Chapter 3 - Main Story: Chapter 2

** Theo **

I headed out towards the storage room where we had extra ingredients. It absolutely baffled me that we became so popular so fast. I already had to restock on some items since we were out.

I sighed, chuckling to myself as I saw the storage room in sight.

'I probably should hurry up, don't want to keep people waiting' I told myself.

Just as I was about to open the door, I heard a commotion coming from the side of the cafe.

I knew I should ignore it and hurry up, but curiosity got the better of me. I paused what I was doing and headed towards the noises.

Just to be safe, I opened my satchel up and pulled out a PokeBall. I pressed the button, releasing the Pokemon. I smirked as I saw it emerge.

"Come on out, Slowbro!" I grinned, it had been a while since I've battled or anything, so if I ended up having to engage in one, I was going to use one of my favorite Pokemon.

I'm actually about to cry chat.

Theo had been gone for about 7 minutes, and in those 7 minutes, the population of the cafe practically doubled!

Not only did I have to take even more orders, I had to make more food(we're running out of ingredients!!), serve customers, and try not to lose my patience with really indecisive customers.

I was about to snap 'cus this was the 10th time the customer changed their mind about their order when I realized something, I had special Pokemon that I had trained for helping me out in the cafe! I rubbed my temples in frustration at the realization, opening up my pack and pulled out 3 PokeBalls.

"Alright, Indeedee, Miltank, and Delibird, help me out!" I said, releasing them from the balls.

The 3 Pokemon appeared from the red light, the female Indeedee cooing, the Miltank snorting, and the Delibird making a high-pitched "Deli!"

"Haha, it's good to see you guys too." I say, patting each of their heads, smiling.

"But, we have work to do, are you guys up for it??" I asked, look at them.

The Pokemon all responded simultaneously, enthusiastically agreeing in response.

"Then it's settled! Delibird, I'll need you to help serve customers their finished order. Indeedee and Miltank, you ladies can help me in the kitchen. This should make the work go so much faster! Go team!"

The pokemon really helped. But due to the lack of materials, I had to hope the Pokemon could manage for about 5 minutes while I go get the items to restock. I was also really concerned, Theo still hadn't come back, and I didn't even know where he went in the first place. It was really annoying.

After collecting the needed ingredients and placing them back in the kitchen, I pulled out my phone. I took a breath, now that business has died down a bit, it wasn't so busy.

I planned on calling Theo, extremely concerned. He wasn't one to be late, or even leave randomly. I prayed that he was alright as I dialed his number.

(Like 30-60 minutes ago, back when he approached the noises)

Seems I was right. Some trainers had decided to engage in a battle, right next to the shop! The audacity! (cute little angry noises)

It seemed to be between a younger boy, maybe around 14 years old, and two adults who seemed to be in matching outfits with big, red 'R's on them. One, who was female, who had an intricate pink hairstyle while the other, a male, had parted blue/purple-ish hair. The boy himself had black, spiky, hair and little Z-like marks on his cheeks. He donned a hat and vest, he also looked very dirty and fatigued.

This confused me. like, why were two full on adults engaging in battle with this kid? The circumstances were quite unfair. I watch from the sidelines with my Pokemon beside me.

From the looks of it, I had an advantage if I decided to help the boy since both of the adults, let's call them Team R, had an Arbok and a Koffing. Both of whom were weak to Physic type Pokemon, which is what I had. When it came to battles, I put all my focus into them, since they were a great thing I loved to do.

The boy was battling with a Pikachu which seemed really strong, but both it and the boy seemed to be really tired and dirty. From what I could sense from this situation, I presumed that the boy (Let's call him Z Cheeks) and the Pikachu were heading to the Pokemon Center near here, then got ambushed by Team R. This theory enraged me, why would adults be targeting this poor kid? I decided then and there that now was the time to step out of the sidelines.

'Let's see if I remember a few things since the last time I battled.' I thought, cracking my knuckles and advancing.

** This may be taking a really random turn. IDK where I'm going with this, lol **
