The moon is bright red with the sacrificial blood and Gurudza has not yet spoken a word on Mukura's where abouts in shock because of the thought of the world ending.
Mukura herself seems to have been caught in a spell that has trapped her in a dream world where everything is alright and she is receiving affection from Takada and the twins and feels welcome. Sitting on the table in the kitchen about to have breakfast with the others as a family with a merry feeling. In her head she is thinking that everything that has occurred up until now was a dream.
But if it was all but a dream where is father? Is he not supposed to be here with all of us? She gets up off the table and runs to search for him in every corner of the house but cannot find him and she gives up while searching outside and stops to return back into the house disappointed that she could not find him. On her way to the kitchen, she sees his back entering the kitchen and she rushes to see what is going on and if it is him that she saw getting into the kitchen.
With tearful eyes she slowly gets into the kitchen fearing the disappointment of an illusion. Setting eyes on him reducing her speed taking one step at a time walking up to him seated and preparing to eat his breakfast and Monalisa holding the plates going to the table to place them sees her in tears and stops to look at her.
She asks her, "Why are you crying, Divine?"
Everyone direct their attention to her, quickly she wipes off the tears on her eyes and she replies her smiling, "Yes, I am fine!" she takes a sit on the table.
Monalisa cheerful and delighted with her breakfast preparations, "Alright, prepare your taste buds for this one! I think I nailed it this time."
Everyone looks down on the table with dubious faces. She does not take heed of their facial expressions focusing on her nicely looking and smelling.
Mukura smelling the fresh breakfast rolls she looks up to take a sneak peek while Monalisa sets the food on the table. The dubious faces light up looking at the breakfast and Monalisa signals Mukura to follow her and help her finish up the breakfast set up.
Mukura follows to help with an ever-glowing smile on her face. Her heart is peaceful and her mind is at peace enjoying every moment with her family.
In the real world, Genteel is looking for her everywhere whilst Mukura is in the cave with a demon that trapped her in the dream world.
Gwanhoya flies into the sky far above them looking at the blood moon and begins chanting again with both arms spread on her side slowly skyward she brings them with open palms. A sound like a heartbeat sound is heard coming from the blood moon and all four look up in the sky to see what is going on and they see Gwanhoya in the sky with her eyes spread out.
Genteel unable to find Mukura outside the cave enters the dark cave with her eyes bright white being wary of her surroundings keeping a searchful eye out for Mukura.
In the meantime, Gurudza prepares to face Gwanhoya again but seems to be shaking because of the thought that the world is about to end. Garamba closely watches her child approach Gwanhoya with his body shaking. She rushes toward him to try and stop him so she can help him calm down but he takes off before she could get to him.
Looking at him go she instructs Catherine, "You need to follow Genteel and help he find Mukura. I will take care of everything out here!"
"And who are you to order me around!?" she shouts impudently pointing her finger at Garamba.
Her eyes brightening up as she turns to look at Catherine who slowly puts down her hand backing up from her and gulps saliva in her mouth.
"I will be going now." Catherine stammers preparing to leave and look for Genteel so she can help her find Mukura.
Garamba watches her go for little while and she returns her attention to Gurudza who is being toyed around by Gwanhoya trembling with fear with one eye on the moon and the other trying so hard to keep at Gwanhoya.
In the dreamworld, Mukura is enjoying life with her family. Genteel visits to see her wearing a normal formal dress with a purse on her and is not a white witch. Mukura runs to meet her excited to see her. Everything seems to be perfect and the mother of all witches is not a witch and there is nothing about gods, demons, witches or the end of the world. A smile for a smile living as a one big and happy family.
Mukura embraces Genteel tight for a little while and says to her, "Welcome, mother!"
Genteel smiles and gently stroking her hair, "Thank you, Divine! But is this not time for you to go to school now?"
Mukura lessens the tightness on the embrace and reply, "I totally forgot!" she completely removes the embrace and heads into the house to prepare for school with an ear-to-ear smile and bright eyes.
Genteel chuckles and continues to where Tofireyi and Takada are and she greats them and they start talking. Mukura and Monalisa come out of the house headed for the red Honda fit car and the two do not say anything to anyone as they get into the car.
Mukura stares at Monalisa, "Is it a good thing to just leave without saying bye?" she asks.
Monalisa looks at them as they talk, "I don't think so!" she answers and starts the engine ready to go.
"This does not sound like you!"
Monalisa laughs driving to the gate, "What am I supposed to sound like little sister?"
Looking at her facial expression it seems like Monalisa does not care at all and this is unlike her. She always tells their mother when she is leaving before, she leaves but at this moment she is far from the Monalisa she knows.
"Never mind, sis! Let us just leave then." Mukura folds her hands and looks away from Monalisa.
