Chapter 7 - Chapter 7- Getting a Move On (2)

The trio rode horses to their destination as the wind blew in their way. The gale breeze danced upon the starry night sky, Imaez felt the need to appreciate the view.

"What a view.." He mumbled to himself.

Marie and Lloyd were also in awe. A comforting breeze with a sky showered in stars. It felt, relieving.

"The Wind Queen would smile at this.." Marie commented.

"The Wind Queen..?" Imaez scratched his head in confusion.

"The Wind Queen. She is assumed to be the strongest ruler of Laveton before her death 40 years ago." Imaez listened with great focus. "The Wind Queen had the Soul Pact of Wind and evolved into a decade-long Pact. She was agile, strong, stealthy, and creative. Everything you'd want in a Wind user. The historians back in Cauthren deem her as the greatest ruler Laveton had ever seen."

Imaez nodded his head and thought— *Wonder if I could surpass her as a Pact user..*

The horses continued galloping onwards upon the night.

Sunrise broke out and the trio had landed in the gate of Angels. They observed from their horses and could assume a gatekeeper and applicants.

"NEXTTTT!" The gatekeeper screamed.

"I'm here to-" A man was interrupted.

"WHICH HOUSE DO YOU BELONG TO AND WHATS YOUR TITLE?!" The gatekeeper screamed once more.

"I'm from the House of Augustus and I'm a scholar… not of any title." The man spoke with insecurity in his voice.

"COME BACK TO ME WHEN YOU ARE ATLEAST A COUNT.. FILTHY COMMON MAN!"

Imaez broke the silence from observation—

"We have to be of the Count title or higher to be accepted."

Lloyd thought for a moment..- "Why don't we.. jump a noble and steal his belongings, take his family title and then enter?"

Imaez and Marie thought for a moment…

"It's the best we're gonna get for now." Marie said with disappointment.

So then, for seven hours, they waited…

.. and waited.

Until, they heard footsteps.

A man, dressed in luxury brands only available in the Noble Capital, holding bags of luxurious clothing walking just 90 feet away from Imaez, Lloyd, and Marie.

vsssshhhh! The sound of a dash occurred.

Imaez leaped and grabbed the man, grappling him behind a little trench where nobody could see him.

Imaez spoke— "House?"

The noble man replied quickly not wanting to be murdered— "I'M A JANADEN! HOUSE OF JANADEN!"

Lloyd quickly replied— "Alright then.. rich guy! Let's see if you can handle this!"

Moments passed and the group emerged wearing very very fine clothing.

Imaez had a fur coat unbuttoned as his shirt was a white long sleeve dress shirt, his trousers wide-legged and footwear being leather boots.

Lloyd had a wonderful suit that fit him perfectly, being a red suit with a white dress shirt, a rose to fit into his chest pocket.

Marie wore a dress, lathered in floral patterns as her angelic white color was basked into the night, illuminated further by the moon's brightness.

They walked up to the gatekeeper—

"House of Janaden, we are all Counts."

The gatekeeper nodded.. "I can see that through your outfit. Welcome to Angels."

The metallic gates opened slowly, creaking with every retraction.

They walked in, seeing the nightlife and lights all around.

The stars were no where to be seen in this lively city.

A sign was plastered to their right onto the main road.

It read—

"Welcome to Angels. Palace of the Nobles.

Plantation of the Common."
