Chapter 27 - Chapter 27: Mother and Son Clash

Chapter 27: Mother and Son Clash

The Truth Seeking Orb slammed down with a roar, its terrifying force erasing an entire stretch of mountain range as if it had never existed.

Truth Seeking Orbs were power that transcended even Kekkei Tōta, the very peak of what this world could produce. Only by integrating all chakra natures and fusing them into one could someone command strength like this.

Of course, Kekkei Mōra was not unique to Hagoromo. Kaguya possessed it as well.

But the meaning behind that power was different.

Most of Kaguya's Kekkei Mōra came from her Ōtsutsuki bloodline and the chakra fruit. Hagoromo's, though partially tied to his bloodline, was largely forged through his own training.

Power inherited through blood alone and power carved out through training might look similar at a glance, but when it came to real combat, they were worlds apart.

This battle proved it.

In raw strength, Hagoromo was clearly below Kaguya. Yet in actual performance, he did not fall behind at all. Their clash was evenly matched.

The reason was simple.

Kaguya's combat experience was abysmal.

In the past, her strength had been enough to suppress everything. No one could force her to truly fight. But the moment she encountered a real opponent, that weakness was exposed immediately.

Hagoromo was the opposite.

His fighting was sharp and refined. Over years of training, he had already built a style of his own.

The three collided again and again, mountains collapsing in quick succession, the shockwaves tearing across the land.

If they had not deliberately moved the battlefield to an uninhabited region, the destruction would have been beyond imagining.

"Mother, stop!" Hagoromo shouted, still trying to persuade her even as he fought. "Turning back now would be good for everyone!"

"Silence!"

Kaguya's eyes locked onto him. Veins bulged across her face as her Byakugan flared to its limit.

Above her brow, the Rinne Sharingan had already opened. The terrifying eye power within it gathered, poised to erupt at any moment.

Under Hagoromo's pressure, she was finally getting serious.

"Are you going to get serious?" Hagoromo felt her gaze like a blade and his heart tightened. He drew a deep breath. "Fine. If that's what you want…"

In the next moment, he clasped his hands together.

Chakra surged through his body, then merged with the Natural Energy around him.

His entire presence shifted into something deeper, more profound. His aura swelled dramatically.

Six Paths Sage Mode.

At the same time, Hamura, who had been watching from the side, stepped forward.

Brilliant light poured from his azure Tenseigan.

A faint golden glow rose from his body and then exploded outward. Terrifying Natural Energy rushed into him, and in the blink of an eye, his state changed completely, mirroring Hagoromo's transformation.

Tenseigan Sage Mode.

After many years training at Mount Myōboku, both brothers had grasped the true essence of Sage Mode.

They had not only mastered Natural Energy and Sage Mode itself, but had also used that foundation to develop Sage Modes that belonged to them alone.

By combining Natural Energy with their own chakra, they could unleash power many times greater than before.

It was with that strength that they dared to stand before Kaguya and attempt to stop their mother.

Boom!

Three figures streaked across the sky, crashing into each other again.

Below, Yuu watched the battle unfolding above, his voice low.

"So it's finally come to this…"

He had no intention of interfering.

Kaguya and her sons were both the same in one crucial way. They were all fiercely confident. They only believed what they judged to be right.

Kaguya believed in her power, convinced that as long as she wished it, nothing on this earth could stop her.

And the brothers were just as firm in their resolve.

Neither side had a temperament built for compromise.

If he truly wanted to, Yuu could stop them.

But that would only suppress the conflict for a short time.

What about after he was gone?

From every angle, this battle was inevitable. It would erupt sooner or later.

Rather than letting it explode after Yuu left this world, it was better to let it ignite now.

At least he was still here. With him watching, nothing truly unacceptable would happen.

That was exactly why he had made an agreement with Kaguya.

If she could defeat Hagoromo and Hamura, then afterward, Yuu would follow her wishes.

If she lost, the opposite would be true.

Kaguya had agreed without hesitation.

She had accepted readily then, but now it looked like she was about to suffer a setback.

The outcome was not yet finalized, but in Yuu's eyes, it was already decided.

Kaguya had not integrated the Ten Tails into her body, and her combat experience was still far too shallow. She could not possibly match Hagoromo and Hamura.

The end of this battle was already coming into view.

And that was exactly what happened.

In only a short time, Kaguya was already struggling to keep up.

She had unleashed everything she had.

In terms of techniques, especially ocular jutsu, she was not weak at all.

Her All Killing Ash Bones and Eighty Gods Vacuum Attack were terrifying. The Rinne Sharingan techniques she had mastered, Amenominaka and Yomotsu Hirasaka, were equally powerful.

But her practical combat ability was too poor.

Even strong abilities could not display their full effect against the brothers in front of her.

From the moment the battle began, the result had been set.

Bang!

Brilliant golden light exploded.

In midair, a golden blade descended from the heavens, as if it meant to cleave the earth in two. Its power was terrifying, sending a chill into the bones.

Hamura hovered in the sky, his whole body radiating dazzling gold. He pushed his senjutsu chakra to its limit, then detonated it in a single strike.

Golden Wheel Reincarnation Explosion!

Rumble!

The force erupted, an oppressive aura blasting outward and wiping vast clouds of dust into nothingness.

At the center of it all, Kaguya's figure was in disarray.

Compared to earlier, her aura had weakened. Even the chakra within her had been consumed heavily.

Kaguya, who had not become the Ten Tails Jinchūriki, still possessed immense chakra, but after prolonged battle, she could still be worn down. She was far from having infinite reserves.

Facing Hamura's full assault, her momentum inevitably faltered.

And in that instant, Hagoromo moved.

Suspended in the air, he drove his purple Rinnegan to their limit. The eye power within them surged, pushed to its maximum.

An ocular technique he had been preparing for a long time was unfolding.

It was about to be unleashed.
