Chapter 1 - Vision.

Under the radiant moonlight spilling through the dark empty valley, a small boy with dark jet-black hair, ragged clothes and covered in bruises, sat motionless in a corner.

As it was around time, there were endless spring showers indicating a shift in the season. Right now, it was that time, and so the rain endlessly pounded the area, leaving the fresh smell of dirt.

The boy, however, was least bothered by the atmosphere. He was curled up in a small dark alley way, sitting on the floor.

This boy was none other than little Wei, an orphan who seemed to roam around the village half-beaten, limping, starving, or merely just strolling. Left alone sometime around birth, he grew up being fed by villagers that simply pity him.

Unlike other children his age, who would playfully run around creating chaos and cry when their ideas were denied, Wei didn't have all that. He didn't know what it ment to feel emotions, whether he was pitied or beaten up, he wouldn't react, let alone twitch.

Some would call him crazy, others would feel bad for him, no one knew what was going around in the kids' head.

------------------

Wei silently stared through the heavy rain. Every night he would repeat the same process, drifting soundlessly into sleep and waking up to a distinct chatter. His vision slowly blurred as he was beginning to close his eyes.

He drifted into an unconsciousness where he later saw a blurred vision of a person's head, in an angle which seemed as if he was being carried. A faint noise was heard; it was the sound of rain, and the sound of heavy breathing that seemed to be coming from the mysterious person.

The image started to clear, the person that was holding him seemed to be a lady, her features were defined, and she had clear skin which seemed soft as snow, looking as she was around her late 20's or early 30's. In the blink of an eye, Wei noticed her face had some deep, crimson-colored smudges.

The woman clung onto Wei tightly, almost as she never wanted to let go.

Suddenly, the woman came to a halt, she slowly put Wei down on which seemed like a sort of rock. Under the rain it was hard to tell but, it seemed as if she was crying, she said under her breath, "I'm sorry, please...get stronger". She then gave a light hug and ran off into the cold rain.

A pain shot through Wei's head like a bullet; As he shifted into a trance and woke up shivering, though his face remained expressionless, his eyes widened for a moment, later returning to normal while he calmed down.

For the past few days, this dream has been taunting Wei. Almost like it's some kind of sign...Wei thought deeply, "Was that woman my mother?" he wondered silently.

It was still raining hard, the sound that was heard as crystals falling came from all directions. The water vapor in the distance made the environment look hazy.

A bright red figure emerged from the mist, steady and slowly walked toward Wei, judging by the appearance, it seemed like a young man, he was holding a black oil paper umbrella with hints of red tassels, matching his umbrella, he was wearing black colored inner robes with matching black pants, along with a red outer robe and a black belt decorated with tasseled beads.

His steps were light yet full of confidence; not a single sound was heard as he walked, and a faint yet noticeable aura surrounded him and was getting rather strong as he was walking toward Wei.

The man noticed Wei in the shadows and approached him, his long black hair was half up being tied in the back with a black ribbon which seemed unnoticeable in his hair, his eyes were a sharp shade of grey and seemed to sparkle just a bit under the moonlight, Wei thought he was quite handsome compared to other men he'd seen around the village.
