Chapter 8 - Ichinose Honami

Two days passed in a flash, and now it was the fifth day.

The leaders in other classes seemed to have almost finished organizing their respective classes. This was the right time to take the next step.

Ryunosuke walked out of his room with his hands in his pockets, intending to head to school. When he entered the elevator and was about to press the button, a girl with pink-gold hair and a very cute and sweet face hurriedly ran in. The girl held her knees while panting.

The girl's chest rose and fell due to her rapid breathing, as if her uniform could barely contain the tightness. This newcomer was none other than Ichinose Honami from Class B.

After her breathing calmed a bit, Honami patted her small chest and muttered, "That was close! Good thing I didn't miss the elevator."

She then noticed Ryunosuke's presence beside her and felt bad. "Sorry for disturbing you."

"It's okay, just waiting a few seconds." After answering, Ryunosuke pressed the elevator button. The door closed, and now there were only the two of them inside the elevator.

Honami opened her phone and chatted with her friends without the slightest hesitation. She didn't feel worried or wary at all even though she was alone with a man in a confined space.

Ryunosuke could only sigh softly, but didn't say anything.

Honami seemed to remember something and asked the young man beside her. "Hello, I'm Ichinose Honami from Class 1-B. Please take care of me for the next three years."

After speaking, she extended her soft small hand toward Ryunosuke.

Ryunosuke accepted the handshake. "I'm Akasaka Ryunosuke from Class 1-D. Please take care of me, Ichinose-san."

Honami immediately waved her hand. "Just call me Ichinose, no need to be so formal. We already know each other now."

(Eh, she's really someone who warms up quickly.) Ryunosuke thought. The other party's social ability indeed didn't need to be doubted.

He didn't respond to her friendliness, instead asking back, "What do you think of this school, Ichinose-san?"

Honami pouted her lips in dissatisfaction. "I already told you to just call me Ichinose, you're really stiff."

"You're just too quick to be familiar." Ryunosuke replied with a slight complaint, then continued the previous topic to guide Honami toward the answer he wanted.

"Don't you feel this school is very unusual?"

Ryunosuke began explaining various things that didn't make sense at this school. For example, the existence of a free cafeteria, distribution of free living necessities, even free bathing supplies. It was clear all of this was prepared for certain people.

Moreover, seniors from Class D often looked very poor, even unable to buy instant noodles. These were very clear signs that something was wrong.

Hearing that explanation, Honami began to furrow her brows and think seriously.

"What you say does make sense, Akasaka-kun. So, what secret is this school actually hiding?"

Honami blinked her large beautiful eyes at Ryunosuke, as if her eyes said: I'm curious.

(Tch, another one wanting to get free information.)

But it was okay, Ryunosuke would find a way to get benefits from her later.

He raised one finger in front of the very cute Honami and said flatly, "Want to know the answer? Give me 1,000,000 personal points, then I'll tell you everything I know."

Honami widened her eyes and stared at him with an unbelieving look.

"Akasaka-kun, this joke isn't funny at all."

"I'm not joking. If you don't believe me, you can ask your homeroom teacher how much it costs to buy information about the school system. The price should be no less than 2,000,000 points."

Ryunosuke remembered the price in the original story was indeed around 2 million points. Asking for half the price from Honami was actually very cheap.

Honami was silent for a moment then answered, "Can you give me time to prepare? I want to confirm it first."

"Please." Ryunosuke waved his hand casually, signaling he didn't mind.

Honami gave a sweet smile. "Thank you, Akasaka-kun."

She immediately took out her phone and confirmed the information in her class chat group, without caring there was someone behind her seeing all her activities.

Through Honami's phone screen, Ryunosuke saw the number of group members was 40 people. He clicked his tongue in admiration. Truly "Little Angel" Honami; in just five days she had already managed to gather all 40 class members and unite them in one bond. Her solidarity was no joke.

Honami realized Ryunosuke was looking at her phone screen, but she didn't avoid it. She even boldly invited him to look together.

Currently, Honami didn't yet know this school's secret, that's why she was being so careless. If she knew that there was a competitive relationship between classes, she definitely wouldn't let the enemy side see her information.

Ryunosuke didn't accept Honami's offer. He turned his face away and closed his eyes as if resting.

Seeing that, Honami didn't say anything else and continued sending a brief message, asking her friends to confirm the truth of that information.

Shortly after, replies from her friends came in. One student had asked their homeroom teacher, Hoshinomiya Chie, and it was indeed true there was information worth 2,000,000 personal points. That homeroom teacher even told them that if someone was selling that information for 1,000,000 points, they should buy it.

Of course, all this was already predicted by Ryunosuke. Yesterday, after completing the dark transaction with Chie, he deliberately exchanged contacts to make communication easier.

When Honami was discussing with her classmates earlier, Ryunosuke secretly sent a brief message to Chie about his plan to sell information to Class B.

For Chie, this only brought benefits without the slightest loss. So, she happily cooperated with Ryunosuke from within. She even invited him to drink together as a token of thanks, but was refused by Ryunosuke on the grounds of being underage.

After confirming the situation, Honami now fully believed Ryunosuke's words. Her expression changed from relaxed to serious, but still looked cute. Indeed, beauty is justice!

"I've already confirmed it with my classmates, Akasaka-kun."

"But regarding purchasing information for 1,000,000 points, please give me time to think further. I have to discuss it with my classmates; this isn't a decision I can make alone."

"It's okay, Ichinose-san. You can also send your friend to check the condition of the upperclassmen, whether it's true as I said or not. If you're sure, I'm always open."

"But I want to remind you of one thing, do it as quickly as possible. If you're late, that information might already be useless."

After saying that, Ryunosuke slung his school bag over his shoulder. He turned toward Honami and took out his phone.

"Can we exchange contacts, Ichinose-san?"

"Of course!" Honami happily exchanged contacts.

After getting Honami's contact, Ryunosuke stepped away. All along the way to class, he kept thinking hard about how to make the contracts from both homeroom teachers not clash with each other.

Make the class points fall below 100 to get 2.1 million points, but at the same time have to make his class rise in rank.

So, there was only one way...

Ryunosuke's gaze became dark and mysterious.

(Which class should I make the sacrifice? Let me think...)