At this moment in reality, Genteel gets to the deepest part of the cave and finds her daughter standing by the wall. She makes haste toward her calling her name but she does not respond. Get in front of her to see what is wrong and she sees her frowning with her eyes wide open and a little light in front of her idle on the spot.
She looks around her to see if there is anything that might have done this to her but finds nothing.
Smoke begins rising from the ground and from it emerges Surgat.
He growls and says, "Queen of the white witches!"
"Hello, little demon!"
"Great white witch, have you come to witness the end of the world!?"
"No, I have come here for my daughter and I am pretty sure that you have met her!"
Surgat looks at Mukura and places his hands behind her back, "Ohh yes, yes, I can see the resemblance! Instinctively, I trapped her into an endless swirl of pain that she will not be able to escape anytime soon!"
Enraged looking at her daughter standing there in a dream world she tells Surgat in a commanding voice, "Release my daughter demon!"
Surgat laughs out loud, "I think you can do that yourself! That is if you can, Genteel!"
He slowly disappears back into the darkness and the mist also vanishes. Her face turns from angry and scary to sad and concerned touching and looking all over Mukura's body as if she is search for something.
Genteel places her hands on Mukura's cheeks and the forehead together and she breathes heavily preparing to get inside her head. A white light slowly emerges from where the foreheads meet covering both of them and she enters into her consciousness and gets trapped in a dark place.
She sees Mukura standing there idle like she was before facing her back in the dark but a light is projected on her. She looks around to see if there is anyone there. She finds no one and approaches her slowly just in case something comes up out of the shadows.
Getting to her she reaches out her hand to try and touch her shoulder but her hand goes right through her. Genteel looks at her hand to see if there is something wrong.
Mukura turns with a sound that is like cracking bones coming from her turning her neck one hundred and eighty degrees. Her eyes bright red with blood and blood flowing from them.
She smiles and in a distorted voice she says, "You didn't think it was going to be easy, did you, Genteel?" she starts laughing.
Genteel steps back looking around to see if there is anything else and still finds nothing returning her attention to Mukura who is no longer there. What remains is the echo of her laugh. She reappears behind Genteel looking down and the blood flow from her eyes increased. Genteel is still busy looking at her front not at her back since she did not see anything there before.
In a heavily breathing distorted voice tone with blood beginning to flow out of her mouth, "M-o-other!" she speaks slowly while Genteel turns to look at her and she continues, "Help me please mother!" she pleads for help.
Genteel reaches out her hand and places it on her cheek and rub the blood, "I am trying my child!"
Mukura vomits blood all over Genteel and she falls on the black ground coughing out blood and she reaches out her hand to feel Genteel's cheek and she dies there on the spot.
A dark deep voice echoes from everywhere, "I warned you that you will not be able to save her, White Queen!"
Genteel is in shock seeing Mukura dead in her arms tears chasing each other down her cheeks. She has lost her daughter when she and her were just starting to be close as mother and child. The sadness and anger boils inside her.
"If only you had taken heed of my words, she would still be alive!"
"Your words are poison demon!"
"They might be but I am not the one who caused the death of my own daughter! You did Genteel. Just because you could not accept a simple truth that your daughter cannot escape the dreamworld!"
Hearing what was said by the demon, she wipes off her tears with both her hands getting up from the ground. No longer sad she walks forward not stopping.
"The blood of your daughter is on your hands, Genteel! Even if you walk away." He tries to instil guilt inside her heart.
"Your words are beguiling, demon but I will no longer indulge in your games!"
She hits the black ground with her palm and light enshrouds the whole place and she stands up, wait for the light to fade. And slowly it fades and she reappears in a tar road in the middle of it with a small red car approaching fast. The car turns to avoid her, headed for a tree and she stops it.
Both breathing laboriously in fear, Monalisa asks Mukura, "Divine, what was that?"
Looking behind using the rear-view mirror she stammers responding, "It is not a what, it is a who."
Monalisa opens the door tempestuous, "Let me go out there and give the idiot a stern talking to!"
Mukura holds her by the arm preventing her from leaving the car. Monalisa stops and glares at Mukura.
"What are you doing?" she looks straight into her fearful eyes.
"Mona, don't go! I feel like something bad is about to happen!"
"Do not worry about it. I will be fine!" Monalisa smiles removing Mukura's hand from her arm.
She approaches Genteel who is slowly approaching her also whilst Mukura hides in her seat. The face is now becoming clear to her. Monalisa sighs in relief.
"Ohh it is just you!"
"Where is my daughter!?"
Monalisa points back at the car, "She is back in the car, why? And how did you get here?"
Genteel behind them in a white dress, out of the formal she was wearing already and how did she get to the middle of the road; she scouts around to see if there is a vehicle anywhere near them. There is nothing but a completely different Genteel whose appearance differs from anything she knows. Genteel passes by her like she does not even exist or even see her. Headed straight for the car, Mukura watches her approach from behind the car seat, breathing heavily, her eyes wide open holding on to the front seat. Monalisa ignores everything and follows behind so she can continue the journey with Mukura after Genteel has said what she would like to say.
