Chapter 1 - Initialization

That day was just a normal Monday.

The kind of day nobody pays attention to.

But for Yang Jin, from the moment the alarm went off, it felt like the whole day was cursed.

"We… need to talk."

Simple words.

But they hit like a final verdict.

His wife stood by the doorway. Her eyes looked exhausted.

No anger. No yelling.

Just… tired.

"Jin, I can't do this anymore. Promises, plans, 'things will get better soon'…

You always said that. But nothing ever changed."

Yang Jin tried to say something.

To explain. To make another promise.

But the words got stuck in his throat.

She had already made up her mind.

The door closed.

The dry sound echoed through the empty apartment.

"Damn… today really sucks…"

He rubbed his face and muttered to himself.

But that was only the beginning.

Two days later, the atmosphere at work felt strangely quiet.

Too quiet.

The boss called a few employees into the meeting room.

Yang Jin was one of them.

"The company isn't doing well.

We need to cut costs… so as of today, you're all being laid off."

No sugarcoating.

"What? Just like that?"

Someone protested.

But Yang Jin said nothing.

He just stood there, staring at the floor.

"Yeah… figures this would happen to me."

In less than a week, he lost his wife, his job, and the stability of his life.

It felt like life itself was talking to him.

Game over, buddy.

The next few weeks passed in a blur.

Failed interviews.

Rejection emails.

"We'll contact you later."

"The position has already been filled."

"Your profile doesn't match our needs."

Always the same lines.

One night, after yet another useless interview, he was heading home.

Light rain made the road slick.

His eyes felt heavy. His mind was empty.

"Man… my life's turning into some trashy drama…"

A bitter laugh slipped out.

Then suddenly—

Bright headlights from an oncoming car.

Screeching brakes.

Metal crashing.

Impact.

And darkness.

When he opened his eyes, the smell of something burning filled his nose.

The car was completely wrecked, but somehow… he was barely hurt.

"Huh…? I'm… alive?"

He stumbled out of the car.

The road was empty.

Silent. Like a graveyard.

Then it happened.

The sky split open.

A streak of blue light tore across the night sky and crashed down nearby.

A meteor. It had to be.

"What… is that?"

Without thinking, he started walking toward where the light had fallen.

Was it the shock?

Curiosity?

Or… destiny?

When he reached the crater, smoke was still rising from it.

At the center lay a blue stone, about the size of a tennis ball.

It glowed softly.

Almost like it was alive.

"That's… weird."

He slowly stepped closer.

His heart pounded, like something was calling him.

"If this thing's a bomb… well, my life's already screwed anyway."

He sighed and reached out.

And touched the stone.

In an instant, a surge of energy shot through his body.

"Wha—?!"

The sensation was impossible to describe.

Not pain.

Not pleasure.

It felt like something inside him was being pulled out…

And something else was taking its place.

Yang Jin dropped to his knees.

The world spun around him, like he was falling into an endless void.

But soon…

That void began to fill.

A warm energy rose from deep inside his chest.

It spread through his entire body.

The sound of the wind.

The smell of wet earth.

His own heartbeat.

Everything felt sharper.

More… real.

He opened his eyes.

The world looked different.

"What… happened to me?"

Yang Jin slowly stood up.

His body felt light.

His mind strangely calm.

Then he realized something.

His emotions… weren't controlling him anymore.

He was controlling them.

Yes.

The sadness.

The anger.

He could feel it all…

But it was contained.

"This… isn't normal."

Over the next few days, he tested the blue energy inside him.

He could regulate his emotions, sharpen his focus…

And even influence small events around him.

This wasn't just power.

It was something deeper.

Something more fundamental.

But power always came with a choice.

"If I can change my life…

Then I could change other people's lives too."

The thought was sweet.

And dangerous.

He could take revenge.

Fix the past.

Or… do something bigger.

Much bigger.

Yang Jin decided to step away from the world for a while.

He needed to understand what he had become.

Leaving the city, living alone,

he trained, reflected, and faced his fears.

The blue energy wasn't just power.

It was… responsibility.

And at some point, he became certain.

There was a reason the blue stone had chosen him.

He wasn't chosen just to rebuild his own life.

He was chosen to help the broken stand again.

Maybe he was meant to be

the spark that lights up other lives.

Maybe…

he was the only one who could change everything.

Yang Jin was no longer a loser.

He was a man who had hit rock bottom…

and returned with something the world had never seen before.

And his story…

was only just beginning.
