I let out a shrilling scream, the sound becoming muffled when a hand covered my mouth from behind me.
"Keep screaming and I'd just assume you're super excited to see me," the person whispered.
I froze. I Knew that voice from somewhere.
"Relax," the person said, laughing. They came into view. "That's how we welcome the newbies. And you my love, gave one hell of a scream. Let's hope there are no sisters at the chapel. If not, they'll hear for sure."
A girl with short blonde hair and piercing blue eyes materialized from behind me. She was all smiles and perfect teeth.
Charlotte laughed. "Are we late?"
The girl laughed again. "You're the last ones to arrive. I almost gave up and joined the others." She turned and led the way into the tunnel.
"She knew I was coming?" I asked Charlotte who was still trying to stifle her laugh.