Genteel opens up the door, "Divine, we need to leave this place right now." she tells her but Mukura just moves away from her, "Baby, I know you are afraid and do not trust me right now but please you need to wake up from this delusion."
Monalisa getting there asks her, "What are you talking about? She is wake. What is going on?" she catechizes her.
Genteel ignores her getting into the car, Mukura pressing her back against the car door increasing her breathing pace and her eyes wide opening more. Genteel places a finger on the side of her head, "You need to remember my child, remember who you are and why you exist!"
Monalisa grabs Genteel by the shoulder, throws her out of the car away from Mukura gets into the car and starts driving. With Genteel gone, Mukura seems to still have not yet calm down and is still panicking.
"It will be alright, Divine." She assures her.
Genteel appears again in front of the car and she screams, "Mukura!" and huge wave hits the car destroying the front part of it.
She slowly stops breathing fast, recognising the name she has just been called by. A name she has held for a long time ever since she could remember. She holds her head with memories flooding in her mind. She screams in the car destroying it. Pieces of it levitating the air alongside a passed out Monalisa. A white light hits her eyes blinding her. As the white light fades slowly, she also slowly begins to open her eyes. She is inside their house at home her dead mother, Takada, sits on the chair watching her as she does the dishes with eyes filled with hatred.
Genteel appears in front of her again and screams out, "Wake up, Mukura!"
A sound wave hits Mukura sending her back into the initial dream. Takada around the destroyed car residues. With a malevolent smile on her face. What is this? Why am I seeing such images in my head? She thinks to herself shaking with fear and anger at the same time. She is remembering clearly the life she lived under her late step-mother who abused her so much that she never been truly happy in her life. Ever since her father died, she has never known motherly love. Mukura walks into her face. Takada`s face changes, she seems to be happy to see her alive, moments ago she was beaming with delight over the thought of her death. She holds her by the shoulders crying, pouring tears from her eyes.
"I am glad you are alright, I have been worried sick thinking that you were dead, where is your sister?' Takada looks over her shoulder to see if there is anyone coming behind her.
She removes Takada's hands from her shoulders, "So, you only acted like you love me because father was still alive?"
"What are you talking about, Divine?" she asks eluded by what she is saying and where it is coming from.
Mukura scoffs, 'Even now, I mourn your death and not a day goes by I will not forget you because you are the one who raised me, mother and I just hope that I will not have a heart like yours" tears flow out her eyes.
The love she held for her stepmother and how she treated her throughout her life after her father`s death. The pain she had to endure and she endured it and pushed through life and not even for a second has she ever despised her mother. Her sister was always there and is still there. Accepting the reality that is there and making the best of it after ending the threat that is looming around. She hugs her smiling with tears still wetting her cheeks holding her tighter. Releases her, wipes off her tears. Turn her back on Takada on her way to look for her mother`s manifestation in her dream.
"Where do you think you are going, little girl!" a dark deep distorted voice comes from behind her.
An eerie feeling is also originating from behind her, what is this? The atmosphere quite different from the one she was feeling from earlier, different from the one she felt each time she faced Gwanhoya. Something grabs her leg, stares down and sees nothing but something is grabbing her leg. Drag her making her fall to the ground and pulls her into darkness screaming, blood flows down from the darkness. She gets up off the ground with haste, two big red serpent eyes appear behind her. She feels something breathe from right behind her. Fire coming out of its nose as it breathes.
"If only you had chosen wisely, you would have been granted power and freedom beyond your wildest dreams, Mukura." the creature says, speaking behind her.
The creature growls, "But instead you shall be devoured alongside the rest of the world."
"Your words mean nothing to me, demon!" she replies.
Something strikes the ground hard, making the whole dark dimension shake hard. She looks around in the darkness where there is nothing more but the two eyes behind her. The eyes begin to elevate higher and higher into the sky. Her eyes wet up with tears filled with terror. What is she staring at right now?
A hand grabs her on the arm pulling her out of the darkness. She has returned to light and her mother stares at her. Smiling, delighted and relieved to see her well but her eyes speaking volumes of being horrified by something.
"What is wrong, Divine?" Genteel asks her, "What happened to you?"
"Tha, Tha, that, that thing mo, mo,mo, mom, What it looked like and felt like!"
"What thing are you talking about my child?" she is confused.
"It suddenly grew so tall and kept on going and growing more." Mukura tells her mother.
In her head she is unaware about what her daughter is talking about. What does she mean by growing taller and taller? What could it be that she saw in the darkness? Genteel embraces her daughter, "Do not be afraid, Divine, I will not let anything happen to you." She assures her. There is a lot of unknowns in this.
