon was gently restrained, muttering apologies, and the threat vanished. Not a scratch, not a fight—just her usual effortless control.

I shook my head, half in awe, half in disbelief. "I swear… every day with you is insane."

She leaned close, whispering, "Eren… it's insane, but it's ours. And that's what matters."

Hand in hand, we walked further into the gardens. For a moment, the chaos of the demon realm faded, leaving only the two of us.

And for once, I felt that maybe, just maybe, even a life filled with demons, magic, and chaos could have its quiet, perfect moments.
