Chapter 75 - Broken Hearts and Full Pockets

Natalia entered the Phoenix Pavilion, followed by her maid. "Where is Dorothy?" Natalia asked a maid standing at the door, her arms crossed at her chest. The maid rushed, returning a moment later with Dorothy behind her.

"What are you doing here, miss?" Dorothy asked, her eyes widening.

"If you had done your job well, we wouldn't have been in this situation in the first place," Natalia said angrily. "Open the door right now," she demanded.

"No, miss, the empress is very violent right now; you cannot enter," Dorothy warned.

"Open the damned door right now," Natalia said, her eyes glazed with fury.

"Okay," Dorothy said, opening the door, and Natalia walked in. She gasped at the sight in front of her.

Her sister had always been soft, noble, and well put together. She was raised by her father to marry up, so she was proper. Even in her childhood, she had the best of matrons to teach her everything, but the person in front of her was far from the sister she knew.