What is the ancient witch doing and why is she doing what she is doing? What is she going to gain from all of this? A wave hits them both in the dream world, a strong wind, from the east to the west. Gwanhoya appears in front of them, breathing heavily and out loud looking down. In her hand she holds her bone magic stuff. They search around for another being that must have caused the wind to blow strongly. There is no other being in sight.
"I apologise for the disappointment if you were expecting someone else!" a deep dark voice comes from Gwanhoya, much darker than her usually voice.
"Divine, my child, you need to get yourself out of this dream right now." Genteel is concerned with this sudden appearance of Gwanhoya.
"I don`t know how to mother." Mukura shivers wide open eyes laid on Gwanhoya who still is yet to raise her face to look at them.
"Divine, you need to find a way and fast!" Genteel is beginning to panic, the situation seems to be changing. A vengeful, violent aura is emanating from the ancient witch, "Divine, you need to find a way out of this dream world and fast or you will be trapped in here forever!" she shouts.
In her mind she is weak and does not think she will be able to do it after being in such a foreboding presence. The Wezhira god appears near them on their right side clicking his tongue, with his hand behind his back. Mukura is relieved to see him and having witnessed his power, knows he will be able to save her from this predicament.
"Is it really you, Lord Wezhira?" she asks he voice cheered up from seeing him.
"Wezhira god, you come to intervene and spoil my plans just like before." Gwanhoya asks looking down still.
"No, I am not the one who will spoil your whatever you are doing this time. That fate has been left in the hands of those set to either fulfil or fail their destiny, dear fellow god." The Wezhira god smiles turning to looking at Mukura, "And to answer your thoughts, young Mukura, I will not be intervening in your battle, you will have to find a way out of this on your own." His words disappoint destroying her moral.
"Bu, bu, but I can`t do what you are asking of me, I don` ...…."
"If you cannot then you die and the world ends as you know it, little girl." He cuts her off while disappearing.
All he life she has lived powerless, she has power and she is still powerless. Does power make a person strong? Or the will to do and go forth with life makes one strong and powerful? If she gets stuck in the dream world her sister will be trapped inside the witch and the whole world will burn into nothingness. Turn into an infernal pit. Gwanhoya`s body makes a crackling sound as she moves her body parts. A huge tongue comes out of her mouth drooling a lot of saliva.
"Mom, what is going on right now?" Mukura asks taking a step back terrified by what she is seeing.
Genteel moves up in front of her daughter, "You go and figure out a way out of this dream world or what the Wezhira god said will come to pass and we will be devoured into an inferno of hell."
"Mother, will you be able to hold her as I figure out how to get out of this situation?"
"I do not know, but if I don`t face her, you will not be able to escape this dream."
"But mom, he said 'fellow god' but he never mentioned any other god existing on the ...…"
"A lot of gods exist in this world, Divine and you are yet to know any of them and this is beyond me but I trust you will figure out something ...…" Gwanhoya`s tongue grabs her by the leg dragging her back to Gwanhoya. Stops when Genteel is lying right below her. The tongue returns back into her mouth with Mukura screaming, "mooooooooooooooom!". Genteel is looking at her to see but her eyes are closed, her face moving left, right, up and down making a breaking sound. She hisses getting out her serpent's tongue.
"The grant white witch that refuses to die, how do you stake your odds of surviving today?" Gwanhoya asks her but something is different about her. She cannot put it to words, is that why Wezhira called her a 'fellow god'?
She continues moving her head around her eyes closed. Genteel does not move staring at her as she moves her head hissing. She is not behaving like a normal human being. Darkness surrounds Genteel and Gwanhoya and Genteel is pulled from beneath the witch by Mukura who is spreading out her hand controlling the movement of the darkness.
"Futile." She softly says, "Both of you will perish in here today!" she foretells them.
She finally opens her eyes and glares at them. Red serpent eyes glowing in her eye holes. She waves her hand making Genteel disappear from the dream world living her and Mukura alone. Genteel`s body hits the wall of the cave and she moans getting up off the ground.
Going back to Mukura`s body holding her by the cheeks breathing heavily. Tries to get back inside the dream world, she is pushed back into the wall again. Something is interfering with her getting back into the dream. She gets ups stretching her back groaning, returns back in front of Mukura, places her hands on her neck again.
"Please, you need to get out of there, Divine, please come back out of there safe." She whispers bumping her head on Mukura.
Meanwhile, in the real world Gurudza faces Gwanhoya, the real Gwanhoya. He tries all he can to defeat her before anything else happens. He has become adapted to using his power. A large bang comes from the blood moon in the sky. Both stop their battle looking at it.
"What is going on?" slowly the lightning in his hand vanishes.
"The time has come for my master to grace this world and make it a better place!" she smiles looking at the moon.
