Chapter 24 - Chapter 24

Chen Yi pressed his thin lips together and took the showerhead, rinsing off Sister Meow's fair legs. He then wiped her hands and face with a towel and helped tidy her disheveled hair.

"So comfortable~"

Li Miao'er hugged Chen Yi's arm comfortably, nuzzling against it gently.

Hope, will there be any issues if someone consumes ten Energy Crystals at once?

Chen Yi inquired silently in his mind as he took a dry towel and gently patted the moisture from Sister Meow's body.

The little kitten also wore a very discontented expression.

"If you take them, there is no problem. If Li Miao'er takes them, there is a fifty percent chance of her body overloading and exploding, and a fifty percent chance of evolving a powerful ability."

"The success rate is too low. Is there a way to guarantee one hundred percent success?" Chen Yi continued to ask.

"Take them with your blood. One Energy Crystal requires ten milliliters of blood. As long as the blood quantity is sufficient, the evolution success rate is one hundred percent."

"It's also an opportunity to study your own body."

Chen Yi grew somewhat curious. In the future, when he had his own research base, he would have to study this thoroughly and uncover all its secrets.

Li Miao'er stood up and stretched comfortably, then dragged Chen Yi to the living room, an inexplicable smile playing on her lips.

"Brother, my arms are so sore, and my back aches. Give me a massage."

She lay lazily on the sofa, extending her fair arms to beckon him to hurry up and rub them.

"Meow, wait a minute."

Chen Yi took the Energy Crystals and walked toward the kitchen.

Li Miao'er lay on the sofa, squinting her beautiful eyes, a flicker of anticipation in her gaze. Brother must know I'm hungry; he should be going to get something delicious.

Chen Yi found the measuring cup that came with the rice cooker and washed it. Picking up the kitchen knife, he gently made a cut on the bloodless tip of his right index finger.

Sss— It really hurts!

He couldn't help but inhale sharply. As the bright blood slowly welled up, another wave of dizziness washed over him.

Once Miao'er evolves successfully, I'll have her clear out the pharmacy first. If a person doesn't replenish their blood, they're useless.

Chen Yi squeezed his finger, complaining inwardly. Others use cat food to raise their cats, but here I am, raising mine with myself.

"Brother! What are you doing?"

Li Miao'er sat up and called out. It's been several minutes—how long does it take to get something?

"It's fine. It'll be ready soon," Chen Yi replied softly.

He reached up to rub his forehead, opened a carton of milk, took a big gulp, then poured the rest into the bowl.

Mix the milk with the blood, then add the Energy Crystals and stir. That way, Sister Meow won't notice.

Li Miao'er, hearing the unusual weakness in her brother's voice, ran over barefoot to check.

"Brother! Why did you cut your finger again?!"

Catching the faint scent of blood from the bowl, she gently took hold of his finger, her expression both angry and distressed.

"Brother, I really don't want to see you bleed, let alone drink your blood. Can you please stop doing this?"

Li Miao'er's beautiful eyes misted over with thick tears. She threw herself into Chen Yi's arms, burying her face in his chest as she sobbed.

She looked utterly pitiful, on the verge of tears, as if terrified he might die.

"Meow, if you take the Energy Crystals to evolve, you might die. Taking them with my blood ensures nothing will happen. Your brother has a strong recovery ability. Once you evolve successfully, just help me find some blood-nourishing herbs."

Chen Yi gently stroked Sister Meow's hair. She really was like a helpless, crying kitten—one couldn't help but want to comfort her.

"Brother… sniff… then you have to promise me you won't hide things like this from me in the future, okay?"

Li Miao'er stared at Chen Yi, her damp eyes blinking. Her cute face was flushed, and there was a hint of playful malice at the corner of her mouth.

It seemed to say: If you don't agree, I'll pester you until you do.

"I promise you. I'll listen to you from now on, okay? Don't cry. If you keep crying, you'll turn into a little kitten."

Chen Yi smiled faintly, wiping the tears from Sister Meow's face. If only she wouldn't take advantage of me like this.

With such an adorable little sister, who could bear not to spoil her?

"Brother, what's in this bowl?" Li Miao'er rubbed her teary eyes and asked, confused.

