The activation of the Genesis Records was not a simple, random event.
It was an absolute transformation.
At the very instant the system came online, an invisible wave swept across every corner of the planet. It produced no sound and no light, yet its presence was undeniable, as if reality itself had been rewritten. From the deepest oceans to the highest peaks, no form of life escaped its reach.
Animals were the first to react.
In dense jungles and open prairies, creatures of every kind began to writhe on the ground. Their bodies trembled violently, as if something alien were trying to force its way out from within. Roars, shrieks, and howls of pain shattered the world's natural calm. Some tried to flee, driven by instinct, but their limbs failed them and they collapsed again and again.
Others—more resilient, or perhaps simply more fortunate—managed to remain standing.
These animals endured the pain with primal ferocity. Their eyes shone with a mixture of terror and defiance as their muscles strained to the limit. Deep within their bodies, origin energy began to manifest for the first time, entering their hearts, flowing through their blood, and carving its way through flesh and bone.
Plants, on the other hand, seemed untouched by the chaos.
Towering trees, luminous flowers, and ancient vines remained motionless. They did not scream or writhe; they could not feel pain in the same way. Yet within every stem, every root, and every leaf, origin energy seeped in silently. Plants absorbed the change naturally, adapting without resistance. In time, they would grow stronger, longer-lived, and closer to a perfection never before seen.
The Primordials were the most affected.
At the exact moment of activation, all movement ceased.
Some had been walking, others gazing at the sky or exploring their surroundings, but all of them were frozen in place, trapped by pain. Their muscles contracted violently, and their minds were pushed to the brink of saturation. This was not merely physical suffering—it was pure, raw information forcing its way into their minds.
Time itself seemed to stop.
For several minutes, the entire planet hung in a fragile balance between chaos and order. Then, little by little, the invisible storm began to dissipate.
Animals stopped writhing. Their breathing steadied, and though many lay exhausted, something within them had changed forever. Instinctively, without conscious understanding, they began to cultivate origin energy.
As the years passed, these creatures would grow stronger, more intelligent… and far more dangerous.
Plants, silent witnesses to the transformation, grew with renewed vigor. Some developed sturdier structures; others emitted a faint, energy-laden glow. The entire ecosystem was evolving.
But the Primordials… they were different.
Before each of them, a translucent screen appeared, floating at eye level. It emitted no blinding light and cast no shadows. It simply existed, as if it had always been part of the world.
The Genesis Records adapted instantly to each bearer. Information organized itself in the most efficient way possible, adjusting to their perception, intelligence, and potential. It was not an external object.
From that moment on, it was a part of them.
That day marked the beginning of a new era.
Point of View: A Curious Primordial
On one of the continents—known as the continent of Estenor—a Primordial walked through a forest, utterly fascinated.
Surrounded by all kinds of radiant vegetation and exotic animals, the Primordial moved forward, absorbed in the scenery. The sound of trees swaying in the wind and the calls of the creatures conveyed a deep sense of tranquility.
She understood nothing; everything that happened left her in awe, and some things even frightened her. Yet before long, she would once again lose herself in the beauty of her surroundings.
Suddenly, I came to an abrupt halt.
A sharp pain pierced my head without warning. It felt as though something inside me shattered and, at the same time, reorganized itself. Images, concepts, and unfamiliar words began to form in my mind, locking together one after another.
It wasn't pleasant.
But it wasn't unbearable either.
Language.
Knowledge.
Understanding.
Everything flowed into me like a river impossible to stop.
When the pain finally subsided, I took a deep breath. My hands were trembling—not from fear, but from a new emotion, difficult to describe.
Then I saw it.
Something appeared before me, suspended in the air. My first instinct was to step back, but my legs did not respond. My body felt heavy, exhausted, as if I had been running for days without rest.
A transparent screen floated before my eyes.
It had no frame and no physical surface, yet it was so clear and defined that it felt real. Unknown letters—yet perfectly understandable—were arranged in precise rows.
I read without realizing it:
Name: Sylvanas
Race: Primordial
Title: None
Cultivation: Mortal (Initial)
Class: None
Combat Power: Mortal (Intermediate)
A chill ran down my spine.
That name… it was mine.
I didn't remember learning it, yet I knew with absolute certainty that it belonged to me. It was as if it had always been there.
I kept reading, my heart pounding faster and faster.

Lower down, an incomplete section caught my attention.

I didn't understand what any of it truly meant, but an unsettling sensation took hold of me. It felt as though someone had opened a door inside my mind, revealing a path that had always existed, hidden from sight.
"W-What… what is this?" I murmured, breaking the silence for the first time.
My voice sounded strange—trembling, as if it wasn't used to being spoken aloud.
For a brief instant, nothing happened.
Then a voice echoed directly inside my mind.
It did not come from the air or the screen.
It simply appeared.
Voice:"Ding."
I raised a hand to my head, startled.
Voice:"Congratulations. You have successfully linked with the Genesis Records."
My breathing quickened.
"W-Who… who's there?" I asked, looking around.
There was no one.
The trees continued to sway in the wind, and the nearby animals seemed just as confused as I was.
The voice spoke again, unperturbed.
System:"There is no need to be afraid. I am the system."
"The system…?" I repeated, trying to understand.
System:"The system is a part of the Genesis Records. My function is to assist and guide the host throughout their development."
"Is this… real?" I whispered.
The screen responded instantly, updating with a faint shimmer.
System:"Everything you perceive is real. Your path has just begun."
I swallowed hard.
I didn't yet understand the true scope of those words, but something inside me stirred violently—a mix of curiosity, fear, and an inexplicable sense of anticipation.
Instinctively, I knew.
The world had changed.
And I… had changed as well.
