Chapter 39 - Really, It's Not Okay...

"Gentlemen, matters here are settled. We may continue on our way."

Zhongli walked over slowly, addressing the three. Having said this, he placed his hands behind his back and began to walk leisurely towards the exit.

"Wait a moment, Mr. Zhongli!" Bonanus suddenly called out, her expression suggesting she had something else in mind.

Hearing this, Zhongli merely turned his head slightly, looking over with a questioning gaze that seemed to say: 'Is there something else?'

"I'd like to wander around on my own. After all, I don't like being surrounded by so many people. It makes me very uncomfortable."

As she said this, Bonanus rubbed her soft hair with a grin, also touching the horns on her head. She certainly didn't want to be treated as an exhibit or a spectacle.

"Oh? Are you certain?" Zhongli stroked his chin thoughtfully as he asked.

"I'm certain. And like Sister Indarias, I enjoy casually strolling through the streets."

Hearing this, Zhongli closed his eyes and gave a slight nod. If that was the case, so be it.

The female Yaksha before him was a guardian of Liyue Harbor, not some enemy. There was no need for him to stop her.

"In that case, you may go."

"If during your stroll you see any items you like, you may put them on the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor's or Childe's account."

"Thank you, Mr. Zhongli!"

Hearing this, Bonanus's eyes lit up. 'This way, seeking her own amusement would be even more fun!'

'Being led around by others like this was really quite boring.'

More importantly! She wouldn't have to spend her own money! What a blissful thing! No one could refuse a free ride—not even a Yaksha like Bonanus.

Bonanus looked at Bosacius, her eyes asking: 'Do you want to come along?'

Inviting her big brother along wasn't a bad idea. In her past life, she would sometimes go out shopping too, returning home each time with several large bags.

And now...

If there were too many things, having Bosacius by her side meant a ready-made pack mule. He was a strong man with four arms!

Wasn't that four times the happiness? It meant she could buy even more things, all without spending her own Mora.

Bosacius looked at his little sister's starry-eyed gaze and couldn't help but narrow his eyes. 'This girl really wore everything she was thinking right on her face.'

'Wanted to use him as a pack mule? Not a chance!'

"No need. I'll just follow Mr. Zhongli around. No need for such trouble." Bosacius planted his hands on his hips and shook his head slightly. 'Wasn't it better to stick with the Emperor?'

"Alright then..." Bonanus pouted slightly upon hearing this. 'Such a strong pack mule, and she couldn't trick him into coming. What a pity!'

"I will go with you." Xiao suddenly spoke, breaking the silence. He said this with his usual cool expression and coolest tone.

Bonanus looked at Xiao. While having a male god accompany her shopping would indeed be a pleasant thing, with Xiao's slender frame, how much could he carry?

Xiao: Disrespect to adepti...

Bonanus: I'm an adeptus too!

"No need, Alatus. I'd like to wander around by myself!"

Seeing Sister Bonanus actually reject him, Xiao closed his eyes with a hint of loss, taking a soft, deep breath.

"Very well... if you insist. If you encounter any danger, call out my name."

"I will come to you immediately." Xiao was still somewhat uneasy. After all, there had been certain restless elements causing trouble in Liyue lately.

Sister Bonanus had just awoken. She might still be unaccustomed to certain things, and her control over her abilities might also be rusty.

"Liyue's public order is so good. What do I have to fear?" Bonanus stepped forward and poked Xiao's expressionless face, gave a small smile, then whoosh—she was gone.

"She left so quickly..." Xiao muttered to himself, touching the spot she had poked. 'What was this slight feeling of loss?'

"You two, we should also proceed. Let's go." Zhongli said to the other two.

The two exchanged a glance, nodded slightly, and followed in Zhongli's footsteps, walking alongside the Millelith and the crowd, step by step leaving the area.