A strong wind blows alongside multiple lightning strikes continuously forming a really strong whirlwind. It seems to be a natural disaster manifesting everything in the area being swept away. Gurudza takes a step forward to get a better look with Gwanhoya taking this opportunity she hits Gurudza with a force field knocking him out. And she levitates and floats into the centre of the disaster. She spreads her hands out and darkness comes out of everywhere on her body.
In the dream land, the mysterious Gwanhoya advances forward towards Mukura with her tongue stretching out hissing. Mukura moves back to maintain the distance. They both do not speak just keep on moving around glaring each other eye to eye. Suddenly, Gwanhoya stops moving, something seems to be distracting her and taking her attention off Mukura.
"The time has come for me to be freed into the mortal world!" she is excited, vanishing bit by bit.
Mukura shoots a blast of darkness to try and stop the Dream world Gwanhoya from going to the real world but she just smiles watching her fruitless trial and completely disappears. Mukura falls on her knees with her eyes wide open, thoughts of what is going to happen in the world flooding her mind. She screams so hard shaking the whole dream dimension crying continuously. Genteel feels the walls of the cave vibrate.
"Come home to me, Divine, I am waiting for you!" she is hopeful.
"It is a shame that your child has chosen to follow your path when she could have ruled the world alongside the ...…." Surgat stops talking, there is something wrong, "What is this? What is going on here?" he asks himself.
Genteel notices a change in Surgat. What could be making him this way? Did someone manage to stop their plan?
"Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo!" Surgat screams disappearing from their presence and Mukura returns back to the world of the living breathing heavily. Genteel puts all her attention on her daughter who has just returned to the world of the living. She kisses Mukura on the forehead, hugging her lachrymal.
"We need to go mother; I know what is going on now."
"What are you talking about?" she asks Mukura for clarification.
Mukura walks past Genteel, "Gwanhoya, she does not know what she is bringing into this world and we need to stop her from opening the portal or the world as we know it will end."
"What do you mean she does not know what she is bringing into this world?"
Mukura turns to look at her mother, "Mother, there is no time to explain, he is coming and if we do not stop him from emerging, we will not be able to stop him from entering this world!"
A huge earthquake hits, Mukura stops and listens, "What is going on mother?" she asks her confused as to what could have caused such an earthquake.
"I don`t know, but I think the battle between Gurudza and ...." Garamba walks in slowly feeling the walls with her hand.
"There you are you two," she sighs with a sad face, "We have a situation."
"What is wrong, Garamba?" Genteel inquires.
"Gurudza suddenly disappeared after the storm started and Gwanhoya also but it seems whatever that was being prepared for is now starting to take effect and we do not have much time and if we are going to make a move, we need to do it now." she cautions them.
Another earthquake hits and much stronger than the previous one. The three rush outside to see what is going on and their eyes come face to face with a dark storm in front of them and there is a huge drop of blood that is slowly forming out of the moon with the moon returning back to its original state slowly.
All of them looking at the giant drop of blood, Mukura asks, "How many people did she have to kill to achieve that amount of blood?"
"A lot." Both Genteel and Garamba answer her.
There is another earthquake that occurs and Garamba runs directly at the storm. With a worried face, Genteel calls her but she does not heed her and keeps on running towards the storm.
Mukura grabs her mother by the shoulder, "She will be alright, she is not going to the storm." She looks around, "You need to help me stop her from opening the portal."
Genteel nods in agreement, but still worried about her friend who charged head on into the dark evil storm of Gwanhoya. They begin to set up for the incantation.
Garamba searches around and she sees her child lying on the ground close to the storm. She rushes over and begins dragging him back away from the storm so he will not get sucked in. getting far enough she stops sits down and places him on her thighs, rub his face with her eyes watering up. Her eyes slowly turn black, kissing him on the forehead.
A few moments later while she rubs on his head, he begins coughing, waking up, "Mother?"
"Yes, it is me." she answers him shaking her head.
"So, I am not dead yet!" he says smiling resting comfortably in his mother`s lap.
She laughs hearing him say this, "Yes, yes, you are not dead."
"Which means I have not failed yet." He sighs in relief.
A loud bang come from the ground shaking the whole ground, as if something huge has hit a door of some sort. Genteel and Mukura feel it also and they increase their pace in creating the ground to do the incantation.
Gurudza gets up off his mother`s lap, stares at the huge storm in front of him. He searches thoroughly for Gwanhoya`s where abouts but cannot see her.
"Let's go and join the others."
She drags him so they can leave. Arriving at the point where Mukura and Genteel are, he notices the set up they have made for something apparently. Mukura sees him, dash towards him jumping on him, joyous to see him after this small time that felt like forever.
"Wow, this is something." He smiles holding her tight.
"You are the only one I did not see in my dream."
