Chapter 28 - Chapter 28: Dominic Thorne

A parade of red Maserati Gran Turismos rolled into view, but Kenneth Yates's car was undeniably the main attraction.

Summer followed Kenneth into the event hall. A middle-aged man stood in the center of the room. Though he was middle-aged, his features were sharp and his posture ramrod straight, giving him a youthful air.

"Thorne, wishing you great fortune and a long life," Kenneth said with a smile.

"Haha, Kenneth, you're here! Thank you. Dominic is over there. Go give him a hand. You know how he is—not great at schmoozing."

"Right. I'll head over then." Kenneth took Summer by the hand and they walked away.

"Kenneth, my dad's over there. I'm going to go say hi," Summer whispered in his ear.

"Go ahead." In truth, Summer didn't want to greet them, but it would have been rude not to.

"Dad. Auntie."