"Alatus, don't you know Sister Bonanus's strength? Why do you keep wearing that worried expression?" Bosacius slung an arm over Xiao's shoulder, revealing a mouthful of white teeth as he grinned.

"I hope so..."

As Xiao said this, he glanced lightly towards a rooftop, sighed once more, then followed the other two away.

A Rooftop Somewhere

Bonanus was squatting in a traditional 'Asian squat,' peering around curiously. She looked rather casual, completely lacking the demeanor a gentle girl should have.

She observed everything with curiosity, examining this Liyue that was so different from the game.

"Truly Liyue! It looks so vast and beautiful!"

Bonanus exclaimed in admiration. It was still daytime, and the place already looked this stunning. She couldn't even imagine the sight when night fell and every household lit their lamps!

"Huh? Who's that?"

While Bonanus was still looking around, her eyes accidentally caught sight of a figure on a rooftop not far away.

That silhouette looked familiar, and the hair color was particularly striking, especially the Cryo Vision at her waist.

Judging by the form, the person on the rooftop was likely a woman. Seeing those two... substantial attributes, Bonanus couldn't help but feel a pang of insecurity.

She looked down at her own modest... proportions and frowned slightly. 'Mine seems about on par with Director Hu Tao's... both rather flat plains...'

Though compared to Hu Tao, hers had a slight... undulation. 'Seems Hu Tao still firmly holds the title of the flattest plain!'

'Even some men are bigger than you!'

"No, no, I'm still young! It's normal that I haven't fully developed yet!" Bonanus comforted herself inwardly. 'Given a few more years, I'll grow!'

Xiao: My height is a good example...

Thinking this, Bonanus flashed over to Ganyu's side. At the moment, Ganyu's head was nodding slightly, as if she was... asleep.

"Wow... can actually fall asleep in such a precarious place..." Bonanus muttered in a tiny voice, careful not to wake Ganyu.

Seeing Ganyu sleeping so soundly, a mischievous idea sprouted in Bonanus's mind. A mischievous grin appeared.

She flashed away from the rooftop. When she returned, she held a box and a meat skewer in her hands.

The box contained a vegetarian dish. Bonanus had specifically gone back to Wanmin Restaurant to ask Chef Mao to prepare it. It contained no animal fat, yet smelled and tasted incredibly delicious.

"Hehehe, little sister Ganyu~" Bonanus carefully brought the meat skewer closer. Her smile was positively wicked, like some shady uncle!

The enticing aroma of meat wafted into Ganyu's nose. The chefs at Wanmin Restaurant were highly skilled, perfectly controlling the fragrance of the meat.

Even some vegetarians in Liyue would feel a desire for meat upon smelling it.

"Mmm... huh?" Ganyu, her eyes closed, frowned slightly, uttering a confused sound.

She opened her eyes, still a bit muddle-headed from just waking up.

"Did I fall asleep again..." Ganyu's voice sounded soft and carried a somewhat dazed quality, appearing utterly adorable.

Once Ganyu fully regained her senses and saw the incredibly tantalizing meat skewer right before her, she was so startled her face paled. She leaped back, putting over two meters of distance between them.

"Please... don't bring meat so close to me..."

Ganyu's aversion to meat wasn't only related to her half-adeptus heritage but also stemmed from her fear that eating meat might cause her to gain weight again.

Once, Ganyu had a rather round figure and had even... choked a god to death with it, which was quite the legendary feat.

After recovering from the initial shock, Ganyu looked seriously at the woman before her. She recognized her—this was the Yaksha Bonanus.

Not only was she a comrade-in-arms from battles long past, but she was also one of the individuals Ganyu had been tasked to find.

The two returned Yakshas were hailed by the people of Liyue as returning heroes. Some even went back to browse through old books, hoping to learn more about these two Yakshas.

"Eh? It's you?"

"Yes, it's me. Long time no see! Would you like some meat?" Bonanus said with a friendly smile, taking a small step forward.

"You... stay away from me!"
