"Hey boss... Did you hear what I said?" Lucian mumbled, not sure whether he should talk or not.
Working with the CEO for few days had already taught him how Rowan Donovan could be and even though Lucian enjoyed teasing him, he definitely didn't want to upset the CEO further.
If asked why, he wouldn't have a reason.
"Hold the phone. And if anybody calls again, let them know I'm busy and can't answer the phone." Rowan said sharply, his tone leaving no room for argument.
"Why?" Lucian was really curious and wanted to ask but he bit his tongue and swallow the curiosity.
The glare on Rowan's face was sharp enough to do that to him. Nevertheless, Lucian's brows furrowed slightly as he tucked the phone into his pocket.
"What is wrong? Why would Rowan be that cranky toward his supposed mother?"
As Lucian wondered inwardly, he was peeking at Rowan through the rearview mirror, studying the CEO's face carefully.
