The corridor stretched endlessly in complete darkness, broken only by the occasional flicker of eerie green light.
"Louise, this place gives me the chills..." Caitlyn's voice quavered as fear gripped her. Then she caught sight of a glow ahead. Hope surged through her—surely this was their way out. "There! See that light? That's got to be the exit."
Before Louise could react, Caitlyn yanked her toward the brightness, and they burst through a doorway.
Dim spotlights cast shadows across the space, revealing rows of bodies arranged in perfect lines.
The air hung heavy with dread.
"We're in the morgue!" Louise spun toward the door, but it crashed shut behind them. The lock clicked ominously.
Caitlyn hammered against the metal barrier. "Someone help us! Get us out of here!"
While she pounded frantically, freezing fingers brushed her neck. Cold breath whispered against her ear. "Heh..."
Already terrified, Caitlyn completely unraveled. "It's a ghost!" she shrieked.
