Ethan adapted pretty well in a week, he survived on his home made meals (noodles) and Dohyun's home made food which tasted quite good and was healthy in addition. And so a week had passed and now it was a weekend which was the perfect time for him to execute his plan.
This weekend was dedicated to finding his father's previous secretary, Mr Baek. From what he could remeber Mr Baek was a very diligent man who only listened to his father, he remembered him as a loyal subordinate who obeyed blindly and never asked any unnecessary questions, not only was he loyal but a master strategist at that. When his father planned to open an entertainment company, he met Mr Baek who at that time was just a rookie working under an unfair company that barely noticed him at all and so his father took notice of his brilliance and took him under his wing. His father being a foreigner to this country didn't know much about the customs of business here and it had been Mr Baek who helped him overcome those hurdles, building the Unshakable Broise entertainment together.
But there was one thing that troubled him, when his parents were involved in an accident Mr Baek was the first to react and send for help once the barely alive driver called him, ethan had found him at the hospital looking lifeless and detached and when he got the news that they had passed away Mr Baek simply arranged for the funeral and handled everything and swiftly left disappearing without a trace leaving him to figure things out alone, he had wondered why he had done that, he knew that Mr Baek wasn't so fond of him and only cared about their father, he was always cold to the young ethan and never showed any emotions. So the only logical reason ethan had come to was that once his father was gone he had no reason to stay with the broise family and just left for greener pastier seeing as he didn't stay in the company after the whole tragedy happened.
But now he couldn't think of anyone else to turn to, he needed a competent adult to help him with his plan, and Mr Baek was the only one he thought of even though the man had abandoned him, just thinking about how he had to bear it all alone made his heart ache. If only he had someone he could trust at that time maybe he wouldn't have made the stupid decision of turning to the kim family for help and eventually going through an unspeakable hell which led him to an unimaginable death. He winced as he recalled his dream and how he met his end.
He stilled himself and dressed up, this wasn't the time to be sulking and thinking of what if's, but the time for action. Today he would visit the company and try to snoop around and investigate the where abouts of Mr Baek, though he doubted that he would find anything given how the man rarely talked to anyone else unless it involved business. He choose this weekend to carry out his plans because Mr kim wasn't going to be at the company for a while. He would make his visit as quite as possible, even though he highly doubted that anyone knew him because his appearance had changed so much over the years and the last time he had set foot at the company was when he was younger before his parents died.
Before he left the kims house, he had stolen the driver's pass card to make sure he would enter without being questioned. His plan was solid proof! all he had to do was infiltrate the company and sneak into those higher up's offices( because they were long term workers of the company and where there when Mr Baek had worked there) and ask some questions because they might have some information about his whereabouts. He wasn't sure if they would listen to the ramblings of a 16 year old, he didn't even know how to introduce himself or what to say to keep them quiet but that really didn't matter because even if Mr kim called him because he found our his visit to the company, all he had to do was ignore him.
Anyways that was his plan, there was an empathise on the 'was' because the situation that he was faced with right now was totally unplanned, besides him was a little girl who looked about 5 hugging his legs sobbing and refusing to let go. He sighed, he didn't expect this to happen, not now and definitely not here, he didn't want to attract attention fron people so he picked the girl up and held her in his arms and smiled at her. The little girl blushed seeing his smile and her tears immediately stopped and her face was beat red, making her lower her head to hide her face from him.
''Hey little one, are you okay?" He asked in a soft voice but the little girl didnt respond. He sighed once more.
'How'd this happen?'

Rewind to ten minutes ago
He had successfully entered the building and took the elevator to the 4th floor where most high ranking offices were, he found it weird because the security guards here were too lenient, what if he were a thief here to steal and they just allowed him to enter. He took the elevator and arrived on the 4th floor and went directly to the Media Head of department's office. He waited outside the office for some time when he suddenly heard sobbing coming from the office, he raised his brows in confusion 'was there a child inside?' He walked over and saw that the door handle was moving up and down indicating that someone was trying their best to open it. He didn't know whether he should help or not, what if the child did something bad and was put in time out? But again no parent would do that at a workplace, and what if the parent was in the office and he just opens the door and gets acused of being a thief? But again when he was a child he had a fear of being trapped in a room, he hated that feeling and wouldn't want others to experience that so je just went ahead and opened the door. When opened the door a cute little girl fell forward clearly surprised by the unexpected opening of the door, she looked up and her eyes filled with tears as she hugged his legs and began sobbing hard.
He was taken aback by that unexpected action from the little girl.
'Wha-'
How was he supposed to stop a wailing child?!
