Chapter 1 - The Betrayal

In Tyumen Oblast city in Russia, Artyom Kozlov CEO of Kozlov Corp powerful and successful Billionaire

He was a genius as he was married to Anna Volkova and greedy and cunning good-for-nothing who only wants his money and she was cheating on him behind his back with her lover Pyotr Morozov and she was even pregnant with his child she was secretly planning with Pyotr to take over his company.

One morning he just returned from his business trip and in a meeting When Anna came with Pyotr with smug and cunning smirk and said by hitting a file on his desk which was still unopened.

"You are no longer the CEO of Kozlov Corp, my darling Pyotr is CEO of Kozlov Corp"

Artyom smirked cunningly and said.

"What makes you think that he is the CEO of Kozlov Corp"

Anna scoffed and said.

"Because before going on a business trip I asked you to sign on to this file and you signed it blindly, I'm going to throw you out"

As Pyotr said while wrapping an arm around Anna's waist holding her tightly.

"And one more good news She is pregnant with my child now she is mine and this Corp is also mine"

As some lowly business partners believed it as before guards could touch him as Voice came,

"Stop"

It was none other than Anastasia Sidorova beautiful and clever Artyom's secretary and heiress of Sidorova Corp but she kept it secret from everyone and worked under him because she loved him so much as he smirked as she looked at Anna and Pyotr and said.

"You two had the audacity to kick him out from his own company who do you think you are?"

Anna scoffed and said.

"He is no longer the CEO of Kozlov Corp, Pyotr is the CEO of Kozlov Corp.

As Anastasia scoffed and said.

"Fool, look at that file again which you threw on his desk"

As Anna scoffed and took the file and she was shocked she fell on floor because it wasn't Corp papers it was divorce papers

As Pyotr went to her and asked her.

"What happened babe?"

She was still in shock as Artyom smirked and said.

"What happened? Cat got your tongue"

I-I-I am out of words. I can't-

She sat on the floor and remained silent as she stared at the floor in disbelief. She gripped the papers tightly in her hand.

Anastasia smirked and said.

"I already knew that you would do such things when Mr Kozlov married you, so I've already kept an eye on you and I changed those papers and also told him about your so-called plan with your pretty boy right Mr Kozlov?"

Artyom chuckled hearing that and replied.

Yes, that's true. As expected I knew something was off as she was spending less time with me.

He said as he walked closer to his now ex-spouse, staring at her with slight disgust mixed with a hint of satisfaction at the sight of her on the floor, clutching the papers tightly.

Pyotr looked between the two in disbelief and shock as he took a step back. He couldn't believe what was happening. He looked at Anna who seemed to have lost all her bold words and courage.

"Y-y-you don't mean that..."

He stuttered out as his hand on Anna's waist loosened.

She remained still on the ground. She was speechless. She was trying to process this information. She never thought that she would be caught on this. Her heart was beating fast. She looked at Artyom first, with a look of defeat and despair, then she looked at Pyotr, her eyes pleading for him to do something. Her grip on the papers loosened as they slipped a bit from her hold.

Artyom noticed her pleading eyes and her loosened grip on the papers and he couldn't help but chuckle softly, finding this situation quite entertaining. He looked at Pyotr and spoke again.

"Oh, I absolutely do mean it. You both thought that you could use me for my money and company. But you never expected me to have a plan of my own".

Pyotr's expression changed to a look of realization. He realized now why Artyom had been so calm before them.

"You-you knew everything... from the beginning..."

He said, unable to hide the fear in his voice. Pyotr was starting to understand the miscalculation he had made, underestimating the man before him.

Artyom chuckled again and nodded.

Of course I did. Did you really think I wouldn't notice my wife being with another man? And not just any man, but her own lover? I'm not an idiot. I knew from the start what you two were up to.

He said, a cruel smirk forming on his face as he relished the fear he saw in Pyotr's eyes.

Pyotr's hand let go of Anna's waist as he took another step back. He looked at Anna, hoping she would say something, but her silence spoke volumes. He knew at that moment that they were defeated. His heart was beating fast, and he felt a sense of dread creeping up inside him.

"B-b-but the child..."

He stuttered out, referring to Anna's pregnancy.

Artyom scoffed and replied with a cold tone.

Oh, so you still want to bring up the child? The child that's not even mine. You both thought you could fool me with that little trick too. But the truth is, I already had a paternity test done and it confirmed, yes confirmed that the child is not mine.

He chuckled and his smirk grew wider as he watched Pyotr's fear deepen. He was enjoying every moment of this.

As the guards took Anna and Pyotr from there as Artyom sat on his chair again as Anastasia looked at all lowly business partners and said

"Now whoever agreed with those two fools and tried to betray Mr Kozlov should go out on own or should I call security to kick you out"

The business partners who had foolishly supported the plot with Anna and Pyotr looked at each other with fear and regret. They knew they had backed the wrong horse and now they were paying the price. After a brief moment of hesitation, they began to quickly and quietly file out of the room, none of them willing to risk staying and angering Artyom further.

After the last of the unsupportive business partners had left the room, Artyom leaned back in his chair and let out a sigh of relief.

He then looked at her with a small but tired smile.

"I can always count on you, my trusted secretary."

Anastasia looked at him and smiled softly and said.

"It's okay Mr Kozlov, I'm always here to help you"
