Chapter 119 - Chapter 119 ‘Lux Flicker’

The attack passed. Charles walked into a back street from prying eyes.

"Hello boss." Arthur said with a huge smile. Charles hit him on the head.

"There should have been more." Charles snarls.

"More what?" Arthur asked, playing clueless.

"More bombs." Charles said he was clearly unhappy at Arthur.

"But there was a bakery that I liked." Arthur defends.

"Does it look like I care?" Charles asked. Grabbing Arthur collar. Arthur's smile widened with a huge smile on his face.

"You're still the same boss." Arthur said with a manic smile.

"What do you mean?" Charles asked.

"You're the boss that is cold and callous and will do anything to further his own goal. I thought meeting Gabriel would have been making you soft but you have gotten crueler you just hide it better with a facade that I could not see through." Arthur was laughing like a mad man.

"Thank you." Charles said as he started to laugh as well. Were both of them insane?

"Your welcome boss I am your right hand but you know what's cool?" Arthur asked. Arthur pushed a detonator as the city block exploded.

"What was that for?" I asked.

"To kill the House of Evolution underground transportation systems." Arthur spoke. His eyes gleamed with bloodlust.

"You did well." Charles said. Charles starts to walk off. He planned this attack framing the House of Evolution.

"This was your plan?" I asked him.

"Of course. To weaken the House of Evolution by making them once again the center of attention." Charles said his tone was calm.

"What about all those lives that were lost?" I asked him. He let out a small scoff.

"Necessary to defeat the House of Evolution. I draw no joy for their death. But I will not mourn them, they were a cost to further my goal." Charles explains to me. He was being quite cold.

"One day you have to choose your family or defeat your enemy." I said he raised an eyebrow not knowing what I meant. He stopped in place. Looking up to the sky.

"When this day I will have to choose, then I will choose both." Charles said as he once again continued walking down the destroyed street.

"What if you can't?" I questioned.

"Then I will die." Charles said in a somber tone.

"My family is everything. If I had to slaughter a thousand people to see one of them smile then you better pick out who you are choosing." Charles spoke still in that melancholy tone.

"Well on other news. The house of Evolution attack was caused by Chaos bombs that seemed to have two sets. Are these hunters getting rusty since Hellsing?" One of the news reporters said on a massive glowing screen. A sneer left Charles' mouth.

"Hellsing this. Hellsing that. It's like all they say." Charles mutters under his breath.

"Wow." I said in a soft breath.

"Funny seeing you here brother." A voice came from behind. As we quickly turned around. It was Lux! That was a shock.

"What are you doing here?" Charles asked Lux, having a smile on his face.

"Well you know… I am just placing something into play for a little game." Lux said, having a long pause between his words.

"What little game?" Charles asked.

"It's between me and a sibling." Lux spoke with a soft smile.

"Which one?" Charles questioned. A small smile on Lux's face.

"He is one of my favorites." Lux mentioned.

"Let's have dinner." Lux changed the topic with a smile. Slinging an arm over his shoulder knocking me off. I had to fly above the shoulder now. Lux had an arrogant smile. Showing off his fangs.

"Sure why not." Charles said.

"Okay let me take you." Lux spoke, moving his arm off my shoulder as I landed on it again.

"Well there is something I wish to tell you about something special." Lux once again smiled. As we enter a fancy dinner. Having gold around all the corners. It had a red carpet.

"What can we get you two?" A waiter asked with a soft smile.

"I can have the V-meat steak." Lux spoke.

"What is the code word?" She questioned looking at Lux. Lux had a massive fanged smile.

"Crimson moon of Hell." Lux said. With a nod the waiter looked at Charles.

"What will you be having?" The waiter asked.

"I will have some ribs please and thank you." Charles said. The waiter started to walk back. The doors were heavy steel.

"Well what is something that you wanted to tell me?" Charles asked.

"Well the House of Evolution has some camps." Lux said with a smile.

"Really?" Charles asked.

"Goodbye brother." Lux said.

"What do you mean?" Charles asked.

"It's something that you will know." Lux spoke.

"Okay then." Charles spoke. As the night of dinners. Came to an end.