"Energy Crystals and milk. Drinking it will trigger an evolution—a qualitative leap that will greatly increase your strength."

Chen Yi supported Sister Meow's arm as they walked back to the living room. He felt dizzy, and his stomach was particularly unsettled, churning with nausea he couldn't quite release.

"Brother, I'll bring back all the blood-nourishing medicine from the nearby pharmacy later. You mustn't do this again in the future."

Li Miao'er pursed her lips and spoke softly. She set the bowl on the table, then gently helped her brother lie down on the sofa.

Her frail older brother had become even more beautiful. There was a hint of moisture in his starry eyes, his face full of gentleness and softness, his body more pliant than usual—easily pushed down so she could… devour him.

Li Miao'er held the bowl, gazing at her brother's peerlessly handsome face. She couldn't help but lick her pink lips. Thinking of the blush-inducing scenes that came to mind, she swallowed hard.

"Don't just stare. Hurry up and consume the Energy Crystals."

Chen Yi sat up and gently pinched Sister Meow's tender cheek. Her face felt a little hot—she was definitely thinking of something naughty.

"Brother, this tastes awful."

Li Miao'er picked up the bowl and took a sip. Her beautiful eyes instantly widened, and she almost spat it out.

"Good medicine is bitter. Don't focus on the taste; just drink it all in one go," Chen Yi replied softly.

"Oh."

Li Miao'er held her breath and downed the entire bowl in one gulp.

Clatter!

The porcelain bowl fell to the floor and shattered. Instantly, her body grew intensely hot, her heart hammered at a frantic pace, and her breath seared like fire.

"Mmph… it hurts!"

Li Miao'er couldn't help but press her brother beneath her. Gazing into his clear, ice-blue eyes and taking a deep breath of his scent, the pain seemed to ease slightly.

A nine-colored glow gradually illuminated the skin beneath her fair complexion. Her blood flow, heartbeat, and pulse all slowly came to a standstill.

Yet the genes within her body split and mutated at the fastest possible speed, replaced by more perfect ones.

"Ugh…!"

Li Miao'er suddenly hugged the delicate body in her arms tightly, her small, cherry-like mouth pressed against his lips. Her cute little face contorted as the pain in her body intensified.

Mmmph—

Chen Yi closed his eyes slightly, offering no resistance or struggle. Instead, he wrapped his arms around Sister Meow's delicate frame.

Gently stroking her trembling, jade-like back, feeling her scorching breath, he slowly deepened this fiery kiss.

"Phew… So refreshing!"

Li Miao'er happily released the delicate body in her arms, standing up to stretch her exquisite form.

Listening to the crisp popping of her joints, she felt she could easily take on a hundred people now.

"Cough, cough, cough…"

Chen Yi struggled to sit up. In just half an hour, it felt like a lifetime had passed—and he'd been kissed over and over during that time.

My lips were bitten and my body pinched by her little hands for so long… it really hurts.

He opened his shirt to look, only to find small red handprints all over his fair skin, some of which were beginning to swell.

"Hope, bring up Li Miao'er's information for me," Chen Yi said silently in his heart.

Name: Li Miao'er

Age: 15

Physique: 217

Spirit: 66

Charm: 96

Affection: 100

Bloodline Skill: Power of the War God (Not Fully Unlocked)

Evolution Level: First-Order, Low-Tier

Damn… Meow… there's really no way out for me in the future.

Wearing an expression of utter resignation, Chen Yi lay back on the sofa and closed his eyes. He truly wanted to sleep peacefully and have a carefree dream where he could do whatever he wished.

"Brother, guess what ability I got!"

Li Miao'er happily held her brother in her arms, rocking him gently as if cradling a precious, fragile treasure.

"I won't guess."

Chen Yi wrapped his arms around Sister Meow's waist and buried his face in her clothes. Struggling was pointless—he couldn't beat her anyway, so he might as well let her bully him as she pleased.

"Hehe~ Brother, I've awakened the Bloodline of the Demon War God. As long as I'm in combat, my battle power continuously increases. Right now, it can multiply up to tenfold. Once the bloodline is fully unlocked, many combat skills will become available."

Li Miao'er forcibly adjusted her brother's posture and stretched out a small hand to caress his tender cheek. Now, she finally had enough strength to protect him.
