(Pov Satoshi)
It had been five years since I first arrived in this world, and things had somehow only gotten more difficult for me. When I had first realized where I was, the idea that I could become a sorcerer and use cursed energy and even a cursed technique had been exciting, even more so when Satoru awakened his Limitless technique and began training it. Unfortunately, I had no such luck. I had always known that even if I had managed to also inherit the Limitless technique of the clan, I wouldn't be as strong as Satoru, but the news we got was worse than that.
Most children will awaken their technique by the age of five or six, so while I still had time, there was clearly something off about me, and Satoru had been the first to notice due to his Six Eyes.
"Hey, little bro, what's up with your cursed energy? Have you been using it too much?" Satoru asked one day. leaving me confused.
"No, I don't know how to use it yet, you know that. Why do you ask? Is it acting up?"
"Not exactly, I just can't see any movement coming from yours. Are you feeling ok? Maybe we should ask Uncle Toshi about it." After saying this, he took my hand and began dragging me towards Gojo Toshino, or our uncle Toshi.
After meeting with Toshino, I was checked by the healers and those well-versed in sensing cursed energy, and they all came to the same conclusion: I had no cursed energy. I was under a Heavenly Restriction. In the world of Jujutsu, those with Heavenly Restriction were considered cursed outcasts with such little cursed energy they may as well have none, but very few actually had zero at all. In fact, from my prior knowledge of the series, I could only think of two Fushiguro Toji and Zenin Maki. Their lack of cursed energy gave them a massive boost in the physical department, making them extremely strong and fast, along with enhanced senses, allowing them to react to curses and their techniques without needing to see them. I knew this was no curse, and while I was disappointed at first, the knowledge that I could be as strong as Toji was worth it. The rest of the clan did not feel the same.
"He's a stain on our clan, we can't afford to keep him here."
"Nanako and Sartori got too greedy after giving us the Six Eyes; they should have stopped."
After the news had spread, there was a big meeting of the clan elders on what should be done with me, as many of them worried that my existence might make the clan look weak, and it wasn't hard to see why. At this time, Toji was still a Zenin and was known by all as the failure of their clan. I had even overheard some of the older clan members mocking the Zenin for having such a supposed failure, and now they feared the same would be said about the Gojo clan.
Satoru and I were supposed to be in our room waiting for the clan to reach a decision, but neither of us could sit still, and with every moment, I could tell he was getting angrier at the way the clan elders were talking, and I was doing all I could to keep him from doing something rash.
"It's ok, big bro, they don't know what they're talking about." I was holding his hand while I said this to try and let him know the insults didn't bother me.
"It's not, the way they talk about you like you're not a person, it's unfair-" Satoru was cut off as we both heard one of the more conservative elders speak up.
"We should just kill him, little kids like him die all the time, especially in the world of Jujutsu, that way no one will know, and this shame will be removed from the clan."
I knew then things would only escalate, and as such, decided to shift from prevention to damage control.
"I'm going to kill them."
"Big bro, wait, just slow down. Why don't we try waiting? I doubt they'll listen to him. I don't think they like him very much anyway." I tried to talk him down, but Satoru took his duties as older brother very seriously and proceeded to use his lapse blue to tear a hole in the meeting room.
The elders were briefly shocked, but they recovered quickly.
"Satoru-Sama, you should be in your room."
"Yes, this discussion is between us elders. Why don't you go play?"
Satoru just ignored them and began looking around before asking. "Who said it?" his tone suggested he wouldn't accept anything but the truth.
"Said what Satoru-Sama we were just discussing an important decision for the clan."
"Who suggested killing my little brother?" Even without having cursed energy, I could feel the pressure coming off of Satoru in waves.
'He's still just a child, I can't imagine how strong he'll be as an adult.' I couldn't help but wonder at the sheer power my brother would wield one day. And it seemed many of the elders were also feeling the pressure, if their expressions were anything to go by. With none of them answering, Satoru turned to me. "Satoshi, did you recognize who said it?"
I had always had a very acute sense of hearing. I had thought it was just a random quirk at birth, but now it seemed like it may have been an early manifestation of the increased senses from the Heavenly Restriction. As such, I had recognized the voice of the elder who had suggested letting me die. I may not have wanted to let this situation escalate before, but that ship had clearly sailed by this point, so I pointed towards an old man in the far corner. He was Gojo Kiroto, one of the oldest still living members of the clan and, in most situations, one of the most respected, though now he seemed rather worried.
"Satoru-Sama, you must understand you will be the leader of this clan one day, and if your brother stays here, he will only make us look weak. You have to think about what's good for the clan." Kiroto believed he could convince the young boy using the clan's status and future, not understanding the bond between the two brothers.
Satoru activated his technique, pulling the old man from his seat and launching him through the paper door in the hall, causing him to land in the nearby garden. He marched over to him and gave his body a swift kick to the gut before turning back to the other elders.
"Satoshi is my brother, and if any of you try to hurt him in any way, I won't hold back next time, no matter who it is." After this, he simply walked away, and I followed him back to our own rooms.
I had wanted to try and avoid any issues within the clan itself, but having a big brother to stand up for me like that, it felt good to know I had Satoru in my corner, no matter what, and I knew I would have to be in his corner just the same even If he was the strongest he was still my brother now.
