Chapter 3 - The Day of the Magic Test

The day of the magic test arrived.

For every student, this day decided their future.

The entire academy was filled with excitement. Parents gathered outside, teachers stood seriously, and students waited nervously in long lines.

At the center of the hall stood a large crystal. It shimmered with different colors. This crystal revealed a person's magical ability.

One by one, students stepped forward.

When they touched the crystal, it glowed brightly — red, blue, green, and gold. Applause filled the hall each time.

Mira stood at the end of the line.

Her hands were cold. Her heart beat fast. Even though she had failed before, a small hope still lived inside her.

When her turn came, the hall became quiet.

Mira slowly placed her hand on the crystal.

Nothing happened.

The crystal remained dull and silent.

Seconds passed.

Then whispers began.

Some students laughed. Others shook their heads in disappointment. A teacher sighed softly.

"Zero magic," someone said aloud.

Mira removed her hand. Her fingers trembled. She wanted to disappear.

She bowed her head and walked away as laughter followed behind her.

That moment carved deep into her heart.

Mira did not know it yet, but the crystal had not failed.

It had simply been unable to measure the power sleeping inside her.
