Chapter 8 - [8] : Damn, She's Coming for Me

"This—" The administrative officer who rushed over immediately after receiving the emergency call looked troubled.

Na'er timidly hid behind Arthur, poking out half her little head to fearfully peek at him.

Being feared by such a cute little girl, the administrative officer felt heartbroken. He smiled awkwardly, "Little friend, is this girl really lost? She's not your sister, is she?"

"Don't joke about that."

"Na'er, don't be afraid. his is a good person." Arthur pulled Na'er in front of him. "The administrative officer will help you find your home."

"No, no!" Na'er desperately clutched Arthur's clothes from behind, gripping so hard her fingers turned white.

Arthur couldn't help but cover his face.

Girl, are you under some kind of spell?

We just met for the first time, why are you clinging to me so much?

Having no choice, Arthur accompanied Na'er to the police station. After cooperating with the administrative officer through an investigation, he seized the moment when Na'er let her guard down and decisively fled.

Leaving behind a heartbroken little girl who shed tears in the police station as if she had just fallen in love only to immediately suffer heartbreak.

This left a group of administrative officers flustered and at a loss, their comforting attempts completely useless. The girl just kept crying and shaking her head.

"Heh, want to scheme against me? No way!"

Why Na'er came to East Sea City, why she just happened to be saved by his heroic rescue, why she was clinging to him.

None of that mattered anymore.

Arthur was secretly pleased with himself.

"I don't care about this or that—just stay far away from her, right?"

The next few days were peaceful.

Arthur learned forging with Mu Chen and teased Mu Xi on the side.

After forging, he'd cultivate soul power instead of resting.

After resting, Su Wuyan's special training immediately followed.

Days passed like this until school started.

East Sea Elementary Academy welcomed a little devil.

Arthur, who looked like a child on the outside but had a mind as dirty as an adult's on the inside, was simply like a demon child descending when he entered a group of kids.

Walking into campus, after familiarizing himself with the environment, Arthur came to his class.

East Sea Elementary Academy was divided into regular classes and Spirit Master classes. The only difference between children in the two types of classes was whether they had soul power or not.

The educational resources for Spirit Master classes were better than regular classes, and they also taught some Spirit Master knowledge.

Naturally, Arthur entered the Spirit Master class. His class had thirty new students.

As soon as he walked into the classroom, he saw the new students in complete chaos, chattering away as they asked each other about their martial souls and soul power.

This familiar noisy sound made Arthur feel as if he had returned to his student days in his previous life.

He randomly chose a seat in the back row by the window. He really did choose randomly.

Someone couldn't wait to come over—it was a chubby kid.

"Hey, what's your martial soul?"

"Holy sword."

"Wow—" The chubby kid was impressed without understanding, and continued asking, "Then what level is your soul power?"

Arthur told the truth.

"Level 14."

Hiss!

Nearby students who heard this all turned their heads in unison, sucking in a breath of cold air.

"You're totally bullshitting!"

The chubby kid didn't believe it at all.

"Even innate full soul power is only level 10. How could you possibly be level 14!"

Arthur stopped talking. There was nothing to argue about with a bunch of kids.

"Hmph, if you don't want to say, then don't. Why make stuff up?"

The chubby kid walked away. He saw another new classmate walk into the classroom and rushed forward routinely, "Hey, what's your martial soul?"

"G-Golden Dragon." That was a soft, delicate, timid voice.

But to Arthur's ears, it was like thunder!

He whipped his head around, eyes wide, even his breathing stopped for half a beat.

At the source of the voice, what came into view was none other than Na'er.

"G-Golden Dragon? What a strange name." The chubby kid asked again, "Then what level is your soul power?"

Na'er didn't speak, because she saw Arthur and immediately ran over joyfully.

She didn't say anything either, just stood by his side like a bodyguard with her head lowered, hands clasped together with her index fingers drawing circles.

So she really is coming for me?

Rubbing his temples with a headache, Arthur let out a long sigh. "Don't stand there, sit behind me."

Hearing this, Na'er's purple eyes lit up. She claimed the desk behind Arthur, sitting on the stool, her legs hanging in the air swinging back and forth happily.

"Just what do you see in me?" Arthur began probing.

"Y-your scent... is very nice." As if the question was too direct, Na'er's face flushed red. "Very comforting."

"Very nice?"

Countless images flashed through his mind as Arthur pondered what made him different that would make this little silver dragon find him appealing.

The only thing different about him was his martial soul, right?

First, try activating the holy sword.

"Is it this?"

"Hm?" Na'er's little face showed confusion, not understanding.

Seeing this, Arthur activated the holy spear instead.

This time, Na'er involuntarily leaned her head forward, getting close to Arthur, just short of taking an epic deep breath.

"Holy Spear Rhongomyniad?" Arthur's thoughts diverged. The only connection between the holy spear and the Silver Dragon King might be elements.

He remembered that the Silver Dragon King governed elements, and the holy spear had self-condensed a soul ring granting him wind element control.

Was this the reason? He wasn't sure.

Coming back to his senses, he glanced at Na'er, who had leaned close with her eyes tightly shut, her face showing intoxication.

Arthur suppressed the holy spear's aura, covering Na'er's face with one hand and prying away the girl who was about to press against him.

Na'er was forced to lean back, but her hands still waved gently, wanting to reach forward.

He roughly understood now.

It should be the holy spear's attraction to Na'er, combined with the suspension bridge effect of the heroic rescue, leading to Na'er falling for him at first sight.

"Sigh, Eros. Sigh, Douluo Continent."

"You win."

Only six years old!

And already dealing with all this romance stuff.

The Na'er before him was undoubtedly a genuine little girl who had lost her Silver Dragon King memories.

If she were a ten-thousand-year-old woman with her memories restored, he could barely accept that.

But this six-year-old child really wouldn't work.

He wasn't a lolicon!

The garbage time that followed consisted of Na'er getting close, Arthur prying her away.

Close, pry away, close, pry away—

They waited like this until the teacher walked into the classroom.

"Hello everyone, I'm your homeroom teacher, Li Xiaoyun."

Writing her name on the blackboard, Li Xiaoyun tried to make her voice sound gentle. This year's class had two incredible children.

"Over the next three years, I will teach you the basic knowledge about Spirit Masters."

"Now, please introduce yourselves. Say your name, martial soul, and innate soul power."

With thirty people in the class, the self-introductions went quickly—actually, faster and faster. Each successive student's self-introduction was a bit faster than the previous one. This was some inexplicable competition that started from who knows which student.

Li Xiaoyun was both amused and exasperated.

Soon it was Arthur's turn. He wasn't that bored and introduced himself at normal speed: "Arthur, martial souls Sword of Promised Victory and Spear That Shines at the World's End, innate soul power level 10."

Well, actually the name was too long—he really couldn't go faster.

The class erupted in commotion.

This martial soul name was too cool, and level 10 innate soul power was also surprising.

The chubby kid pursed his lips. See, he knew it was bragging. How could it be level 14? In front of the teacher, didn't he tell the truth?

Completely unaware of the difference between soul power level and innate full soul power.

It was almost Na'er's turn.

Under the gaze of the whole class, she fearfully stood up.

Not daring to raise her head, she kept glancing diagonally downward, her hands wringing the corners of her clothes.
