Chapter 16 - Part15:The Battle of Annihilation of Snezhnaya

Flames of the Frost Realm: Lü Bu's Path to Conquest

Far to the northernmost reaches of the continent, the nation of Snezhnaya lies eternally blanketed in thick ice and snow. Its towering castles loom faintly through the frozen plains—the stronghold of the Fatui.

Lü Bu, a warlord famed for his ferocity and ambition, commanded legions of ironclad cavalry and a host of wise strategists. The battle standards hanging high in his camp flapped fiercely in the bitter wind, a testament to his fearsome reputation.

Once, Lü Bu had signed a pact with Snezhnaya, vowing to stand against external threats and share resources alike. But as his power grew, so did his ambition, blazing like an unstoppable wildfire. No longer content to rule only a corner of the world, he hungered for more.

His strategist Chen Gong stepped forward:

"My lord, Snezhnaya is a frigid land, yet it boasts rich mineral wealth. The Fatui wield mysterious powers as well. Should you conquer them, your imperial dream shall be realized."

A ruthless glint flashed in Lü Bu's eyes. He slammed his hand on the table and rose:

"So be it! Issue the order—mobilize the army, break the pact, and march on Snezhnaya!"

Lü Bu's army surged toward Snezhnaya like a tidal wave.

At the vanguard rode Zhang Liao, mounted on a white steed with silver spear in hand. Where he passed, ice and snow exploded, and his vanguard shattered Snezhnaya's first line of defense. Though the soldiers of Snezhnaya fought valiantly, they retreated steadily before Lü Bu's brutal assault.

Snezhnaya hastily summoned the Fatui Harbingers to devise a countermeasure.

"Lü Bu is a traitorous cur! We shall strike back with all we have!" Pierro roared in fury.

But before they could finalize their plan, Lü Bu's army was already at the city gates.

Under the relentless assault of Lü Bu's siege weapons, the gates crashed open. Mounted on Red Hare, his legendary steed, and wielding the Sky-Shattering Halberd, Lü Bu charged into the city first. He moved like a phantom through enemy lines; wherever his halberd swung, cold light flashed, and Snezhnayan soldiers fell in droves.

One by one, the Fatui Harbingers entered the fray.

Tartaglia brandished his dual blades and lunged at Lü Bu, his slashes flashing in an attempt to halt the warlord.

Lü Bu let out a cold laugh.

"You dare stand in my way?"

He crossed his halberd and effortlessly blocked Tartaglia's attack, then unleashed a devastating burst of force that sent the Harbinger staggering back several paces.

The Marionette used her ingenious puppet techniques, sending mechanical constructs to surround Lü Bu from all sides. Fearless, Lü Bu urged Red Hare into a mighty leap, breaking free of the encirclement. He then charged into the puppets and whirled his halberd, smashing them to pieces.

The battle reached its climax.

Lü Bu's forces gradually gained the upper hand, and chaos reigned within Snezhnaya's castle.

Scaramouche attempted to use his Void power to turn the tide, but Lü Bu's strategists had foreseen his move. They had set up interference formations in advance, crippling Scaramouche's abilities.

Amid the fierce fighting, Lü Bu finally located the Fatui Harbingers' core stronghold.

He stormed inside alone and engaged the remaining Harbingers in a breathtaking showdown.

Pierro led the others, unleashing their full power, yet Lü Bu fought like a god of war incarnate—unstoppable. After a brutal clash, the Harbingers lay bloodied and defeated.

Seeing that all was lost, the Tsaritsa of Snezhnaya had no choice but to surrender to Lü Bu.

Standing atop the castle's highest tower, Lü Bu looked down upon the land he had conquered and laughed triumphantly:

"From this day forth, Snezhnaya is mine!"

And so Lü Bu seized control of Snezhnaya, expanding his domain to become one of the most formidable forces on the continent. His name would be spoken of across the lands, forged into an immortal legend.