He laughs releasing her, staring her in the eye, "What are you talking about?"
"Nothing, I am just glad to see you."
Both mother glare at their children showing each other affection. They clear their throats weirdly moving their bodies around. Gurudza and Mukura and Mukura move a little bit away from each other being weird like their mothers.
"Ohh, noo, you two should continue with your," Garamba throws and waves her hands around.
Another loud bang comes from below the gigantic drop of blood. Startled by this, Mukura rushes on to the centre of the prepared place where there is a huge circle and a star inside it. Outside lies smalls stars drawn on each and every corner of the big star in the circle.
"Where did you learn this?" Garamba asked.
"Gwanhoya taught me!" she answers jocundly.
"Ohh, yes that makes sense right now." she nods her head looking back into the storm.
Mukura looks around while inside the circle at the centre, "The power of darkness and light," she whispers to herself, "Darkness and light," she looks at her mother thoughtful.
"Mom, you possess the power of light right?" she asks inquires.
"Yes!"
Mukura smiles, "Good, can you help me out with the incantation?"
"Alright," she spreads her hand out and her stuff appears in her palm.
She gets into the circle; Mukura spreads her hands closing her eyes and begins chanting loud. A huge light and a huge darkness emanate from their bodies going up into the sky like tornados. The sound coming from the underground continues with the time intervals minimising. Genteel is hit by a force field throwing her out of the circle, knocking her out. Mukura stops rushing towards her hurt mother, screaming but a barrier blocks her rising high up in the sky. Gurudza quickly rushes to Mukura while his mother rushes to her friend. He stops examining the barrier. Involuntarily, she Mukura stops screaming eyes turn pitch black as she begins to float in the air. More darkness flow out of her. Gurudza tries to hit the barrier to break it, his hand going right through the barrier and he falls inside it. Instantaneously his eyes go white, floating in the air with light flowing. There is a lot of darkness and light surrounding them moving around them violently.
At this moment something cracks the earth, the ground begins to fall inside. The Wezhira god watches in a distance worried of the coming events. The huge drop of blood drops on the cracked grounds beginning to penetrate. Gwanhoya`s gigantic whirlwind ceases as the blood burns into the ground opening a doorway. Gwanhoya smiles with her eyes bright red watching as the portal opens up for her master.
Garamba, terrified by the eerie coming from inside stands up rearing away from the whole created underground. What is it that has this much darkness inside? In all her life she has encountered a lot of demons and other being with a lot of malice but this is too much. The hatred this creature possesses is intense.
Gwanhoya turns to face her enemies that have tried to stop her smiling malevolently. Suddenly her power explodes off the charts. Garamba turns her eyes pitch black, dark aura rising from her body. She gets herself ready for battle. A hand grabs her dress from below. She glares down, staring directly into her friend's eyes. Genteel gets up off the ground, gets her stuff and stands beside her friend. Her eyes turn white, she glows white. They nod at each other and advance forward forming a magical barricade to prevent anyone or anything from disturbing the process. Gwanhoya`s lips move to the left side of the face, a devilish look on her when abruptly the earth shakes from something forcing it t be that way. They all look around to searching for where the earthquake is originating from.
A large army approaches from the northern side, behind Gwanhoya and no one can see who they are and the land they are coming from. Their march is strong enough to shake the very earth itself, the power they have demonstrated is enormous. Gwanhoya lifts herself up into the air, to see who it is that is charging an army against her. Garamba`s eyes are fiercer than ever; she readies herself for battle. Something is familiar about the essence being given off by the people headed their way. She prepares to attack them but a hiss from the opening rift grabs her attention.
"Do not fear my servant, they are not here to disrupt my ascension." A voice comes out of the rift easing Gwanhoya`s uneasiness.
The army approaches coming closer to them and their appearance is clearer, getting there, they all bow down before the rift wearing veils upon their heads covering the faces except for the eyes. Gwanhoya is confused at this point, she thought that her master has no servants beside her on the plain of the living. She looks closer at the people that worship her master and she sees a familiar face in the crowd. It is beginning to make less and less sense in her head. Why is this person here and why did he bow to her master?
She closes her eyes and whispers a few words and a fire burn in front of her and disappears. She looks to search for answers from the one who guided her but he seems to be out of reach from her. What is going on? Surgat has never been out of reach for her ever. She puts down her hand and stops launching her attack on the army returning her attention back to Garamba and Genteel. Her belief has been shaken.
"What is wrong my servant, I am the one who has been with you all this time and I have always protected you." There is a hissing sound.
She stabilises her mind, raising her arm preparing to attack Garamba and Genteel so she can try and stop Mukura and Gurudza. Enclose her entirety in darkness, dematerialising herself completely. Mothers look around trying to see where she is or going to come out. Garamba and Genteel stare at each other and nod vanishing. The drop of blood is nearing its fall into the void barrowed into the earth. The time is about to come, the leader of the people that have graced the event looks up with a smile. A red veil covering his whole head except for the eyes.
