Chapter 45 - Chapter 45 — A Void Refinement Level Fight?

"No chance. None of you will leave here alive today!"

Jun Wuhen roared.

Before his words had even finished, a gigantic hand of spiritual power condensed in the sky, pressing down upon the two with world-destroying might.

The air seemed to solidify, and even the Void Realm trembled beneath its overwhelming pressure, as though it could no longer bear the strain.

Mo Yu glanced back at the descending giant hand, his expression remaining calm and composed.

Just as the giant palm of spiritual power was about to descend, an invisible force suddenly appeared, stopping it in mid-air.

Jun Wuhen frowned. Without hesitation, he thrust his palm toward the Void Realm.

Boom!

Violent Spiritual Qi exploded in every direction, obscuring everyone's vision.

A clear, melodious laugh, like the ringing of silver bells, echoed through the air.

"Jun Wuhen, you actually dared to attack my Junior Brother. Is the Starry Sky Holy Land trying to start a war with the Heavenly Profound Holy Land?"

The newcomer was Su Meier.

This was also the reason Mo Yu had remained completely calm.

Although he didn't know why Su Meier hadn't shown herself earlier, he was certain she had been nearby all along.

She instantly appeared beside Mo Yu, her charming fox-like eyes carrying a trace of resentment.

She had originally wanted to watch Mo Yu panic and beg her to come out.

Who would have thought this fellow was completely fearless?

She couldn't help but wonder how he had managed to live this long.

Murong Yi was astonished.

No wonder Master wasn't afraid of anything—it turned out someone had been secretly protecting him all along.

And she was a beast-eared girl!

"Star Lord, what exactly are you trying to do?"

Seeing Jun Wuhen make his move, the Starry Sky Holy Land Elder's expression changed drastically.

"The Profound Heaven Saint Son led others to destroy an affiliated force of our Starry Sky Holy Land. He deserves to die!"

Monstrous Devilish Qi surged around Jun Wuhen, condensing into a jet-black spear that radiated a violent aura as though it were tangible.

The spear shot forward like a black dragon, tearing through the air as it pierced straight toward Su Meier.

Su Meier's pupils narrowed slightly.

With a wave of her slender hand, pink spiritual power surged forth, forming a protective barrier.

The spear struck the barrier, erupting into a dazzling burst of light.

The tremendous impact forced Su Meier back several steps, a trace of blood spilling from the corner of her lips.

"As expected of the Star Lord. Your strength is indeed formidable."

She lightly licked the blood from her lips, battle intent blazing in her eyes.

"However... this is far from enough!"

With a delicate shout, a colossal Celestial Fox phantom appeared behind her.

Its six tails unfurled, and an overwhelming pressure swept across the heavens and earth, causing the very sky to change colour.

Spiritual Qi gathered wildly, forming a massive vortex in the sky.

Jun Wuhen's expression turned solemn.

His black spear trembled as Devilish Qi surged out like a tidal wave.

In an instant, a black dragon emerged from the sea of Devilish Qi, baring its fangs and claws as it roared and charged toward Su Meier.

The Celestial Fox phantom behind Su Meier gently swept one of its tails forward to meet the ferocious black dragon.

Boom!

The giant dragon and the Celestial Fox collided, unleashing an earth-shattering explosion.

The entire space trembled, as though it could no longer withstand the terrifying impact.

The two figures clashed repeatedly in the sky, moving as swiftly as lightning.

Each collision unleashed terrifying waves of energy as pink spiritual power and black Devilish Qi intertwined, displaying a heart-stopping might.

"Master, do you think Senior Sister can win?"

Murong Yi asked nervously.

"Don't worry. She's a Nine-Tailed Celestial Fox. Fighting above her Realm is as easy as eating and drinking."

Mo Yu reassured her, his gaze fixed on the battlefield.

Although Su Meier currently appeared to be evenly matched against Jun Wuhen, there was still a difference of an entire major Realm between them. If the battle dragged on for too long, she would inevitably fall into a disadvantage.

