Chapter 21 - Premeditated

"Mr. Jiang." The two respectfully greeted Jiang Yan upon seeing him.

Han Qi's gaze glowed as he looked at Jiang Yan. First, there was the black Buddha, and now this purple monster. He felt Jiang Yan was becoming more and more mysterious.

Li Yong, however, didn't think too much about it. He assumed the monster in front of them was Jiang Yan's ability.

"Sit on the sofa." Jiang Yan gestured for them to sit.

He patted Tyrant's arm. "Go to the back, don't scare my people."

"Roar!" Tyrant let out a low growl and turned to walk to the back.

After Tyrant left, Han Qi and Li Yong finally breathed a sigh of relief. A height of 3.5 meters, coupled with that muscular physique, gave them an immense sense of oppression just by standing there.

It felt like one punch could blow them both up.

The three quickly sat on the brown sofa in the living room. Jiang Yan casually turned on the living room TV.

Local news was playing on it.

"This station reports that a fire in the northern suburbs of Liuyang City caused thirty deaths. The Inspectorate Department is currently investigating the cause of the fire!" A young anchor read this with a serious tone.

Everyone present listened with somewhat strange expressions, but none of them spoke.

"Alright, I called you here today because we need to rescue someone in two days." Jiang Yan ignored the news, leaning back on the sofa and speaking to the two.

"Rescue whom?" Li Yong asked, a bit curious.

Jiang Yan took out his phone and placed it on the table. The two quickly looked at it.

[Mad Scientist Dong Guangjie is about to face the judgment of the law!]

Han Qi only glanced at it, and remembering Jiang Yan's past request for them to find a biologist, he immediately understood his meaning.

"Dong Guangjie's crimes will definitely be punishable by death. If we go to snatch him, we might face a dozen armed soldiers, but with Mr. Jiang's abilities, these soldiers won't be a problem."

Jiang Yan looked at Han Qi with some surprise. "I didn't expect you to know about these things."

Han Qi smiled. "I was a soldier for a few years, so I'm familiar with them."

Li Yong looked at Dong Guangjie on the screen. Although he didn't know why Jiang Yan wanted to save him, he still asked, "When do we leave?"

Jiang Yan's lips curled slightly as he looked at the two of them. "We'll leave this afternoon; it should be enough time. Han Qi, tell An Conghao to prepare two cars with fake license plates and order ten thousand buddha crystals."

Mingzhou is right next to their state, so driving there this afternoon is perfectly feasible.

"Yes!" Han Qi nodded.

Jiang Yan took out three buddha crystals from his pocket and handed them to Li Yong. "These can enhance your strength, physique, and speed for fifteen minutes. Later, have Han Qi take you to the laboratory to use these and get used to them."

As long as buddha crystals are not activated and converted into Buddha Slaves, they are excellent enhancement items.

"Okay." Li Yong took the buddha crystals with a curious expression.

"You two go to the lab first." Jiang Yan dismissed them.

"Yes, Mr. Jiang!" The two respectfully saluted Jiang Yan and walked out of the villa.

After the two left, Jiang Yan took out his phone and began to check the working hours of the Haizhou HQ City Law Court.

Jiang Yan's eyes flickered as he looked at the information: 'It was my mistake to let you live this long.'

Lai Lirong, the judge who originally presided over Song Qing's case. Haizhou is right next to Mingzhou.

After snatching Dong Guangjie, Jiang Yan planned to send Ghost Buddha to that side to kill Lai Lirong, and Li Pubin.

On his phone, Jiang Yan found An Conghao's contact information and sent a message: "Go to Haizhou HQ City and bring back Wen Zhilan and Jiang Ya's ashes."

"Understood!" An Conghao quickly replied with a message.

In a villa in the city, An Conghao glanced at Jiang Yan's message and immediately began contacting his subordinates to handle it. He knew these two were Jiang Yan's mother and sister.

Ashes that go unclaimed for three days in a hospital are placed in a public cemetery.

