VEGAS'S POV
Emerging from the shower, I found Pete asleep. I approached him gently, brushing the hair from his cheek and then laying down beside him, pulling him into a hug. I kissed his forehead, then his lips, and whispered: "I'm sorry Pete... I'll deal with everything soon... Once they sign the papers... I'll be by your side forever. I promise you...."
The next evening, I came home early to find Pete giving fruits to Macao, who was studying. Macao greeted me with surprise, asking why I was back so early.
I told them I'd be coming home early every day from now on. Pete, with a smirk that momentarily shocked me, asked what I would do about my clients. His words sent a chill down my spine...
" Aren't you always busy with your meetings? Didn't you say if you don't attend you won't be able to take care of us? And suddenly today you got time... that's why I asked...." Pete said....
I felt myself calm down after hearing him.....and I assured him, "I've dealt with all of it.. They have signed the documents.. So I don't have to meet them..."
He said "Ohh..okay...." and suggested I take a bath while he made dinner. I headed to my room.
The next morning, I came down for breakfast to find both Pete and Macao in the kitchen. Pete greeted me, "You are up.. let's have breakfast together."
I agreed, and sat down with Macao, Then Pete turned to Macao and asked when his exams would finish, which caused Macao to freeze for a moment. We both noticed his sudden change...
I couldn't believe what I was hearing.
Macao announced his exams will be over in a week, but the kid actually said he didn't want them to finish so soon.
Both Pete and I were utterly confused. I had to ask why, reminding him that he usually hates exams so much he wants to "kill" whoever invented them.
He just shrugged it off, saying he didn't know why he didn't want them to end. He was not in a good mood both me and Pete could feel that....
Then Pete jumped in, offering to accompany Macao while he studied to help him concentrate, which Macao happily agreed to. That was the last straw.
In my most pitiful tone, I had to interject, "Hey... what about me?" I pointed out that Pete is my boyfriend, yet Macao is always clinging to him. I accused Pete of not caring about me, only about Macao. And then, with that damn smirk, Pete agreed to my words! "Yeah you're right... I only care about Macao..."
"You!!!!" I shouted, completely exasperated.
Suddenly, the doorbell rang. Pete went to answer it and came back with a letter in his hands. I asked who it was.
He said, "The postman... You have a letter Vegas...." A letter? In this day and age? I found it strange. "Letter? Who sends a letter in this generation?? Give me.. let me see what it is...." I took it from him, opened it, and was instantly shocked.
My face turned pale when I saw the photo inside. Pete noticed my change immediately, asking if I'd seen a ghost and what the letter was about.
I quickly tried to cover it up, stammering, "it's... it's... Nothing.. It's a notice from the company... I forgot that It was going to get posted..." I need to leave right now, I have to find out who sent this.... "You guys carry on.. I have something to deal with....." I left the room, feeling Macao and Pete's eyes on me as I hurriedly left.
Pete and Macao looked at each other...
"What's with him?" Asked Macao... Pete shrugged his shoulder saying he didn't know what had happened....
Who the hell sent this photo? I found it strange that someone would send a photo of me with one of the guys I went to the club with. Turning it over, the words written on the back sent a chill down my spine: "It's not just 1 you know. There is more. Wait for it..." Who is this? I have to find out soon, and I will!
Over the next few days, I kept receiving a new photo every day and I was desperately trying to figure out who was behind this.
Later, during dinner, Pete mentioned he was going to the Major Clan house tomorrow. I asked if something was wrong, but he just said it had been a long time since he last saw everyone and wanted to visit them. I said okay, then asked Macao when his exams were going to end. He said "the day after tomorrow". I immediately made some plans: "Let's go for a trip after his exam."
Macao asked excitedly "A trip?" and I nodded my head, a trip would help to relax after his exams. More importantly, it would give me time to spend with Pete. I felt I needed to make it up to him after neglecting him for a few weeks due to work. Pete happily agreed, saying "sure... let's go... I would also like to go on a trip." Macao looked at both of us and nodded in agreement.
PETE'S POV
The next day I went to the major Clans house. It had been so long since I'd visited, and as soon as I walked in, I spotted Mr. Tankun. He noticed me too, rushing towards me, jumping up and down, and hugging me tight. Arm and Pol came close as well.
Tankun immediately said, "Pete you came back home... I missed you so much... Have you lost weight?" I assured him, "I haven't... And I missed you too..." Arm asked if I was good, and I replied that I was great. Pol mentioned it was good to see me.
Tankun, being himself, wanted me to go to his room to watch a series right away, telling the others to get lost. I promised I would accompany him but asked to visit the others first. He started to protest with a "but...", so I just said "please...". He eventually agreed, telling me, "Okay... But be fast okay... I'll wait for you...". I responded, "okay... I'll be fast...".
I went to meet everyone including Mr Korn, Kinn, P'Chan, Porsche and some other bodyguards on my way I saw Porchay sitting alone on the balcony I went towards his and sat down beside him... I asked him why he is sitting alone and does He wants me to accompany him...
