"Searching for the best possible history?"
"What you're doing is nothing more than destruction!" Jaden said.
"Are you saying sacrificing other people's lives is right?" Yugi said.
"Destruction and sacrifice? Hmph! Is that how it looks in your eyes?"
Paradox sneered. After laughing, his gaze turned sharp.
"But you're wrong. The future you believe to be correct was mistaken from the very beginning, and the future you think is wrong is the truly correct one."
"Think about it carefully. Even if I do nothing, isn't this world already filled with contradictions? Environmental destruction, conflicts across the world, discrimination between people—are those not destruction and sacrifice?"
"How do you explain all the evils humanity has been unable to resolve even now?" Paradox asked in return.
"Even if humanity can't do it now, someday we'll solve them and show you!" Yusei said righteously.
"That answer is meaningless!"
"But we rebuilt a city that had once been destroyed—"
Before Yusei could finish, Paradox cut him off.
"Revived it, right? You merely integrated Satellite and the city. I already know about that, Yusei Fudo!"
"I come from a future even farther beyond that. A future after the world has been destroyed!" Paradox said.
"The world was destroyed?"
"That's right. If history is left alone, the world will be destroyed. I came here to change that despairing world!"
"I analyzed data from every time period and discovered that Duel Monsters contain an incredible power. So I decided to begin with that point in history," Paradox said.
"You say you're changing the future, and for that purpose, you're going to destroy New Domino City?" Yusei clenched his fists, his voice filled with anger.
"Such a tiny sacrifice is merely a dull step in this grand experiment," Paradox said calmly.
"A dull step?"
"Every person has the right to live in their own future!" Jaden and Yugi said.
"Hmph. What a boring experiment," Kisaragi said.
"What?!"
"You sacrifice so many people and call it changing the future? Without those people, the future world might not even have the qualification to be destroyed, because by then, that future would no longer exist! Even you and your companions might never appear. So where would sacrifice and destruction even come from?" Kisaragi said.
"What would a woman like you know?!"
"I don't know. But I am the Duel King of this era. If there's a conflict, then we'll settle it with a duel!" Kisaragi said.
"Very well. I'll grant your wish," Paradox said.
"Kisaragi! We'll join too!"
Yugi, Jaden, and Yusei all spoke at once, each preparing to activate their Duel Disk.
"No need. The Duel King of this era is me. Let me settle this. But…"
Kisaragi looked at Yusei.
"Can you lend me your Duel Disk?"
"My Duel Disk? Could it be—"
Yusei seemed to have guessed something, but Kisaragi made a shushing gesture. Understanding, Yusei removed his Duel Disk and handed it to her.
"Thank you!"
After saying that, Kisaragi put on Yusei's Duel Disk, walked to the front, and inserted her own deck.
"I'm ready. Let's begin the duel!" Kisaragi said.
Paradox sneered. His motorcycle transformed into a small aircraft, and he stood on it as it rose into the air.
"Come, then. I'll crush the Duel Monsters you believe in!"
"Duel!" both declared.
Paradox LP: 4000
Aoi Kisaragi LP: 4000
"I'll take the first move!" Paradox said.
"My turn. Draw."
"I activate the Continuous Spell Card Malefic Territory from my hand. When this card is activated, I can activate one Malefic World from my deck!"
"I activate the Field Spell Card—the deeply sinful world, Malefic World!"
The entire plaza and the surrounding buildings were covered by a strange darkness.
"As long as this card exists, during my Draw Phase, I can give up my draw. Instead, I randomly add one monster with 'Malefic' in its name from my deck to my hand."
"And while the card activated through Malefic Territory exists in the Field Zone, neither player can target cards in the Field Zone with card effects."
"Next, I send Cyber End Dragon from my Extra Deck to the Graveyard! Appear, Malefic Cyber End Dragon!"
Malefic Cyber End Dragon
ATK 4000 / DEF 2800
"The Malefic series can be Special Summoned by sending the corresponding monster to the Graveyard!" Paradox said.
"He summoned a monster with 4000 ATK right away!" Yusei said in shock.
"Normally, Cyber End Dragon has to be Summoned using Polymerization. This guy actually took Kaiser's card and—" Jaden said, somewhat angry.
"A Malefic monster born by offering up its corresponding monster. Light and darkness… is this the power of darkness? But for Kisaragi, this is nothing," Yugi said.
"That's right. I've witnessed Professor Kisaragi's strength with my own eyes!" Jaden said.
Yusei also smiled and nodded.
"The first turn of the duel cannot conduct attacks. I set one card face-down and end my turn!"
Cards in hand: 3
"My turn. Draw!"
"I activate the effect of Maiden of White from my hand. By sending this card from my hand to the Graveyard, I can place one True Light from my hand, deck, or Graveyard face-up in my Spell and Trap Zone."
"I place True Light from my deck onto the field!"
A stone tablet engraved with Blue-Eyes White Dragon rose in front of Kisaragi.
"Next, I activate the Spell Card Roar of the Blue-Eyed Dragons from my hand. Due to this card's effect, I can Special Summon one Blue-Eyes monster from my deck, Graveyard, or banishment in Defense Position."
After Kisaragi finished speaking, the Duel Disk automatically selected a card from her deck.
"This Duel Disk really is convenient. When searching, I don't have to pick the card out of the deck myself," Kisaragi thought.
Kisaragi placed that card onto her Duel Disk.
"Come forth, Blue-Eyes White Dragon!"
Blue-Eyes White Dragon
ATK 3000 / DEF 2500
"At this moment, I activate the effect of Maiden of White in my Graveyard. If this card exists in the Graveyard when I Special Summon Blue-Eyes White Dragon, this card can be Special Summoned from the Graveyard."
Maiden of White
ATK 0 / DEF 0
"Finally, I activate True Light's effect. I can Set one Spell or Trap Card from my deck that mentions Blue-Eyes White Dragon in its card text, as long as a card with the same name does not exist on my field or in my Graveyard."
"I Set Prayers with Eyes of Blue from my deck onto the field."
