Chapter 14: The Battle of the Four Shadows and Vanessa's Sword
The palace of the "eternal shadows" trembled. The sky of Hell, previously only black, had now become a mixture of white and red due to the energy of Anos and Akuto. Volt and Sai sat on their thrones, waiting for the storm that was about to begin.
Lucifer's army attack
Suddenly, the ground around the palace shook. Lucifer and Julius appeared with an army of millions of ancient monsters. Lucifer seemed much stronger this time, as he had given some of his soul to Julius so he could withstand Volt's energy.
Lucifer shouted, "Volt! Sai! Today is the day your palace will be your graveyard! Your sons are still children and cannot stand the real hell!"
The awakening of the princes
Anos and Akuto stepped forward. Their black wings were so large that they covered the whole hall.
Anos: "Lucifer... you were talking about the farmer's son, but now look into the eyes of the Prince of Hell!"
Anos attacked Julius with the power of Bundles. Each Anos stroke was like a starburst. With Sakuna's power, Akutosh used the shadows as steel chains to tear Lucifer's army to pieces.
"Volt, it seems our boys don't need us!" Sai laughed.
"It's still early to laugh, Cy. Look at Lucifer," Volt said coldly.
Lucifer's transformation and the danger
Lucifer changed his shape to a giant size and made a sword made of the pain of souls. When he brandished his sword, Anos and Akuto were thrown back. Lucifer wanted to end Anos, but at that instant, Volt rose on his throne.
All hell was silent. Volt just took a step, but that move made Lucifer's body crack.
Volt: "Lucifer... I had learned to be human, but you forced me to kill that part. Now get ready to see the devils that even Hell feared."
Alyssa and the white sword interfere
Just as Volt was about to become the ruthless beast of old, a gate of light opened in the middle of the palace. Alyssa appeared, in her right hand the glowing white sword she had found in the basement.
"Dad! Stop! My mother said if I pick up this sword, you'll know it's time to come back, not to destroy!"
When Volt looked at his sword, his white eyes turned normal for a second. That sword wasn't just a weapon, it was a piece of Vanessa's soul that could control Volt's dark power.
When Lucifer and Julius saw the light, they retreated in fear. Julius said, "That sword… is that the 'Goddess Mercy' sword? How's it with Vanessa?"
The difficult decision
Volt looked at Alyssa and then at his sons lying on the ground in blood. He's now between two options: either become the monster king again and kill Lucifer, or listen to Alyssa and cleanse all hell with that white sword.
