Point of View: Frost Bear
The first Abominations arrived in silence.
They attacked without reason, without fear, without any instinct for survival. The normal bears did not understand what they were. They only knew one thing—fight, or die.
From the very beginning, I understood something: they were a different kind of threat.
At first, we fought them as we always had. Strength against strength. Claws against flesh. But the Abominations did not flee. They did not tire. And every loss weakened the tribes.
That was when I made a decision.
We stopped wandering.
I chose a place in Rasganorte that was easy to defend—a territory surrounded by natural ice formations, with a single wide entrance and multiple elevated points from which to keep watch.
There, I gathered all the bears, even the weakest ones.
Not because I cared.
But because numbers are also power.
The Abominations attacked again and again.
They entered.
They killed.
They died.
They returned.
I fought at the front.
My Frost Armor grew thicker, stronger. Every strike deepened my control over Origin Energy. Other bears began to change as well. Some awakened a spark of awareness. Others simply became stronger.
New bears arrived, drawn by safety.
And then, one day, without warning, the Abominations stopped entering.
I could feel them outside. Lurking. Watching.
But they no longer crossed the invisible boundary.
The System had recognized the place.
Ursaia.
Rasganorte was no longer just hunting ground.
It was a kingdom.
That was when I crowned myself.
There was no ceremony. No golden symbols.
I climbed to the highest point of Ursaia, my body covered in white armor, and roared.
A roar that made the ice tremble.
The bears bowed.
I was the strongest.
I was the first to Ascend.
I was the one who kept them alive.
I proclaimed myself King of Rasganorte.
Since then, the cold obeys.
The Abominations wait.
And my hunger… continues to grow.
The world is vast.
And I still want more.
