Chapter 6 - The Calling

Trzt! Trzt! Trzt! Trzt! Trzt! TrzT!

'Master.... it hasn't been so long but....'

'Relia! Run!'

The nurse who we now see looking to be in her 20s, standing at a staggering height of 159cm, with gentle camel skin, chestnut brown eyes that glimmered slightly under the afternoon light, her physique an attractive curvy texture, her hair was a dark brown conrow style and her lips were brown and pink combination of heart shaped lips.

She wore a fairly tight navy-blue nursing uniform(dress) that covered up to her knee level. Despite her captivating features were still visible for the eye to spot.

But right now, she looked at Alex with heavy concern as flashbacks of a sudden event flickered in her mind.

In them a man in a violet cloak like jacket, white trouser, peach skin, height about 190cm, short frisky ruby hair and lunar purple eyes that glimmered effortlessly in what seemed look like a battle dead area.

He cautioned for her to get to safety, but she refused nevertheless and he sighed and gestured at her to come and join him with a faint smile.

But only after two steps... did she find herself falling into an abyss. One that felt like it sucked the entirety of her being as fell downwards.

In her final moments, everything suddenly began to stretch violently as stretched beams of light also began to lapse and consume her.

When she woke up in a small room on a red fluffy coach. She looked at her hands and then around her room as she then calmly laid down as she closed her eyes and tried to sleep once more. But unfortunately....

'Sob!'

A tear fell from her right eye that was still closed shut.

'Sob!'

And then another from her left.

'Sob, aha, sob!'

As she then flipped her body on her left side, curled up her body and let her once calm and faithful look break into a silent weeping and sorrowful distress.

The flashback then ended as her eyelids fluttered rapidly and a tear fell from her left eye that she quickly wiped away as she then smiled again and gazed upon Alex.

Trzt! Trzt! Trzt!

Whose body floated about six feet into the air and body twitched as if it were a virtual simulation undergoing a glitch.

'It's okay master Cronix...'

She thought as one last image flashed in her mind.

'Come Relia, Nick, York... it's about time... that we went on our own adventure.' Cronix was seen stretching out his hand to her and two who stood beside her.'

"Good luck Alex...", she said as she gently stroked her hand on his forehead once more before finishing, "Omek... hm hm, he's not the type to hear a lot from someone."

The scene then shifts to a darkness. And ordinary looking one yet it could have more to it than meets the eye.

And indeed, it did.

"HAAAAH!"

A loud gasp echoes through this darkness as we then get to see a confused boy awake as he gets up on his feet in a shock. And looks around frantically as he breathes deeply to catch his breath.

'Uh... what was that?' He thinks this as he squints his eyes and blurry images that look familiar flash in his mind. People his never seen before, he saw. Voices he never heard before, he heard. Places he never stepped foot in; he stood in them. And environments that seemed almost too mystical to be real, surrounded him almost endlessly.

These images however, brought a great pain to the young lad who soon groaned in pain as the images refused to stop flashing and flickering about in his mind.

"AHHHHH, Stop."

He groaned as he clutched his hands on his head.

"Stop!" He commanded again as he then opened his eyes thinking that simply closing them was the cause of all this, but...

"AHHHHHH!"

Oh, me oh my, was he wrong. In fact when opened his eyes....

Drip!

A crimson tear fell.

"Uhhhh! Again?!"

He screamed in agony as he then closed his eyes which only brought back the flashing images.

He then opened once again.

Drip!

"AHHH!"

And closed them again.

Ba-dum!

"MHHPHHH!"

And opened them again.

Drip! Drip! Drip!

And opened them!

Ba-dum!

"AHHHH!"

And opened them again.

Drip! Drip! Drip! Drip!

And closed and opened and closed and opened and closed and opened and closed and opened and closed and opened until....

"Haaaah...!"

POUT!

He fell to the ground and left his eyelids somewhere in between fully shutting and fighting to stay open.

"Ha-a-a-a-h, he-e-e-h, ha-a-a-ah, he-e-e-eh, hehhh, hahhh!" His breath was so dry and desperate, so much so that every breath he drew tore into his throat like as if he swallowed sandpaper.

He then tried closing his mouth so as to swallow some saliva in hopes of lubricating his insufferable throat, but as he moved his lips...

CHT!

A faint snap echoed in his ears and in the next second we see a crimson drop swelled on left lower lip and then trickled down the side of his left lower chin.

He wanted to scream as the dry air made contact with his small yet insufferable lip wound, he wanted to writhe in pain as this pain not only bulged in his lip, but also in his right arm and entire mind like as if a long stretchy needle had been pierced into him.

But alas, all the energy he once stood with drained as quickly as water going down a drain.

So, he just cried. No sobs, hicks or whimpers escaped from his dry mouth and so all he could do was cry in silence though all his tears were just crimson.

After a while of crying and swallowing saliva in pain... a thought popped up in his head. It was more like a question that he hadn't bothered to think about since all this began.

'Who is Omek?'

DOOOOOM!

A sudden burst of energy erupted through this vast empty darkness that Alex slept in. This burst was so strong that it caused the ground he slept on to quiver violently and his body to slightly jump up and down due the force of this alien impact.

'Hm?' He hummed in mind too weak to do it physically as he shakily moved his eyes from left to right trying to see what the cause of this phenomenon was.

'SO...'

A dimensional behemoth-like voice boomed through the darkness that caused it rumble and quiver once more.

Alex didn't seem to be afraid much either. For he had no such reason to do so because with that has already happened what could possibly scare this already mentally dead and energy deprived boy?

Is what he thought until his eye, that was so close to closing shut again caught a glimpse of something so inhuman, so extra-terrestrial, so unreal that it could set the whole earth into worldwide panic even during a great global war.

"What... the...?"

The boy... who'd been unable to speak, unable to move or think well or merely at all faintly questioned what he saw before as he further questioned what the point of his existence even was.
