Han Dishan's knees were already too sore from all the kneeling. He couldn't help but call Hua Jiren softly hoping he could at least show signs of having a heart.
" Honorable Hua Jiren, Hua Jiren." There was no response. He couldn't help shooting out countless muffled curses.
No matter how hard he tried to understand it, he couldn't. How did this guy be able to control his body reaction just like that? It was too annoying and disturbed him deeply.
He was brought by the sudden creak of the door. His gaze fell on Gisa who calmly sneaked in. She looked at him as if she could slice his body into countless meat and eat him raw.
Han Dishan only gave an awkward smile as his gaze remained stuck on her.
"What in the world are you doing here?" She asked in annoyed whispers. As a response Han Dishan glanced at his knees.
Gisa scoffed with a roll of her eyes.
" You wanted to.." she made a neck slicing gesture and then pointing at the supposedly sleeping man. Han Dishan nodded.
" Mind lending me a hand." He asked.
Gisa gave three muted claps before crouching down and whispered in his ears,
" Since you decided to brew a soup with no ingredients,.... Why don't you drink it?? Alone." She then stood up. Glanced at both the kneeling guy and the sleeping one. She dusted off her hands, and then stormed outside.
"Acting as if you had soaked your brain in boiling water ....pffs."
Of course Han Dishan heard it.And he was sure Gisa wanted him too. He didn't know why but his lips suddenly curled upwards.
Midnight found him still kneeling in the same place. His eyes were extremely heavy so he had decided to put his head on Hua Jiren's bed and closed his eyes, sleeping with great discomfort.Hua Jiren finally opened his eyes slowly and tilted his head and glanced at the ' sleeping ' Han Dishan. He slowly sat straight but his eyes remained fixed on Han Dishan.
He was first brought up at the age of twelve. While some people's features change deeply when they grow up, his didn't change that much. When they asked him where he was from, he just said he was from the streets, no parents or guardian. Hua Xing, Hua Jiren's father didn't seem to care about the kid's background. He had also found him in the street, desperate and injured. Hua Jiren was fifteen then. He was able to detect that Han Dishan was lying but decided not to give it much care. It wasn't like he was the one feeding him anyways. His mother with other suspicions in her mind didn't like Han Dishan . Especially when her folks said he looked quite like her husband. But how could her kind nature bear to see the child suffer? She prepared a nice room, outfits and was really kind to him. She didn't know when exactly, but as time passed she figured out she really liked the kid. He was extremely kind. She liked it although she found it annoying sometimes. He always had this kind smile. She liked it although she thought there was something deeper behind it.
Only after a few months, that beautiful hearted woman died. The reason being poisoning. And the primary suspect being Han Dishan. That's when everything changed drastically.
This face reminded Hua Jiren greatly of his mother's goodness and his own cruelty.
His mother had told him to take great care of him in her last days. And he surely did that.
He put Han Dishan exactly where he belonged. Alongside those lowly preys who are too weak to fight their predators. But then only recently had this prey started evolving some predator's behavior. His head throbbed. He held his head trying to suppress the pain. At the same moment, Han Dishan's eyes slowly opened and witnessed the scene. He couldn't help but feel the mixture of amazement and sweetness in his chest. His lips curled up slightly.
Hua Jiren feeling someone's eyes on him, he let go of his head and stared straight at the person whose expression had swiftly turned from a smiling one to a ' nothing interesting ' one.
" You seem to be in so much pain." As calm as he said this, no would have thought that he was mentally wishing that pain could be forever. Hua Jiren said nothing. Han Dishan mentally laughed.
' Ignoring me won't make you any less worser.'
" May I please go to sleep?" He asked in the most polite way. Seeing Hua Jiren kept looking at him silently, he subconsciously added ,
" My legs are really too sore."
Han Dishan suddenly saw a sinister smile on Hua Jiren's face. This smile on meant on thing. The man before him, Hua Jiren really enjoyed to see him suffer. Just like Han Dishan also did. One's pain, was truly other's relief.
Hua Jiren lazily lied on his bed again this time he didn't sleep. He was only staring Han Dishan as if examining a random specie. Han Dishan was extremely pissed off by this look but decided to remain calm.
" Does it hurt?" Hua Jiren asked in the kind of tone anyone else would think to be the most caring tone, but provoking to Han Dishan. Han Dishan only glared and saw that kind of smile he hated draw on Hua Jiren's lips once again.
Hua Jiren glanced at Han Dishan's knees and then gaze fell on his eyes and then his cheeks. He sat up and moved near to where Han Dishan was kneeling. He smirked before slapping Han Dishan's cheek like he had done to him when he was ' asleep'.
Han Dishan's face burned from rage. But he knew his state so didn't dare be too stupid. He felt already stupid enough to be kneeling there hopelessly. But a great man learns from mistakes.
He glared at the guy as he went back in his bed.
Naturally a rat couldn't hunt on a cat. That guy believed he was a cat while him, Han Dishan was just a rat.
Being a rat didn't necessary mean to fall into the cat's claws. Couldn't the rat be clever in multiple ways and lead to the cat's death?
Han Dishan sneered in his heart.' If you're a cat and I'm a rat, then I'm a supper rat.'
