Alice's POV
Bryan pulled the car over to the side of the highway. His hands were shaking on the steering wheel.
"Antonio?" I said, my voice barely a whisper. "That can't be right."
"When did this happen?" Bryan asked the lawyer, his voice tight. He was trying to stay calm but I could see the anger in his jaw.
"The break-in occurred around eleven tonight," the lawyer said through the speaker. "Security footage shows a man in a black hoodie. We couldn't see his face clearly but the build matches Mr. Knight's height and frame."
"That doesn't prove anything," I said quickly. "Lots of people have that build."
"There's more," the lawyer continued. "The altered will transfers all of Mrs. Hale's inheritance to Antonio Knight. Three hundred million dollars worth of assets. And it's dated two days before Richard's death, making it appear as though Richard changed his mind about the beneficiary at the last minute."