"Go and help her my beloved servant!" the voice from the rift commands him.
He gets up off his knees, bows and straight to assist Gwanhoya. Gwanhoya materialises in front of the barrier unable to bypass it with her teleportation. It feels more like the barrier that the white witch set around her enchanted forest but more powerful. She walks around it feeling it with her hand. Cogitating on a way to penetrate the barrier and stop Mukura and Gurudza from doing whatever they are doing. The leader of the people in veils reaches the side of Gwanhoya, and Gwanhoya glares at him with reviling oculus sinister like something disgusting.
Seeing how loathsome she glared at him, "I know you do not like me and I do not like you too and to be honest, I would rather kill you right but that is not up to me" he opens up about how he feels to her.
Without saying a word, she turns her back on him and continues to search for a way through. Garamba and Genteel reappear at both ends in front of them both preventing them from moving any further. Something gigantic is coming out of the rift in the earth. Taken by the event where a huge head is coming out. Wezhira god seems to be concerned on how things are unfolding, it seems his biggest fears are about to be proven correct. The young duo must have not be ready to face such a threat. Across the whole world they witness the event of the blood moon, out of it comes a huge droplet that drops on the earth's surface, red steam ascent into the sky directly at the moon. Genteel turns to look back at Gurudza and her daughter who are still stuck inside the barrier and the process they began has not even shown any change.
"What is this?" Gwanhoya seems to be disturbed by something.
Everyone looks around and sees nothing. Looking at Gwanhoya, it seems like she is looking high up above them. They are all terrified perceiving what is occurring in the sky. Something that they did not notice before. They were all concentrated more on the rift that have been ripped open deep into the deepest parts of the earth. A dark cloud accumulating in the sky, foreboding power that it is emitting is something Gwanhoya and the others has ever felt ever since they were younger.
Gwanhoya begins to accumulate a lot of dark smoke around her screaming loud. Genteel races towards her to try and hinder her attempt at stopping the accumulating clouds. The leader of the people in veils rushes to stop Genteel from trying anything to prevent Gwanhoya from destroying the dark cloud. Garamba quickly wakes up waves her hand surrounding him with fire and blows her hand arrogantly.
"Now let's see who you are behind that veil of yours," she says snapping her finger. the fire takes its time burning off the veil. Coming in contact with her eyes is someone who she was not expecting at all.
A huge wind with a smell of burning blood blows strongly on every direction, "Free at last!" a voice comes from the rift.
"If you are the one who is," she pauses pointing at him, "Then that means the one coming is ...." She shakes her head pointing at the rift, "No, no, no, this cannot be, you are supposed to be ...…." he jumps at her, restraining her to the ground stretching his neck slowly, bines crackling in it.
"Dead?" he laughs, "We snakes have the ability to resurrect each other, thankful to our lord and master, The Nyami-Nyami, snake and river god!" he closes his eyes smelling the bloody atmosphere.
Gwanhoya pushes all the darkness towards the dark clouds in the sky with all her might. With all that effort, her darkness just gets absorbed by the dark clouds. She is confused as to what is going on here, not even one of them displayed even half-way the power that she is feeling. She slowly vanishes reappearing floating in front of the rift. Genteel falls to the ground resting her nerves, exhaling softly. Gwanhoya, staring down she sees an enormous serpent head rising from the dark hole. In her head she scouts around thinking if something this big is unleashed upon the world it will destroy everything. All her strength is drained unable to move or do anything. Rain pours down from the sky unexpectedly. Gwanhoya closes her eyes feeling the drop dropping on her face. The blood scent in the air vanishes calming the violent aura in the atmosphere.
"Kill them all, Gwanhoya!" he commands her but she remains still floating above the rift.
"I said, kill them all!" he shouts.
Gwanhoya's eyes turn bright red, "Yes, master!" she disappears slowly reappearing in front of Shato who is on top of Garamba wiggling his tongue. She spreads her right hand out, glaring at them with red serpent eyes. Garamba struggles to remove herself from beneath Shato.
"What?" Shato ask her. Her stuff out of the blue sets itself in her hand.
"Nothing!" she lifts it up and runs it through his head down to Garamba through the mouth to the ground.
Genteel rushes witnessing the bone stuff piece her friend through the mouth screaming her name, tears rushing down her cheeks. Gwanhoya dematerialises again reappearing behind her, stabbing her heart from the back. Genteel falls to the ground looking at the bone stuff that has pieced through her heart. Gwanhoya kicks her out of it, immediately turning her attention towards the barrier in front of her. She looks at it closely and concentrates all of her power on one point patiently waiting for it to weaken. Catherine come up from behind stabbing Gwanhoya at the back with sharp stick. The old witch does not budge or move at all to look at her, she searches around for something and her eyes come across a huge stick nearby she rushes over to pick it up. She hits the witch on the head getting a response from her. The rain is still pouring. The witch slowly rotates enraged by Catherine's futile attempts. She screams at Catherine causing her ears to bleed while blowing her away.
