'Oh shit! This isn't about to go good.' I said to myself when I realized that Kade was about to lose his cool.
And for me to do that, I had to find the best way to tell him that I had one of the top ranking soldiers watch his every move.
What makes it twice as hard is that there is absolutely no way for me to put it to him that I had someone watching his every move without clarifying that I indeed had someone spying on him.
"Absolutely not Alpha Kade." I said, denying his accusation that was one hundred percent right.
"I just had him watching over you and making sure that you were okay.
I'm your Beta, my work is to make sure that you have absolutely no reason to question your safety within the pack.
How could I be your shield if I was coordinating the party out there?" I asked him.
Kade didn't even hesitate when he asked,
"So, you don't think that I can take care of myself?"
