Xenia's Pov :
The butler guides us to the dining room before leaving.
There are a few people sitting at the table.I can only see their head from my location.
The moment i step close to the table,a small figure rushes towards me like a ball of fire.
"Mommy!"
I quickly step forward and catch him before he falls."Eli?Why are you running?It's dangerous to run indoors like this."
I look down at his small face and he grins happily,rubbing against me like a kitten."But mommy is here to catch me."
Gosh,i missed this little face.
My heart melts as i hug him close."You and your sweet mouth."
"Hey little man,you didn't even greet me.Forgot me after seeing a beautiful lady huh?"Brother Adam teases but Eli just ignores him.
"Are you Xenia?"An older women ask's from the head seat.
I pick up Eli when he refuses to let go and stand up with him."Yes,good evening madam.Thank you having me over for dinner."
The old lady smiles kindly and the wrinkles adorn her face gracefully."I should be the one thanking you for taking care of my grandson.I can't even imagine what would have happened if you didn't take him in.A dinner is nowhere enough to express how grateful i am."
I shake my head feeling a little embarrassed."Actually I found out about it later madam.It was my sister who had brought him home."
She looks surprised as she looks at Eli."Is that so?Eli has been only talking about you since he came back.So i assumed that you were the one who saved him.How rude of me,i didn't even invite your sister.."She looks apologetic.
"Madam it's completely okay.My sister isn't a fan of meeting people so she wouldn't have come either."I assure her.
"Call me grandma child.Adam also calls me grandma.See how rude of me to keep you guys standing like this.Come sit."She say's gesturing towards the empty seats.
Brother Adam pull's a seat for me and i sit down with Eli on my lap.
"Eli,what kind of behaviour is this?She is a guest,get off of her lap and take your seat."A women sitting opposite to me says,glaring at me sourly.She is wearing a pink dress and has her blond hair up in a bun.
"Eli let Xenia sit comfortably.Come sit with grandma."Grandma Creed says but Eli straight out ignores them,not even glancing at them.
"Grandma,it's okay.I don't mind it.I like him a lot."I say holding him gently.
"Then sorry for the trouble dear.Let's start the dinner."Grandma Creed say's and the blond girl frown's."Granny,aren't brother's joining us?"
"There they are."Brother Adam say's and i hear footsteps approaching from behind.
The heavy footsteps stop's right behind me and i find myself getting nervous all of a sudden.
"This is my seat."A very familiar deep voice says,making me freeze in my seat.
No way
No freaking way
There's no way he is here.
There's no wa-"Daddy!"Eli says excitedly looking over my shoulder.
"Eli Creed.You are five years old.What are you doing sitting on someone's lap?"His voice booms again and my accelerates when his minty scent envelopes me.
He hovers above me and reaches to take Eli but when i look up,our eyes meet and everything stops.
Witson Creed
Of course i heard this name somewhere.
Eli's last name is also Creed.I called his dad Mr Creed.Of course i found it familiar.
They are from the same family.
Eli and Witson are related.
"You."He spits out with a disgusted look."What are you doing here?"
"What are you doing here?"I ask pretending to be surprised.
"This is my house."He says with a frown."What is she doing here?"
The question is obviously directed towards others.
"Witson,she came with me."Brother Adam say's pushing Witson's frozen hand away from me.
"Witson,what kind of behaviour is this?I called her over to thank her.She is my guest.Apologise to her."Grandma Creed say's and i force a smile despite having difficulty breathing."Grandma it's okay.Mr Creed and i had some misunderstanding during our first encounter.But it's sorted out now.He must have been surprised to see me here suddenly.No need to apologise."
"Fine,i will let him off since you said so.Now sit down you two."
Two?
Indeed when i look the beside Adam,i see Kayden taking a seat.
Wait,that means-the chair drags on the marble floor and a figure drops on the chair next to me.
Of course he is sitting beside me.
My nemesis is sitting right beside me.
I can already tell this dinner is going to be a torture.
