VEGAS'S POV
Hurry up now.. I'll send you to school on my way to work..
Pete is not feeling well so I'll send you to school today...
Pete's face turned red...
He looks so cute when he is shy that makes me want to tease him more...
Babe did I hurt you last night??
Pete smacked my back and pushed me outside...
We'll go then...bye..take care of yourself... Let's go Macao..
A few days passed.. I was still busy with work and sometimes used to stay outside during the night.. But I made sure to spend as much time as possible with Pete and Macao.
I was busy working today, but made sure to come home during the night and was getting ready for bed
Pete noticed my exhaustion:
"Vegas... Are you tired??" he asked
I replied, "Sort off..." .
He expressed concern, asking, "Do you want me to help you with the shower??"
I hesitated, and told him, "No need... I can do it on my own... I'll be done soon..."
I then went into the bathroom and closed the door
While under the shower, I was lost in my thoughts for almost two hours.... I didn't notice the time until I heard Pete knocking on the door and asking if I was done yet, which brought me back to reality....
"I'll come out now... just a second..." I called out.
Pete responded, sounding concerned, "Are you okay? You took a long time in the shower."
"I'm a bit tired..." I explained. "So I stayed under the shower for quite some time."
"Then let's go to bed..." Pete said.
He then pulled me close to his chest. I put my head on his chest, hugged him, and we both fell asleep.
PETE'S POV
The next day in the evening, I called Vegas.
"Hey.. are you busy??" I asked.
Vegas said, "Sort of... What's wrong? Do you miss me babe???"
"No..." I replied.
He sounded hurt: "I'm hurt hearing you say this..."
"Childish! Fine, I miss you.." I conceded. "By the way I called to ask you whether you will be late today??"
"I'll be late.." he confirmed. "I've a lot of work to do in the office.."
"Okay then... Take care... Call me if you need anything.." I said.
"Okay babe...bye..." he responded.
After hanging up, I went to do some grocery shopping. On the way, I called Vegas again to ask him if he needed anything. He picked up the call, but I heard loud music and no reply from him.
I think he didn't realise that he picked up the call... So I kept calling his name.... Hloo....Vegas....can you hear me....
Then I heard a guy's voice from the phone; it definitely wasn't Vegas.
"Vegas.. come let's dance..." a voice said on the phone in a seductive tone.
Suddenly, my world felt torn apart. I got suspicious of Vegas. I hung up the call and called him again. He picked up the call in a bit, but this time there was no loud music.
"hey.. Baby..", he said.
" Are you....I... I'm shopping.. so called u to ask if u need anything..", I replied.
"No i don't want anything..", he said.
"okay... By the way, are u still at the office?? Have u had your dinner??", I asked, trying to sound casual.
"Mm I already had my dinner... I'm at the office..", he replied.
Tears started dropping from my eyes. "okay then bye..", I said quickly.
"bye...", he responded.
I hung up the call and I broke down. My suspicion grew even greater.
Did he lie to me? But Y?? Who was that guy?? For work?? Even if it's for work then Y did he lie to me??? I'm getting a headache thinking about all these.... Is he cheating on me? No... Vegas won't do that... He loves me.... He really does... After all that we went together.... He won't do it.... But what if? I felt helpless..
I pulled myself together and called Arm.
"Arm, do me a favor, track Vegas's location for me..." I asked.
"What happened? Are you all right?" He asked me...
If I tell him everyone will know and things will escalate. I should just keep it to myself for now.
"Nothing's wrong... Vegas called me and said he is drunk and asked me to pick him up but he cut the call before I could ask his location and now he is not picking up.. That's why I asked you to track him..." I explained.
"Oh... Just for that?... I thought something was wrong... I'll send it right now.... Let me know if you need help" He said...
"Thanks Arm..." I said and cut his call.
I hope things are not like what I think.. if it is..?? No it won't... Vegas won't do something like this.... It must be a misunderstanding.... Yeah it's a misunderstanding..... I kept telling myself....