'Boss Jiang's identity is special, so we can't claim them through official channels. It seems I'll have to find someone to steal them.' An Conghao pondered.

His thoughts were indeed correct. Although Jiang Yan's mother and sister's ashes were placed in the public cemetery, Tang Ling had arranged for people to keep an eye on them, just waiting for Jiang Yan to return.

In the afternoon, two different models of cars drove from the manor towards Mingzhou.

Jiang Yan sat in the first car, with Han Qi driving in front, and Li Yong driving the vehicle behind. In the forest behind the vehicles, a massive purple figure flashed by, closely following the cars... Time came to two days later, Mingzhou, Wenqin City.

At the highest Law Court in the city center, numerous reporters stood at the entrance, waiting.

They were all waiting for today's protagonist, Dong Guangjie, the most famous mad scientist in Nanwu Country in recent years.

Beep beep beep!

Just then, several honks sounded from afar, and three black escort vehicles drove towards the entrance. The surrounding reporters quickly turned their cameras towards them.

"They're here! As long as we can interview Dong Guangjie, we'll have another trending topic for the week." A middle-aged reporter in a suit looked excitedly at the opening car door.

The car door opened, and over a dozen soldiers in black military uniforms, carrying rifles, disembarked and stood guard around the area.

The door of the middle escort vehicle opened, and a middle-aged Inspector and a young man in a suit with stubble on his chin stepped out.

Behind him, Dong Guangjie, wearing a red suit, with messy hair and gaunt cheeks, stepped out of the car.

His feet were shackled, and two soldiers immediately grabbed his shoulders and walked him inside.

The surrounding reporters immediately swarmed him, thrusting their cameras and microphones directly into Dong Guangjie's face and asking loudly.

"Mr. Dong, what was the purpose of your experiment!"

"Mr. Dong, we heard you previously stated that human potential has not been fully developed. Was this human experimentation for that purpose!"

"Do you feel any guilt towards the deceived volunteers? We heard many of them were treated as outcasts by others due to sequelae!"

"Mr. Dong...!"

Facing the numerous questions from reporters, Dong Guangjie stopped, looked at them, and a smile crept up his lips: "Purpose? Of course, there was no purpose. Everything I did was merely out of interest."

Click!

A flash went off, capturing the madman's expression at that moment.

"It's time to go." The Inspector standing in front spoke in a serious tone, and the soldiers behind him directly grabbed his arms and walked him inside.

Leaving the reporters at the entrance frantically snapping photos of him.

In a teahouse opposite the Law Court, Li Yong quietly watched the opposite side while drinking tea.

Dong Guangjie was escorted into the judgment hall, where many people were already seated. A camera in the center was pointed at Dong Guangjie, live-streaming the entire trial.

At the very top, an elderly judge in a black robe tapped his gavel.

He looked at Dong Guangjie below and announced, "The trial for Dong Guangjie's contempt of Nanwu Country's laws and his human gene-level experiments is now open."

As his words fell, a Law Court official on the left stood up, holding a document, and began to read.

"Dong Guangjie has arbitrarily conducted severely illegal experiments in Nanwu Country...."

As the staff member spoke, Dong Guangjie below remained calm, quietly looking at the blue lion-head national flag above.

A moment later, the staff member finished a long speech and looked at the judge: "According to Nanwu Country's law, we recommend that Dong Guangjie be sentenced to decapitation!"

The judge looked at Dong Guangjie: "Do you have any objections?"

Upon hearing this, Dong Guangjie showed no fear on his face, looking at the judge and scoffing, "If I had objections, would you let me go?"

Thump thump!

The judge tapped the gavel again, stating in a serious tone, "Now, the verdict for Dong Guangjie's illegal human experimentation case is pronounced: the criminal Dong Guangjie is sentenced to decapitation, to be immediately escorted to the Western Suburbs Execution Ground for execution!"

As his words fell, two soldiers immediately came up and led Dong Guangjie out.