After all, the gap between the Body Integration Stage and the Void Refinement Stage was immense. A Body Integration Cultivator's Domain alone was enough to suppress a Void Refinement Cultivator, leaving them unable to move.

"Star Lord, have you lost your mind?! Do you really intend to go to war with the Heavenly Profound Holy Land?"

Elder Lou Su shouted anxiously, trying to stop the battle.

Jun Wuhen snorted coldly.

"So what if we go to war? What does my Starry Sky Holy Land have to fear?"

As his voice fell, Mo Yu suddenly felt a chill run down his spine.

A streak of Sword Qi slashed out from the Void Realm.

The Sword Qi was incredibly swift, tearing through the air with an ear-piercing shriek.

Mo Yu shifted his body and narrowly avoided the attack.

The Sword Qi grazed his cheek, bringing with it a fierce gust of wind that sent his robes fluttering wildly.

Mo Yu narrowed his eyes and looked toward the direction from which the Sword Qi had come.

The Void Realm rippled as a black-robed figure slowly stepped forward.

His expression was cold and stern, his eyes filled with sinister intent. A terrifying aura radiated from his body, causing the surrounding space to distort.

He was unmistakably a Void Refinement Realm powerhouse.

"Master!"

Murong Yi cried out in alarm.

"Don't be afraid."

Mo Yu's voice remained calm and steady, showing not the slightest trace of panic.

"A mere Nascent Soul cultivator actually managed to evade my attack? Interesting."

Jun Sha spoke indifferently, his icy voice carrying a hint of amusement.

"But that's as far as you'll go."

He casually raised his hand and slashed out another stream of Sword Qi.

This Sword Qi was even faster and more powerful than the last. It tore through the air like a bolt of lightning, appearing before Mo Yu in the blink of an eye.

Mo Yu's eyes narrowed.

Spiritual Qi surged through his meridians as he pushed his movement technique to its limit, twisting his small body at an impossible angle.

Whoosh!

The Sword Qi barely missed him, grazing past his feet before carving a deep ravine through the earth behind him.

Without hesitation, Mo Yu retaliated.

Heavenly Profound Sword Art!

Countless strands of Sword Qi erupted around him, weaving together into an overwhelming sword domain that surged toward Jun Sha from every direction.

Each sword ray contained astonishing destructive power, enough to effortlessly kill an ordinary Soul Transformation cultivator.

"Child's play."

Jun Sha snorted disdainfully.

With a casual swing of the longsword in his hand, a colossal Sword Light appeared out of thin air.

Slash!

The overwhelming sword net was torn apart in an instant.

Without losing any momentum, the massive Sword Light continued toward Mo Yu.

Mo Yu's pupils contracted.

He twisted his body mid-air once again, narrowly avoiding the devastating strike.

The Sword Light swept past him, severing a single strand of his hair before disappearing into the distance.

Mo Yu's expression darkened.

It was only because his body had been transformed into that of a child that he had been able to dodge with such precision.

Had he been in his normal form, that strike would have hit him directly.

A Void Refinement cultivator...

The gap is simply too great.

"Kid, you've got some skill."

Jun Sha smiled coldly.

"But unfortunately... you're still going to die by my hand."

As he spoke, he raised his sword toward the heavens.

The Spiritual Qi of heaven and earth converged frantically, forming a terrifying vortex above him as he prepared his strongest attack.

"Little Brother!"

Su Meier's face instantly turned pale.

She desperately tried to break free, but Jun Wuhen held her firmly in place, preventing her from offering any assistance.

Off to the side, Murong Yi clenched her fists tightly.

Her eyes were filled with anxiety as she silently prayed for Mo Yu to survive.

Mo Yu's expression grew solemn.

He knew he couldn't dodge this attack.

And if he tried to take it head-on...

He would undoubtedly die.

With no other choice, he slowly took out a jade hairpin.

It was the protective treasure Xia Ningbing had given him before he left the Holy Land.

After all, how could he possibly dare to roam the world so boldly without a few life-saving trump cards?