Returns to her objective to penetrate into the magical barrier formed around Mukura and Gurudza. Making menial progress at a time.
Violent lightning strikes the whole rift, the rain becoming heavier and heavier, the flowing water carrying mud into the rift. A thunderstorm slowly manifests around the rift. The rupture is being filled with mud slowly closing.
"Stop them!" he roars shaking the very earth as the wound inflicted on the earth closes
Gwanhoya curve her head barrowing through, catching a glimpse of what is happening. The scissure closes off slowly, preventing her master from entering the mortal realm. The earth shudder from the sheer force of the god trying to force escape his prison. His imprisoner watches in the distance.
"How can mere mortals possess such power to fight against me!" screams out loud, "Impossible!"
"This shall not be, I will not be kept in this ….." lightning strikes him, he stops shaking the earth.
Gurudza and Mukura float descend from the light and dark storm unconscious. Waking up slowly to a struggling Gwanhoya trying to breach the barrier.
"Where is mom?" Mukura asks with her sleepy eyes searchful.
"I think they are trying to close the portal some other way." Gurudza answers her speculating also trying to see with his half-asleep sight.
Gwanhoya begins punching her way into the barrier, to increase the pace and prevent the portal from closing. The barrier disappears slowly making her fall inside the area it was protecting. The magical storm causing her efforts to be reversed. Accumulates a lot of darkness around her, attacks the magical storm hoping to disrupt it. The fissure on the ground completely closes and everyone who had come to witness the coming of their great god rise from their knees. A sad day witnessing their god being forsaken and they have travel so far to come to witness his arrival back to the land of the living to guide and protect them.
Wezhira from a distance smile relieved they have actually managed to close the portal that was bringing the snake god into the land of the living. A disaster would have befallen the people of the land. The dark light storm explodes causing a huge wave that lays waste to their surroundings sending the dead bodies far from their sight. The snake god's people retreat from the area headed back whence they came from. But how did they get there so fast and how did they know about all of this? A mist surrounds them as they march away from the battlefield.
The feeling of terror, the feeling of powerlessness, the feeling of rage, the feeling of hesitation and the bloody aura that had enshrouded the whole place is gone. The only thing left now is Gwanhoya, so stubborn that she cannot let go and return to where she belongs. She rises from the ground with her stuff in her hand. Seeing the desolated land and the portal she had opened closed. She has failed her objective to bring her master to the land of the living.
Gurudza and Mukura take their time getting up from the ground, their strength has returned, a considerable amount of it. They embrace each other Mukura crying and Gurudza smiling. They have averted their end. But it is not yet over. Mukura perceives a confused woman in the midst of the destroyed land but it is not clear who it is. The woman seems to be searchful of something. She releases herself from Gurudza headed towards the woman, and her figure seems to be similar to that of her sister.
"Muku, where are you going?" Gurudza asks confused.
"Towards that woman over there," she replies pointing at her, "She might need our help."
Mukura takes her time with her eyes very attentive towards the woman. As she gets closer, she begins to see Gwanhoya much clearer than before. Another woman comes from her blind side in the left in a shadow form, "Where are you going, Mukura?" she asks.
Mukura jumps holding her heart turning to look and she sees nothing. A hand slowly slides on her shoulder up from the back and to the front on the right and a whisper in her ear, "You should go back to him!" the shadow disappears again.
Her heart is calm now, she has seen and felt tremendous eerie and this is not going to actually scare her. She keeps on focusing on her destination. As she gets closer the woman in her sight vanishes. She stops wondering where she could have gone. She ambles closer, slowly increasing her pace. She gets to the spot where Gwanhoya was. Maybe she was just hallucinating everything. She turns to return to Gurudza, coming face to face with the red serpent eyes she saw while in the dream world on Gwanhoya's face, enraged.
"You …."
Gwanhoya screams before she could finish talking, the waves of her scream so loud, hurting her ears pushing her back. Mukura looks at her hands and there is a lot of blood coming out of them. She falls to the ground, her body shaking. Disturbed by the scream. She falls to the ground quivering unable to run or move voluntarily. Gwanhoya walks towards her, squats scanning her whole body with her stuff in her hand. She breaks the stuff creating a sharp end readying herself to end all her problems.
A spear created out of lightning strikes her by the side. Gurudza on his feet, his face contorted with rage and fear, rushing over to stop her from killing Mukura.
"Mukura!" he screams racing there throwing continuous lightning bolts sweating.
Gwanhoya vanishes glaring at him getting away from the wrath.
