Chapter 35 - Nagumo Miyabi Leaves in Fury

All of it was just a disguise deliberately done so Ryunosuke wouldn't appear too prominent. After all, his soul was that of an adult; if he acted too mature, people would instead feel something was off.

Manabu saw all those expression changes and couldn't help but praise.

"The impression you give is truly terrifying, as if you're a fortune teller who can calculate everything."

"First, you used Ichinose to test Nagumo's patience limits so you could determine a strategy to counter him."

"Or perhaps you deliberately approached Ichinose because you wanted to make her a pawn?"

Ryunosuke let out a long breath, his tone returning flat and cold.

"President Horikita, my only goal is to make money. For that, I can justify any means."

"If you really want to use me to help your sister, you must prepare enough money."

"If not, I can betray you at any time."

Ryunosuke looked at him calmly, and Manabu looked back without the slightest bit of fear.

After some time, Manabu was the first to look away. He was certain that the person before him was not joking. To be able to move him, there had to be sufficient profit, if not, he could turn and attack at any time.

Ryunosuke also asserted his position to the President.

As long as the money was enough, even if it meant dealing with a teacher, he truly had the confidence to do it.

Armed with his knowledge from his previous life and the fact that he was a hardcore fan of this series who had watched it many times, he was like holding a game "walkthrough."

Like having a God's-eye view, he knew exactly what moves these people would take next. If he still lost with conditions like this, then his transmigration would be in vain.

The only thing he wasn't sure about was the variable named Ayanokouji Kiyotaka. But... as long as he didn't provoke trouble with him, there should be no major problems. At least in the short term, he didn't want to deal with Ayanokouji yet because there was no benefit in it.

Manabu gave Ryunosuke long-term paid leave. Simply put, this was so Ryunosuke would have free time to help his sister, Suzune. That was the reason why he recruited a new Student Council member (Katsuragi Kouhei) to replace Ryunosuke's work.

Toward what Manabu did, Ryunosuke gave no big reaction. He was like the surface of a calm lake without the slightest ripple.

"If there's no other business, I'll go first, President Horikita."

Manabu nodded resignedly. "Go ahead. The Student Council doesn't need you for the time being. You don't need to come in the near future, just come occasionally to check in so people know you still exist."

Ryunosuke smiled. "You're abusing your authority, President."

Manabu glanced at him briefly. "I only have one more year before graduation. If you have authority, use it while you can."

"Hahaha, that's true. Then I'll go first."

Ryunosuke got up from the Student Council chair and prepared to leave. Before stepping out, he gave a warning as a good intention.

"Be careful with Nagumo. That person isn't the honest type. There's a high chance he'll make trouble in the last year of your term. Be vigilant."

Facing that sincere warning, Manabu only gave a small nod in response without taking it too much to heart.

Seeing that, Ryunosuke prepared to leave. But seeing the President's attitude of seemingly not taking it too seriously, he felt he couldn't just stand by. After all, the Student Council President's money was his money too, he couldn't be careless. He couldn't let Akane get trapped like in the original story, where they had to spend a large amount of points to save her. Because that would cause economic losses that would also harm his share of points.

It seemed when the time came, he would be forced to take action himself.
