Chapter 19 - Earned Last Place by My Own Ability

Ye Wanwan walked leisurely to the door of Class F, listening with interest to the gossip about herself and picking up information she had almost forgotten.

The moment she appeared at the doorway, the classroom fell into an eerie silence for a second. Then came the sounds of desks being slapped and wild whistling.

Everyone was clearly eager for some drama.

To put it bluntly, she was the clown these students used for entertainment and amusement in their usually boring lives.

And Ye Wanwan had never disappointed them before.

"Hahaha, holy crap! Ye Wanwan, your hair is epic!"

"Yeah, yeah, way more explosive than the afro from the other day!"

The boys roared with laughter, while the girls wore expressions of disgust and disdain.

"What's all this racket?! All of you, quiet! Can't you hear the class bell already rang?" The homeroom teacher's angry voice sounded from the doorway.

"Ye Wanwan, it's you again! You... just look at yourself! What on earth is this look? Get back to your seat now!" The homeroom teacher stared at Ye Wanwan's green hair, looking as if he might explode from anger. It seemed he had wanted to continue scolding her but, surprisingly, ended up just ordering her to sit down.

After all, this student is about to be expelled anyway. No point wasting breath on her.

Ye Wanwan glanced into the classroom. Without even needing to recall, she immediately knew where her seat was.

Because seating in every class was arranged according to academic ranking, and she had always been dead last. Naturally, her seat was in the very back row.

In the last row, by the window, a boy was sprawled across a desk.

His hair was a mess of unruly strands, earbuds plugged into his ears as he slept on the desk. Sunlight filtered through the gaps in the leaves outside the window, dancing across the boy's exquisite profile in slumber, making him look like he'd stepped right out of a fashion magazine.

Si Xia, the school heartthrob of Qinghe High.

Smoking, fighting, skipping class—he was proficient in all of them. His grades were a disastrous mess too. But thanks to his incredibly good looks and his family's immense wealth, he firmly held the title of school heartthrob.

Hearing footsteps beside him, the sleeping boy impatiently opened his eyes. "Get lost!"

The other students in the classroom, especially the girls, all wore gleeful expressions.

They had been admiring their prince's beautiful sleeping face, only to have it ruined by this ugly girl.

This ugly girl, what right does she have to share a desk with Si Xia!

But wow, even when he's angry and yelling, he's so, so handsome!

In her past life before rebirth, although Ye Wanwan dressed provocatively, she was actually a coward inside, filled with deep inferiority and timidity, her personality gloomy.

In the past, if Si Xia had shouted at her like this, Ye Wanwan would have obediently scurried over to a broken-legged desk near the trash can and huddled there.

This time, however, facing the boy's furious rebuke, Ye Wanwan stood there looking down at him. She gave him a faint, amused glance, acted as if she hadn't heard him, and directly plopped herself down in the seat next to him.

The boy's face darkened instantly. "Looking for death? Get lost!"

Ye Wanwan, unhurried, stuffed her backpack into the desk and pulled out her textbook and pencil case. Then, she fixed her gaze on the boy and said, "I earned last place by my own ability, and I got this seat by my own ability. What right do you have to tell me to get lost?"

Si Xia: "..."

All the students in the classroom: "..."

Even the homeroom teacher's face turned dark.
