Before you begin this story, there are a few things that need to be made very clear.
This is not a power-fantasy novel. The protagonist has no powers, is not strong, doesn't know how to fight, and there is no system to guide him or save him when things go wrong.
The pacing will not be fast at the beginning. Time is taken to establish the world, the danger, and the consequences. However, once things truly start moving, the story will gradually pick up speed, and the protagonist's growth will become more noticeable—always step by step and grounded.
The protagonist will improve, but slowly, through mistakes, fear, loss, bad decisions, and learning the hard way. There are no miracle shortcuts or sudden power jumps. Every bit of progress comes at a cost.
There will be harem elements, but do not expect the female characters to lose their emotions or fall in love in the first chapter. Not all of them will trust him. Some will use him. Others will manipulate him. Relationships will develop over time, through tension, conflict, and consequences.
If you are looking for:
A protagonist who kills everyone from the start
Girls joining the harem instantly
Broken powers, systems, quests, or rewards
Constant action with no emotional weight
Then this story is not for you.
And that's fine.
But if you choose to continue reading, do so knowing exactly what kind of story this is. I do not want comments asking for the protagonist to become overpowered immediately, for the pace to be rushed, or for the rules to change halfway through. Negative reviews about things clearly stated here will be ignored.
This is a story about survival, burden, human growth, and difficult choices.
If that interests you, welcome. If not, it's better not to start.
