As I processed the information, the gem explained that if it could not create a physical body capable of sustaining my soul, it would eventually dissipate. For that reason, it searched for a powerful source of energy—one that was also safe from the entities that were still pursuing it. That source turned out to be the core of this planet.
To achieve this, the gem used almost all of its energy to teleport us here. However, during the process of creating a body, several errors occurred, and in the end, it fused my soul with the planet's core to prevent it from fading away.
As I, a former professor, tried to come to terms with this revelation, the gem also explained that it possessed absolute dominion over energy. There was no being, anywhere in the multiverse, that had greater control over energy than it did.However, without a host, its functions were severely limited. This was why it had struggled so much to escape the powerful entities of this universe that had been chasing it.
Even so, it assured me that I had no reason to worry—for now. It had severed all possible tracking methods, and we were safe from our pursuers. Still, it warned me that if, for any reason, we were discovered and lacked the strength to defend ourselves, I would die.
The news terrified me. Trembling, I asked how I could protect myself.
The gem replied that it possessed vast knowledge of this universe, and that all of this information would be of great help to me. It then explained that within this universe there are thousands of civilizations, many of which cultivate different forms of energy to elevate their level of existence. These energies are produced by planetary cores, which are classified as follows:
Zero Planets:Planets without energy. Their inhabitants are mortal.
One- to Nine-Star Planets:Planets that produce energy. The more stars a planet possesses, the more energy it generates and the stronger its inhabitants become.
These energies include mana, soul energy, aura, sacred power, and many others.
Mortals can cultivate these energies and strengthen themselves, raising their existence up to a maximum of nine levels, as this is the highest level permitted by this universe.Between each level of existence, there are four sub-levels: initial, intermediate, advanced, and peak.
Each level of existence may receive different names depending on the type of energy used, but they are generally classified as Ascended Level One through Ascended Level Nine.
